Now that FNAF4 is out, can Scott please, once and for all, tell us the real backstory, the timeline, etc?
You'll have to wait for FNAF5. It's probably already released by the time this post is submitted.
[sp]I think 2 takes place IMMEDIATELY after FNAF4. FNAF2 is dated November 13 of 1987, statistically meaning that the kid's birthday is probably before FNAF2 in the same year.[/sp]
can't be, [sp]Night 5 call of 2 says fredbear's been closed for years, and there's the implication that there's been at least on freddy fazbear restaurant between those two[/sp]
My assumption as to the scares and the reason for the nightmarish animatronics is basically [sp]the kid's been traumatized by his father scaring him with a Foxy mask before as well as leaving him at the pizzeria, so he's basically having downright horrific nightmares and thinks the animatronics are out to get him on the nights leading up to his birthday party. Kind of like foreshadowing to his inevitable fate.[/sp]
So [sp]FNF4 kid is the bite victim of 87?[/sp]

[sp]http://i.imgur.com/W8DXock.png FNAF2 has to take place at that time since that's when the check was dated. And if the bite of '87 occurred in...'87 then it has to be in the same year.
Plot hole maybe?[/sp]
FNF2 was technically first in the timeline btw.
okay so....
[sp]
Purple guy works at the Fredbear diner and witnesses a kid(possibly his son?) get thrown into the original Fredbear's mouth during his birthday party which shuts down Fredbear's. So then the FNAF2 pizzeria opens up and Purple Guy murders the four kids(using springtrap) and stuffs them in the bodies of the old animatronics. Then that place shuts down and the FNAF 1 pizzeria opens. The phone guy gets killed(by freddy?? Golden freddy maybe??) which prompts Purple Guy to disassemble the animatronics once and for all, but gets spooked by the ghosts and enters springtrap, panics, and get's crushed inside. So then THAT place closes down, and the FNAF 3 horror attraction opens and Springtrap is reawakened(possibly it's haunted by purple guy??? or somehow purple guy has survived for 30 years off pizza and rainwater???). So then that goes wrong and the place burns down and whatever's left is auctioned off to.... Uuuh??? The '87 victim grown up? I'm not sure about that last bit...[/sp]

Remember, [sp]all the security guard tapes in 2 date to a SUMMER job, whereas your check places you in november. What if 4's party happened in the summer, it gets closed down for a few months because of the bite, then when its reopened they played prerecorded messages for 2's nightguard? Would explain the birthday supplies that last the whole FNAF2 week instead of just being on day 6.[/sp]

So a [sp]pre-prequel[/sp]
So a [sp]pre-prequel[/sp]
[Sp]It'd be boring to play during the week where half the animatronics /aren't/ hungry for blood.[/sp]
[sp]At this point I'm pretty sure most of the events shown across the FNAF games aren't necessarily all related to each other and basically just stem from the fact the building itself is fucked up and haunted by a mysterious lovecraftian horror that seeps life into the inanimate and insanity into the living.
It's been established the building's been around for a really long time, so most of the events and anecdotes shown throughout don't have to be connected, they can just be fucked up shit that happened throughout the course of the establishment's existence.[/sp]
That's a good point, in the end it could just be [sp]Lovecraftian Anthologies surrounding a shitty Chuck E. Cheese.[/sp]
That's a good point, in the end it could just be [sp]Lovecraftian Anthologies surrounding a shitty Chuck E. Cheese.[/sp]
[sp]It's pretty obvious at this point that the games are connected. There's tons of evidence for it and it can't really be dismissed as just random individual games surrounding a rundown spinoff of a Chuck E. Cheese.[/sp]
[Sp]It'd be boring to play during the week where half the animatronics /aren't/ hungry for blood.[/sp]
[sp]To be fair, they aren't. The kid's hallucinating and terrified, so in a sense whenever this takes place doesn't matter because the animatronics aren't actually attacking you.[/sp]

Yeah but my problem is it's starting to feel convoluted. Like at some point you're going to get lost in all the lore and games being out of order.
[sp]The kid has got to be the puppet.
It doesn't seem like he came from a very stable family either, which may be why his father (purple guy) killed the 4 children (the bullies with the masks)[/sp]

[Sp]what I mean is, the week this kid is facing nightmares is the same week the summer job is happening, when the toys haven't been exposed to a murder yet and still have some trust in adults. It'd be more boring than what the kid is hallucinating.[/sp]
This may be the most black ink I've ever seen in any thread.

This is really nothing, you should have seen the Bioshock thread when Infinite released.
What the hell guys? I go to sleep for 4 hours and this is what happens?

I think they accumulate over time and cause Freddy to appear? I'm not entirely sure but I remember hearing something about Freddy being under the bed.
The DLC better take place after the events of the third game. I wanna know where the remainder of the animatronics are auctioned off to.
I miss the 3D cut scenes from the 2nd game.

Let the spooks commence.
Ahh yeah, they most likely cause freddy to appear, How do some people already have all the minigames/extras? it just came out today!
Wow, we're nearing 4000 posts, guys.
There's probably something hidden akin to the FNAF3 minigames.
