Really though, what would this movie gain from being rated R? Gore and extra swearing? Because that's what makes a movie scary.
Good horror can always be achieved at PG-13 level, and if it gets to a certain level of horror, maybe that should merit the R rating (The film The Conjuring was rated R due to the level of horror).
To me, swears and gore don't make a horror movie scary.
I still think the first FNAF was the best. It had a certain purity and naivete to it, if that makes any sense.

Really hoping that the animatronics stick very close to their game designs with some detail and practicality inbetween although with the money and dedication put into this so far, it's very likely.
Also hoping that they stick with a nostalgic theme for the chain as a whole so it contrasts with Chuck E Cheese's "trying too hard to be hip" basis.

Russia is very different to places like the US in that regard.
Anyway the fnaf games have hardly any gore at all in them and still made me piss myself so as long as Scotts working on it I spose it'll work out regardless of rating tbh

In the US, kids can get into an R-rated movie as long as they have someone over 18 escorting them. So if the underage portion of the fan base wants to see the movie, they can just get their parents or older siblings to see it with them.

I would pay good money for Blue Velvet era Lynch to have directed the movie.
I finished yesterday FNaF 1 on Android, not the 6th night yet thought. It was funny because the game plays easier on a tablet but for some reason the jumpscares are broken, you heard them scream but the picture goes 3 fps.
