Foxy and Freddy look cool, but Chica and Bonnie look ridiculous.
They're still really impressive though, especially considering his age. (early teens, I think?)

While Bonnie and Chica do look like they were made with papier-mâché, Springtrap takes the fucking cake for me.
He looks like Scooby Doo on meth.
Imagine if scott just said fuck it and just decided to 3D print the models of all the animatronics WHILE scaled to the height of an average human down to every detail, that shit would be the motherfuckin ASS!

It would be rather painful, considering all the required materials like plastic and properly sized metal pieces to place the costumes on top of. Fur is also really hard to simulate.

The old one is just salty because he knows he looks like literal cat vomit compared to the new one that wasn't rushed at all.

Finally (mostly) finished the office! I still have to texture the poster and drawings on the wall (and the poster will have to wait until I’ve finished Freddy (who just needs rigging and flexing), Bonnie, and Chica (whom the cupcake is also waiting on) as well as the show stage), and I also want to add a few more details to the back of the room (a chair, a phone, maybe a clock; don’t know if I’ll model the surveillance monitor now or model it with Mike).
This took way longer than I expected it to. I blame all those pointless TVs (Seriously, does anyone have any idea why those are there aside from visual interest? I would've guessed that they were left over from a previous security system before the tablet came along, but the tablet's been around since the previous restaurant!). Oh, and the damn spider webs (so much work for such a tiny and hard-to-see detail; this is why I need to listen to my professors more :v:).
[sp]Also I now know how much of a wimp I am because Freddy's eyes are creeping me out.[/sp]

Did he really have to go for the faux-"found footage" approach with paniced heavy breathing and running about quickly? I want to see your handiwork, not see you pretend they could jump out at any moment.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but do you think it's a bit to late to make a FN@F2 map for gmod and sfm? It's been sat on my hard drive for a while now and I was wondering if it was worth finishing.

If u feel like mapping it, then go for it
You might end up making best one from em all :overyourhead:
What I don't get about the Plushtrap models is why they're both so square, new one even more so. One look at his full body image and you can tell that he's not square at all, the corners of his body and head don't have sharp edges. That was where the first one was actually a little more correct. I mean, I know it's an easy mistake for a beginner to make (don't know who made those models and how much modeling experience they have), but still.

These need to get flagged like hell.
The second one is now gone, only a matter of time before the former goes as well.

So, on the Steam Community page for FNAF 4, someone has trouble figuring out how Fredbear managed to get into the bedroom though he closed the door on the enemy… then he had a moment where no laughter or footsteps were heard, then Fredbear ended his game faster than Scott Cawthon could try making games in actual 3D without faking it, probably never.
…I've often thought 2D games faking 3D don't always make a good combination when you have to program values and calculations for if the "enemy" entity is supposed to move around or start the "attack". Isn't Scott himself kinda confused with his work especially when he adds plot information on the fly with each game?
I'm confused by what you're trying to say with that post, at least. are you complaining about the use of 3D models or animations or the story? or both, somehow
I'm confused by what you're trying to say with that post, at least. are you complaining about the use of 3D models or animations or the story? or both, somehow
The use of 3D in a 2D engine like this and thus faking the effect of the former, by not actually rendering the third dimension.
Freddy can ex. get into Mike Schmidt's office when you're supposed to be able to see him do so, but apparently Scott couldn't bother trying to make animations for the event. At the same time, this is one of the problems where you could only see either/or Bonnie/Chica… but never simultaneously if *both* happen to be present.
Additionally, with the problem the guy described where I linked, he had trouble keeping Fredbear off even though he did everything right… unless it's related to closing the door on the enemy too late, but he never saw Fredbear on the bed nor in the closet.
EDIT: In short, TheCorrellRoyHD is frustrated that he lost to Fredbear, who technically didn't get inside the bedroom but somehow did. That's why I think games relying on pre-rendered graphics like this don't work out, even if you try animating everything simultaneously while ex. transitioning to the bedroom doors and from them, making the game take up so much space. If it was 3D rendered you'd actually have the ability to roam around the place while simultaneously always be aware of if *something* got inside by the sound of footsteps and breathing behind the neck.
It's a shame CreepyPasta's animatronics skinning looks rushed- the endoskeletons look so much cooler by comparison.

Yo, just started playing FNAF 3. How am I supposed to uh, not die? It seems very vague. In the first two you had very defined fuck off buttons but uh, in this one, I'm just sort of having staring contests with Springtrap, the molded cheese rabbit.

You play the kid sound into nearby rooms to lure Springtrap away. That's pretty much the main thing you have to do

Should I play it in neighboring rooms, or just spam it in the corner of the building furthest away?
Also is the exit door anything to worry about? the whole 'people will be getting past you to get to the exit' thing seemed foreshadowing

It only works in nearby rooms if I recall correctly. Make sure to close the vent that leads straight into your room if he is in that area.
Been forever since I watched FNAF3 so there might be more to it than that.

Most likely if it's realtime rendering, Clickteam Fusion just wraps around the user's monitor. I remember when people mentioned fullscreen bugs in FNAF 4 and Scott tried to fix it, he made it worse and had to undo his attempt.
