Hm, It seems BB works very similiarly to Freddy in Five Nights 1.
(taken from my reddit post)
He actually goes to CAM 07 and the hallway but the game doesn't have an image for when he is there nor is there code that checks this. Much like freddy in fnaf1, BB has a set path that goes (seemingly): Start > CAM 07 > Hallway > Left Vent > You. And once again much like freddy in the first game each movement is accompanied by him making a sound. (Hi, Hello, Laughing).

My guess is that the comment number variable is an int, and when it reached the maximum value (32767) it flipped to negative.

I personally despise the fandom now, but I know not all of them are dumb, proof being you guys here on this thread. Fandoms usually suck in general anyways, I never really understood people getting too heavily into them.
The FNAF fandom went to shit pretty quickly though.
every big fandom is full of garbage especially ones dealing with anthropomorphic animals in any regard and the fnaf fandom is certainly no exception. just accept it as best you can and move along

I still think that scott wanted us to decompile the game. He clearly went out of his way to make sure that the "it's him" text that can be seen out of frame during one of the error screens that appear after the cutscenes wouldn't show up when we extracted the graphics. He set it to be a string instead of an image.
