Never seen the movie, but it looks like pure fucking nightmare fuel.
I was just hoping you hadn't had some prior experience with human remains inside animatronic characters, because that would be terrifying.
Well in that movie the robots take a human, skin it, robotify the skele, put him back together ,and let him consciously walk back to his buddies. If I remember correctly, they killed him, but the skeleton popped out and used nail guns to shoot them.
It sounds cheesy in description, but its fucking gross.
All this talk of killing people and deconstructing them and putting them inside robot suits reminds me.
I've always thought Freddy's was much scarier when the premise was that a group of animatronic children's performers see you as a metal endoskeleton at night and will forcibly stuff you into a suit due to a malfunction in their programming. Personally, I feel like a good portion of the creep factor was lost when it turned into "ooooh spoopy ghost babbies are haunting the robots" and the whole murder mystery with the purple man. Things don't [i]need[/i] to be haunted to be scary.

Yeah, that was definitely a scarier concept, because with robotics technology going the way it is, something like that could happen [I]in a matter of years[/I]. Didney Worl is already working on free-roaming animatronics with facial recognition systems and all that jazz

There was definitely a sweet spot between "they're just malfunctioning bots" and "spoopy ghost babbies". The first game's lore was way better. The robots were creepy in and of themselves, and the extremely vague hints at dead children and pus/blood was eerie as all hell.

Idk man, it's worth noting that outside of the Purple Man just existing, and the dream sequences between nights, there's absolutely no indication that there's ghosts. FNAF2 straight up says that it's malfunctioning robotics in facial recognition software. Don't let the dumb as shit rebornica fandom of "SPOOPY GOST CHILD" distort how Scott actually conducts the story.
If I'm correct, Scott did confirm that the bots were "haunted", quotes by him. I imagine it is all programming errors, brought on by the spooky ghost stuff, i.e. the animatronics acting agressively towards adults to protect the kids. It is more enticing for the spoop and interesting factor with the less you know.

It has never been confirmed that the Kids are in fact haunting the Animatronics.
The Marionette is an animatronic puppet, and maybe he just shoved kids into the other Animatronics.
Not to mention, we don't even actually know what the Marionette is, people just think that the kid that was outside a diner when Freddy was giving cake to kids, is the Marionette just because his tear flow is in the same place as Marionette's and is killed by the Purple Guy.
But they forgot a major flaw. How did the Marionette become haunted by the kid? The Family Diner was years before FN@F2 and judging by the style of the Puppet and Toy Animatronics, the Puppet was only introduced in the Pizzeria FN@F2 is at. So explain why to me how the Marionette is behind everything if we don't even know if he was there in the first place?
But the Mini-game has the Marionette shoving the Animatronic suits onto the kids!!
....And? Remember the rule in FN@F1 where the Endoskeletons aren't allowed to do anything without their suit on? In fact, that is the reason you die in the game. They think you are an Endoskeleton with no suit on. So they shove you into a suit.
Marionette is obviously an Animatronic as well, so he probably followed the rules as well.
I still think the Animatronics are just fucked up robots that shove kids into their bodies.

Yeah, currently working other things and stuff. And nah, I'm fine. I'll probably end up re-doing most of the things I've done for this anyways.

People just believe the theories since it seems the most logical....and famous youtubers who play the games mention the theories.

I don't want to pressure him but can someone tell me the purpose for the fake hack thing? Was it something about the haters or what? It's a game that Scott made back in 2013, released on Google play for Android devices. The only thing he did was make it PC compatible and stick a Freddy head on the character. I highly doubt it took him longer than a day. In fact, I'm pretty sure he did it today.
And I posted this a while back, but he made the fake "hacked" announcement to shut people up, because all day long the twelve year olds on Steam were going "SCOTT'S WEBSITE IS DOWN IT'S BEEN HACKED OH GOD FNAF 3 IS CANCELLED" after scottgames.com went under for a few hours. Basically this whole thing is a case of Scott being a bit snarky, which I think is hilarious.
But yeah, when you work on something for a long time, it's nice to take little breaks once in a while. If he wants to take time off to make an old game of his PC compatible and release it to shoosh the annoying people, more power to him.

But it hasn't changed the series, nothing has.
It's the theories that changed the series.
Scott has neither Confirmed nor Deny any Theory. Everything is left up to the player while Scott give little hints.
While the Animatronics are Haunted, we don't know by what. Some people think its the souls of the dead kids, or just some other reason.
For all we know, when Scott said Haunted, he could just be messing with us, he could mean it in a different way than the actual definition.
No one knows except Scott himself.

I assure you, that if you went and played FN@F1 and 2 without hearing anything about it except the concept of the game, people won't think that the dead Kids are haunting the Animatronics.
Heck, even FN@F2 being a Prequel to FN@F1 is a Theory, Scott has not confirmed or Denied it.
So for all we know, FN@F2 could have taken place after FN@F1.
The entire game's lore is fueled by Theories, theories that people latch onto since the theory makes the most logical sense.
Oh and famous Youtubers spouting the theory making kids interested and acting like it is 100% confirmed.
