anyone have a general breakdown of all the new stuff concerning the "lore" or whatever?
[sp]a group of people have set up a haunted house attraction based around fnaf, 30 years later after the last restaurant closed. you play as part of the staff of the attraction, mimicing a security guard for the people walking through. in the first night, nothing happens. in the second night, the group finds an old animatronic in one of the locations, from a boarded-up room. you have to keep this animatronic, "springtrap" from killing you as well as avoiding hallucinations of the old animatronics, because the air is dank.
on night two, the group finds old tapes from the old restaurant chain. throughout to night 6, you listen to phone guy talk about the restaurant's policies and instructions. one thing he talks about is how the suits can be taken off the animatronic and worn to be like mascots, although if you're not careful the springs inside the suit will release and you'll die. he also mentions a "safe room" for employees who need to get the suit off.
after each night to night 4, you play an atari-style minigame where you are one of the 4 animatronics from #1, in the order of freddy, bonnie, chica, foxy. You're in the #1's location. You chase around a purple freddy and you are eventually assaulted by the purple man, and you are torn apart. there are two rooms (which look like the bathrooms) that are boarded up and a room above that you can't get into. in the west hall of the restaurant, there are some odd things on the wall: a 6-digit number that i can't remember right now and not sure the purpose of, "dead" cupcakes, "BBdblclick", and shadow bonnie.
after night 5, you play as a crying, grey kid in the minigame. you walk up to the room that you couldn't access before, and inside are 4 other grey kids with a slight bounce animation (presuming they are still alive), the purple man, a springtrap costume, and what looks like 3 arcade machines. this is presumably the safe room. the purple man is afraid of you for some reason, and eventually retreats to inside the springtrap costume. presuambly, the springs release and the purple man bleeds out the suit and dies. the minigame ends.
another minigame can be found where you play as BB (after clicking on a poster twice), collecting ballons. you can clip outside the game box and you'll find some dark-figured balloon boys, the grey crying kid, and a large, dark, tree-like structure.
another minigame allows you to play as shadow bonnie (clicking on the shadow bonnie statue in night 5), and essentially you just glitch until you get to a screen where springtrap and golden freddy are on stage, and a bunch of kids are cheering.
another minigames allows you to play as chica (i think toy chica, by clicking on various cupcakes) and you're giving cupcakes to kids.
after night 6, you see a newspaper clipping where the attraction burns due to faulty wiring, and whatever was left is auctioned off.[/sp]
Well, looks like my texture extracting technique doesn't work. I instantly get static and "Game Over" as soon as the night starts. If Scott put something in to prevent me from extracting, that's brilliant.
I did get these, though:

What's sad about the bad ending is that [sp]the gang's remains are just busted old husks of an old era just waiting to get picked off. The music doesn't make it any better.[/sp]
It's like having a brand new toy, years later it won't look that bad, chewed up bits. Another few years later you find out it's missing some limbs and lost it's regular color. Then until you finally forget about it that it's all left in ruins and it's just a reminder that everything doesn't last forever and simply goes away.
What's the best use for the audio device? i'm stumped.. and i'm on Night 5 Lol

You use it to lure him away, so try to use the audio device each time you open the camera, make him stay away from you. Try to get him to Cam 01, the one next the top exit/entrance.

Anyone know if there is a [sp]good ending?[/sp]
Anyone know if there is a [sp]good ending?[/sp]
[sp]I'd assume so. why else would there be a bad ending if there wasnt a good ending? it'd just be the ending if there wasnt a good ending also[/sp]
Figured out to unlock extras, so that's nice.

I'll work on making WEBM's of the jumpscares.
decided to put together all the fnaf game's stories all into one big thing.
[sp]Fredbear Family Diner opens up. A child is murdered by a purple man behind the restaurant which results in a bad reputation, forcing it to close down soon.
Fazbear Entertainment tries to repair the Fredbear animatronics but due to their creepy appearance, they're just left for dead and new, kid friendly toy animatronics are built. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza seen in FNAF 2 opens up to the public in 1987. After a while though, Purple Guy begins to start killing children again, causing the restaurant to regain it's bad reputation from long ago. The Marionette places the souls of the children into animatronics after the killings. the The restaurant is placed on lockdown and is placed under investigation. The restaurant will have one more birthday party though to keep a kid from being disappointed. Jeremy Fitzgerald is put on shift at the time in order to prevent any animatronics ( whom have been acting oddly ) from harming adults or children. This results with the Bite of '87 happening, with Jeremy being the victim. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closes down again, but promises to reopen even if it has a smaller budget.
The Freddy Fazbear's Pizza seen in FNAF 1 opens up. The restaurant still has a bad reputation from FNAF 2. Parents complain about the animatronics smelling like reanimated corpses. The restaurant fails to make a profit and is eventually forced to close down.
Purple Guy returns to the restaurant after the shut down, and lures the animatronics to the boarded room. Purple Guy then proceeds to destroy the animatronics day after day, until they're nothing but bits and pieces. The children escape from the suits they were placed in by the Marionette and chase after Purple Man and force him into the backroom. Purple Guy, frightened by the spirits, runs into the "Spring Bonnie" suit that was to never be used. The suit malfunctions and closes in on Purple Guy, causing him to bleed out and die horribly.
Fazbear's Fright beigns construction and a fire breaks out, burning the husks of the animatronics. Fazbear's Fright is almost ready to open, they need something big to scare people though. Springtrap is found and is planned to be used as part of the attraction though. The owner of Fazbear's Fright though, being the uneducated fool that he is, fails to realize that the suit is haunted by Purple Man, who still strives to kill. Eventually though, Fazbear Fright burns down, burning most of the attraction down. What is left is auctioned off. Thus closes the story of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. [/sp]
Scott wasn't fucking around this time.
Better keep the ventilation in check, and good luck with that. Pretty good so far, I'm on night 5 right now. Are there really 10 nights...?

Did anyone ever e-mail Scott and ask if he has plans to release the models since the series is finished (hopefully)? I know its a fat chance, but goddamn would it be nice.

All of it makes alot of sense, and still has a nice happy ending to it.
[sp]The Killer is gone for good, the spirits are appeased and move on. And everything that was Freddy Fazbear's pizzaria is now gone or auctioned off to different people.[/sp]
And thus, sadly, a truly good game series is complete.
[sp]Unless Scott feels like milking something out of it some more, in which case FN@F4 :v[/sp]

[sp]So about that Bad Ending...
Remember how its been said that there's been a room that's specifically set off to the side so that the staff can get in and out of the suits without people seeing them?
Also, remember how a certain guy decided to fake being a guard and steal a golden freddy suit to kill children?
That suit shown at the end of the mini-game was of a golden bonny. Meaning that the purple guy freaking out is actually the REAL security guard, not the other guy. He also unfortunately found the 4 corpses in that room, when suddenly another kid shows up. So what does he do when a kid suddenly shows up in the room that no one besides staff is supposed to be? Why, jump in the suit!
Unfortunately, he forgot to make sure everything was ok, and well, CRUNCH. Poor guy was just trying to do his job. Now he's stuck trying to endless catch that "fake" security gaurd. Who happens to be you. Since when he was alive, he was the only hired guard, so anyone else trying to be one must be a fake, and thus removed.
Just some musings. Also, been awhile since I've looked at FNAF stuff, so I might have some things wrong. Not too sure though.
Glad to see the 3rd game has some proper gameplay, can't wait to see all the secrets 'n stuff.[/sp]
If scott doesn't make a fnaf 4 i hope he at least gets back into game making riding on the success of fnaf.
[sp]Am I the only one who feels kind of sad that the Purple Guy died how he did? That death looked brutal and the animation didn't help.[/sp]
for the love of god he better not make a fourth
The whole story just kind of leaves me feeling sad. A place that was supposed to be innocent and fun just went to shit, and no matter how many times they tried to bring it back, it was always doomed to fail. These robot characters that were programmed to make kids happy and keep them safe were turned into killing machines. Those kids that were there to "Celebrate!" were killed by the same character they probably begged their parents to take them to see. I even sort of feel bad for Purple Guy - he was a deranged murderer, yes, but what a horrible way to die...and then to just have your remains sealed off in a room and forgotten about for decades... And to top it all off, despite what happened there, Freddy Fazbear's must have held a lot of nostalgic value for a lot of people, but instead of being given new homes with collectors like the Rock-a-fire Explosion, what little is left gets destroyed in a fire. I doubt any of the animatronics were salvageable.
It just really strikes a chord deep down with me, for some reason. I guess for the same reason I used to feel bad for the animatronics at Chuck E Cheese when kids were being abusive little shits to the poor robots. lol

I really would love seeing more horror related games from Scott, he's obviously got a knack for them. Its safe to say whatever he does after FNAF I'll be keeping an eye on what he's doing.

[sp]considering what he did earlier and how he taunted the spirits once he got inside the suit, he deserves it.[/sp]

[sp]That theory is not sound, it can be and already is disproven. The Purple guy from 3, is the same Purple guy from 2 and 1. He is the killer, he got killed by the Animatronic suit. There is tons of evidence to support this.[/sp]
[editline]3rd March 2015[/editline]
[sp]Oh and there are multiple suits that have Spring cranks. So the other suit that was used to kill the kids was probably spring crank as well. Not to mention, it was never stated it was Freddy, it could have been Bonnie.[/sp]
The TV Tropes Nightmare Fuel page has something I didn't think about but would be rather terrifying if true:
[sp]Tying this info back to the trailer: Springtrap's twitching could be Purple Guy's death throes as the suit tears him apart. Scott may very well have shown us Purple Guy's death without anyone but him knowing it until now.[/sp]
God, I tried playing this now, with headphones on. What the fuck was I thinking?

I'm sure he will and hopefully it will be good. I highly recommend playing The Desolate Hope if you haven't already, it's just as good as FNAF in its own little way. The artstyle is astonishing, and the gameplay is something else entirely.
