Easy to forget how black and darkly humorous these games can be. Toreador march playing quietly as a [sp]horrible man dies horribly in what can only be described as a child-friendly, iron maiden-like mascot costume rips him to pieces in a former pizzeria. Only thing missing is the stock sound of children cheering as the former tormented souls feel release at their killer's comeuppance[/sp]

Gameplay-wise I'd say it'd be in this order:3-1-2
You can actually manipulate Springtrap and all of your systems are critical to success. In the first game there's just enough of a threat from the main 4 to make it enticing. In the second game there's just so much shit going on that keeping track of the animatronics isn't even important, just checking the perimeter. The first two games become a formula of looking back and forth, flicking lights, closing doors/putting on the mask, checking pirate cove/cranking music box.
Lore-wise I'd say that it goes: 1-2-3.
Mostly it's because with the unknown there's a lot more enticing information to dive into. Freddy's 1 left a lot of open-ended questions with no answers. While the Atari-styled minigames are interesting ways to tell story, it makes the story spoonfed to you in a way; the first game's story was told almost exclusively through posters strewn about the location that detail-oriented people decided to investigate. Without explicitly answering any questions, it led people to have their imaginations run wild with it, which is great for a new IP to gain traction with.
Also I personally find the whole "haunted" thing to be a bit lame; before it became clear that it was the lost souls of children, it seemed like a somewhat-realistic thing to occur: robots with faulty/malicious programming gone haywire paired up with the already-existing creepiness from pizza-place animatronics. It was just the right amount of unsettling and realistic to make a lasting fear in people even after they exit the game. Yeah being crushed in an iron maiden fashion is a real fear but it's not as realistic when you take into account that it's caused by ghosts.

The main problem I have with it is the way I end up unwillingly imagining every detail of the scene.
You guys don't really realize that [sp]his fate wasn't even all that bad. I mean yeah he kinda died painfully but at the end of that he's free to continue doing what he was doing before but with no consequences. I would be surprised if the children's souls were able to rest in peace knowing that.[/sp]

Except he's [sp]spent a very, very long time sitting alone in pain in a boarded up room[/sp]; and as far as we know can't go outside on his own or function during the day (I imagine he would've if he could).
I've been a game grumps fan for about 3 years, since day one. Watching them play FNAF is fucking infuriating everytime. shut the fuck up suzy.
