Well I think FNAF2 has the best animatronic designs.
Not to forget all the awesome minigames
Well I think FNAF2 has the best animatronic designs.
I think all 3 have the best looking designs simply because scott is goddamn amazing and making them look good. It took him, what, 2 or 3 months to model all the characters in fnaf2 yet there are 11 or so of them and they all look really damn good and full of detail.
I wonder if some of them were possibly left over from other projects now that you mention the time frame
I wanted to point something out concerning Purple Guy and also a little theory of my own. [sp]In one of the minigames you play as Shadow/Purple Bonnie alongside Spring Freddy and Bonnie. Here's what I think; what if Purple Guy has been around since the beginning? What if he was a co-creator of the original animatronics, at least conceptually? To better explain it, maybe Purple Guy came up with his own suit idea, the shadow bonnie, which didn't look very good or appealing to children, yet the original diner owner's animatronic/suit idea was better accepted. Maybe, the Jealousy and feeling of defeat impacted purple guy to the point that, during the 2nd game, he finally snapped after seeing how well received the suits and characters he didn't design are accepted. So, to shame the restaurant and the suits/characters he's so jealous of, he murders a bunch of children wearing the very suit he hates. Maybe the person that was arrested instead of Purple Guy was the original creator of the Spring Suits, as he would have the knowledge of getting in them and stuff, but Purple Guy, who clearly dies via Springtrap, never paid attention to the warnings behind the spring suits, as he hated them, and only dared step into the Freddy suit to kill children. Basically, this would explain his motive and signs of insanity; it's all a personal feud against the establishment and animatronics/characters themselves. This is why he came back to the restaurant and destroyed the suits, because he was still bitter about the whole thing, and figured he could finally "rest" once the suits were destroyed. However, unknown to him, the Puppet's background work with the children ghosts were a surprise to him, and, in that moment of vulnerability, hid in the springtrap suit and died.[/sp]
[sp]That's a very interesting idea. I've been wondering about the place that made the animatronics in the first place, including how they were able to make such advanced machines (a point that has been raised by others). Scott doesn't seem to have given us much to work with in that regard. Further, if "[they] have a place for him", and "[he] remain[s]", maybe that could be a reference to him working at the firm.[/sp]
So its the 10th and nothing happened, anyone find out what the 10 meant on the BB teaser?
There is more black strike outs on these posts than an official CIA document, geez.
Pft, this thread is nothing. You should have seen the Bioshock thread when Bioshock Infinite was on release day.
Ima just use what was said when i made the cia joke
I still wonder if there will be a better Springtrap model than.... these. do people use references when they model these things

According to the creators the trailer was only the reference to springtrap. The second one looks alright, but the arms are horrible.
I still wonder if there will be a better Springtrap model than.... these.
The biggest issue with springtrap is the insaaane amount of detail scott put into him, thus making it pretty difficult to make him without going waaay overboard on your polycount limit...
Speaking of FNAF3 models, wouldn't they be re-skins to an extent? I know they have a few differences I.E BB's teeth are caved in. And all that stuff.
The biggest issue with springtrap is the insaaane amount of detail scott put into him, thus making it pretty difficult to make him without going waaay overboard on your polycount limit...
I wonder if adding some things as a bodygroup such as the [sp]purple guy corpse[/sp] or something like that would lower the polycount down.
Completely unrelated to the current discussion, but what was the music used in FNAF 2's trailer?

I've never seen Foxy's tail anywhere, but maybe that's because the darn kiddies tore it off?

Plot holes though, a person can't fit into a shell with an endoskeleton inside and an endoskeleton can't fit into a shell with a person inside.
Hey do you guys think that maybe [sp]Foxy saw the 1st child's murder? In FN@F2, the animatronics were not yet possessed yet, but they started acting funny as soon as the first child was killed. Maybe, Foxy and the Puppet witnesses it through a window, and this is why they are hell bent on killing you, even with the mask on? Especially with the whole the original anims were retrofitted with the face recognition tech, and maybe the guy you play as vaguely resembled Purple guy? It's a long shot of course, but Purple Guy being recognized by the Anims as a criminal means he would have committed a crime in the past, and it's never stated that the criminal database is for pedos/child murderers, but criminals in general. As for the specified crime in general, what if it was property damage, or some kind of crime related to the phone calls of FN@F3? Mentioning a suit was moved, ect, plus my theory on Purple Guy being an original employee who helped kickstart the franchise, but growing jealous soon afterwards. Obviously, Foxy and Puppet have the face memorized, but the other animatronics probably only know that, hey, it was a security guard. So something tells me game 2's security guard has a chin cleft, like Purple guy. With the mask on, it only seems to cover above the mouth, right? SO THE CLEFT IS STILL VISIBLE. Taking into account that Phone Guy mentions the mask not fooling Puppet and Foxy is because the previous guard was most likely Purple Guy, right? Also coupled with the fact they also know it was a security guard. With these two big pieces, Foxy and Puppet have more than enough motive to be going after the security guard of the night. With the mask off, the most defining feature of our guy's face is still most likely the cleft. [/sp] I've been going through previous phone calls from the games and the articles/images from each one in turn, and I feel like the pieces are coming together somehow. I love the lore behind the game, so I want to see the beginning, middle, and end. Bravo to Scott, even though I bet he'll never come out and write out the entire series on paper/the internet.

The very first establishment? The reason for this is that the minigame takes place in a very small building with no other rooms other than the main one where the kids were at, and there was only one electronic, being Fredbear, theorized to be Golden Freddy in his better days. The child that was murdered at that moment is said to be the puppet, but the puppet is no where to be seen in FNAF1 so who the hell knows anymore.[/sp]
