christ, i remember when freddy's was a small insignificant blip on the radar, barely visible.
Fish caught on, which attracted bigger ones, and so on. They would inform and spread. and soon, facepunch and 4chan absolutely exploded with it- bogging down FP itself acctually.
I remember the moments when we first saw stickfox, crisis, such paragons of the community in their earliest steps.
We exploded in a short time. This is a ridiculous success.
And yet, I will never play the games, The content makers alone suffice. And it's unique qualities. I appreciate it what is is, but horror games just aren't my business.
So, cheers.

Horror just isn't my flavor of game.
That being said, I respect FNAF for it's originality and fresh concept.

Disney has no 2D films in development. They're experimenting with the Paperman engine as a replacement for 2D since Winnie the Pooh failed.

People who are fascinated with a game's story and characters are no less fans than people who played the game through without absorbing anything other than surface-level stuff.
They are different kinds of appreciation. The most committed fans are ones who invest themselves in both the gameplay and non-gameplay content that a game series has to offer. But that doesn't devalue those who don't explore the other facets that the game and it's world can offer.
Look at Touhou, there are shittons of people who don't play the games, but there's more community-made content than you can swing a stick at.

I have only built up the courage to play to night 3 of FNAF 1. (Freddy keeps sneaking in and killing me)
Judge not those that are spooked enough by the playthroughs and the lore.
Oh no, i'm aware of most things going on, found great intrest in them. I'm not just skimming the top of the milk here, I do my research.
That being said, I still likely won't play the games. Might take a passing glance or some minor intrest in it if it somehow crops up on TV.

I remember that, according to some people, ratings should be always ignored at all costs, but this case is rather unusual, so I still wonder:
Why, out of all game threads, this one has so many "dumb" ratings that "dumb" is now depicted as the FNaF thread's "main" one? Little to no other discussions have the same case.
I don't see any stupid/offensive/frowned-upon things in the opening post, and the thread itself doesn't (and hopefully won't) have overheated discussions, outlawed content or overabundance of non-Freddy-Fazbear's-Pizzeria-related topics.

Now Toy Freddy looks like a mysterious, powerful, cigar-smoking gang boss who is shrouded in shadows (and cigar smoke).
On the personal note, it's sad that the Toy animatronics (especially Toy Freddy) didn't take much action in FNAF3. Most animatronics (including Mangle and Golden Freddy) appeared as hallucinations; Bonnie had Springtrap as his counterpart; Toy Chica was in the "Chica's Party" minigame; Toy Bonnie had "Shadow Bonnie" counterpart who appeared in the Office and the "Glitch" minigame, and, in addition, not only Toy Bonnie's head was found, but his hand and guitar as well.
And only Toy Freddy (who was the face of the restaurant once!) doesn't do anything. Even his remaining head is barely seen.
