Since the teaser says "nightmare" I think it might be just that. Some kid having a nightmare about Freddy. Once you beat night 5/6 its gonna show them waking up and do the whole "it was just a dream" thing.

I'll take a stab at what it could be about.
[sp]You play as the buyer of a bunch of Freddy Fazbear goods, including the burnt remains of the Springtrap suit. Possessed by Purple man still, and angrier than ever, he now assimilates the Freddy Fazbear goods into himself to "repair" his destroyed body, and his evil soul twists the machine into a horrible demonic form, and it is your job to finally stop him, maybe helped by previous protagonists via phone messages, or a private eye/cop relaying information to you concerning the Purple guy's origins and tactics that could now work against him. Obviously, the new location would either be a museum, or some rich guy's home.[/sp]

I'm hoping with this fourth installment that Scott will make some really neat animations, I want to see more like the glimpses we got in the third game.

My theory, due to the comma, is that this is a part of a larger message. Time will tell.
Mostly put it through a second time because I was curious what the question marks were.
Oh I get it now, "Nightmare Freddy" is sewed together... a lot.
I got two theories for this one, really. Since [sp]the children already passed on, I get the feeling 'Nightmare' is either the Killer's ghost still left behind (the more obvious answer), or the mysterious disappearing Golden/Shadow Freddy who may've been an extra spirit when we thought he was a hallucination or some sort of weird entity the entire time. With the 'nightmare' and the horrific amalgamation of multiple Freddies into one body, it seems more like the last remnant of Freddy yet to move on - or the mother of all nightmares haunting one last poor son of a bitch involving the damn thing.[/sp]
I think my personal title will be Freddies Dead: The Final Night.
