What has me really excited about this is the thought of not dealing with gmod's extremely long server connection times.

I could only ever play Minigolf in it's beta, when it was released to the public I would either take like 15 minutes to load (in which time the game's almost over), or it would just never load, this happened with the other game worlds too (usually i would connect into ball race on the second level).
UCH was probably my most played gamemode on GM Tower, glad to see it is back. I think the knights and the dragon look really cute.
I'm excited for UCH without the horribly awkward hitboxes and server lag.
This looks fucking great, I want it.
Don't like that alpha access is a backing bonus though.

wait is this going to cost anything when it's released?

Fifteen dollars on Steam.
Alpha access through backing is a great incentive for more people to back the project.

Balls to that then.
Regarding the outcomes of the Gemstones - were these features that were always going to be in the first early access build once the game reached full funding (that had recently been segmented into smaller milestones to give people a better idea of what their money was going towards), or are these features that were reserved to be in future builds that instead are going to appear in the launch of the early access build?

Sounds like extra features to be expected by the FINAL build
Who knows what order or if a little of everything will be made at the same time

More budget = comfortability and lack of guilt when spending time making smaller extra features

Oh, gotcha. That makes sense too.
Some of them were already planned, but they're not going to be implemented right away. You'll see them by early access
Balls to that then.
lol you're kidding right?
Does the 4-pack come with alpha access?
Does the 4-pack come with alpha access?
Yes. It says, "Everything from ENTHUSIAST + three additional digital copies of the game for your friends! Includes four Steam keys and four closed beta access keys. Save $10 off the retail price!"
Or maybe not? I just read that they typed Beta instead of Alpha. I'm guessing it's a typo.
Actually, pretty sure it's a typo. They have this as the image for the reward:

Yeah! How dare they make any money off their hard work!

I don't see what's wrong with using a donation system like gmod tower.
Donate to get some fancy stuff that shows everyone else how cool you are for supporting the developers while the main game is open for everyone to enjoy.

do you own gmod? remember when it was a free mod?
Congratulations guys on funding it (slightly early but its about 490 away)

They are making everything themselves from the ground up. They are developing a FULL GAME. This isn't just some fancy mod anymore. They need more money than a donation system would give them.
Not to mention they have to make money for more than just the game. They need money in order to live. You know. Food, shelter, various bills. That kind of thing. They don't exactly live with their parents.

Wouldn't that count as a microtransaction, though? Free game, pay to get shit, that'd basically make this Free To Play.
Just passed $50k, grats guys looking forward to this when it's released.
What's the general estimate on time between different builds?
Can't wait for a server browser
rip. Wanted to get closed alpha but all I have is a £20 Steam Giftcard. No Closed alpha for steam :( Anyone feel like backing https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tower-unite/contributions/new/#/contribute?perk_amt=20&perk_id=3002585 then trading for a £15 game on steam :v:

The portraits add so much fun if you're with a friend.
Even with random people it can be fun.

Pretty sure one of them made it as a gif with a greenscreen separate, so they probably just keyed out the green themselves from the gif.
