I'm gonna keep an eye on this. Can't say I played much of Gmod Tower but this looks pretty cool. Will there be custom gamemodes supported by the Workshop? Dunno if that has been asked/answered yet.
I want to donate $60 but I won't be able to get the extra 3 keys in the $50 package, that's pretty weak and I don't get the reasoning for this since the only extra gimmick is a watch. What gives?

looks like they are about to hit 60k meaning their first stretch goal.
I cannot wait to see what the next stretch goal for us to not reach will be.
is there an ETA for the alpha to be on steam? [sp] sorry if I've missed it [/sp] [editline]7th August 2015[/editline] Damn nice pageking
Anyone else having the Alpha crash on them a couple of minutes after launching? Sorry if I should be asking on the forums, this is a bit quicker.

We also announced the next two stretch goals
65 sounds like something really small that you're already going to add
65 sounds like something really small that you're already going to add
The stretch goals are only there to guarantee that the content will be there by the time it publicly releases on Steam Early Access. They very well may add this down the line if the stretch goal is not met.
I was never a fan of stretch goals, always felt like scope creep.
I was never a fan of stretch goals, always felt like scope creep.
Knowing pixel tail, they are things that would happen anyway sometime on development. As future versions release, new features would be produced to make it a higher, more enjoyable experience than gmod tower. If anything, it is key to not concept ideas thst would lead to rushrd work or poor scheduling. Closer you hit the estimated timeline, the more the customers would believe in the product (unlike a lot of starbound's backers)
I was never a fan of stretch goals, always felt like scope creep.
The gems were features we always were gonna add when we reached that amount; they were a great way to announce features that we had in our plans to the public and show them where exactly the money will go towards. Stretch goals are features that we've planned for in the past, but the extra money actually allows us to make it. The lobby is ever expanding, so you will continue to see features like that be announced after the core of the game is developed.
Some highlights of our developments this week: http://forums.pixeltailgames.com/t/arcade-developments/1642
In our last stream, Zak showed off our cool new arcade API. Using Lua and OpenGL, Zak made it so we can create custom 2D arcade games. We're hoping to put this on Steam Workshop as well so people can make their own 2D arcade games for Tower Unite! I've been working on a new arcade machine model. I'm also making sure it'll be really easy to skin for other people. Here's the progress so far!

[vid]http://foohy.pixeltailgames.com/dev%20videos/i%20like%20the%20night%20life%20baby.webm[/vid] yoYO. @Zak just finished doing some crazy sick optimizations for the arcade. (Such as sharing resources between OpenGL contexts, so even if you have like a billion arcades open it'll only load one instance of the asset into video memory). He also added a useful little diddle to get the average frame color, so I went and hooked that up to a dynamic light and it's p dang spiffy also its literally 7:30 am for him so he's a bit loopy in the video YEAH.
http://forums.pixeltailgames.com/t/an-audial-tour-of-the-plaza/1732/7
Make sure you wear headphones!! It won't work otherwise! Foohy and I have had our noses to the grindstone working out this KILLER soundscape and spatialization system. HRTF is an Oculus VR spatialization algorithm that mimics the way your brain perceives natural audio, similar to a binaural recording. Simply put, your brain perceives the direction a sound comes from by the tiny amount of time it takes for the sound to reach one ear, then the other. We hope to have an option to enable/disable HRTF in the in-game menu. IT'S SO FRIKKIN COOL AAAAAAAA **(You may hear some tiny stuttering, this is a bug with HRTF we still need to work out).

[t]http://www.mattyoungwi.com/i/2015-08-08_13-11-56.png[/t] Arcade Logo [t]http://www.mattyoungwi.com/i/2015-08-09_13-41-44.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/WYp2TYh.png[/t]
Will it be possible through workshop or otherwise to include flash games that were in Gmod Towers? Also, will an arcade cabinet be purchasable for our condos?
Finally got around to donating 30 bucks. Can I change my name on the backer plaque? I want to make sure that it's correct.
Finally got around to donating 30 bucks. Can I change my name on the backer plaque? I want to make sure that it's correct.
I think they will be emailing each backer asking what name they would like by the time the game publicly releases on Early Access.
[del]I've never done an indiegogo thing before, got the 20$ tier one. How do I get my stuff?[/del] Nevermind, just got an email for it. Cool.
The alpha key should be sent to you via the email you used to pledge by the end of the day, either today or tomorrow night. If you don't get it soon, you could try contacting them. The rest comes around March, I believe. ok nvm then
well, that happened [t]http://sharex.moe/i/2015/08/15-08-11_22-44-03.png[/t]
We only just hit 65k now someone donated 3k and we are almost at 70k :v: oh god

Unsure, but I'm trying to put together information? Would the next build be using a steam app? Like, I know it'll go into the early access program later next year, but I'm unsure if the movement now is to have it on steam by game key registration only, because it makes sense, and will be a lot easier for distribution builds out to players

$70K!
the next build will be the alpha but on steam (Suppose its easier to push out alpha updates that way) So like Alpha from now - 2016 till it launches on early access.
This is correct. We'll most likely be distributing Steam keys through a web app instead of email.
13 hours left! Tell your friends, as this is the last opportunity you'll have to get any in-game rewards.

We give an enormous thanks to the 2,051 backers who helped us raise a total of $73,633; that's 147% funded! Things we'd like to reiterate real quick: 1. Backer Rewards will ship on Early Access Release (NOT ALPHA.) Early Access will occur in mid 2016, which you'll see your digital items (i.e. watch, trophy, etc.) then. They'll be redeemed in-game. We'll send an email detailing this later. If you're a contributor of our higher tiers, we'll be sending out emails to obtain information for your custom rewards as late as January 2016 (i.e. names for bricks, custom voices, etc.) 2. We're on STEAM! Holy smokes, We're on STEAM! We finally finished up our paperwork, and we've just received access to Steamworks. What does this mean exactly? The closed alpha (backer reward) is going to be migrated to Steam. This makes it much easier to distribute updates, and we now have access to all of Valve's neat APIs. We'll be running the alpha up until the Early Access release. If you are a backer who has the closed alpha in their tier, we'll send info to the corresponding email you contributed with when the time comes. However, we do not have a set date for the Steam Alpha yet. More information on that will come shortly. If you'd like to stay up to date, head over to our forums, where we'll be posting the latest information. 3. We love you. We've said it a million times, we'll say it again. THANK YOU SO MUCH. We keep pinching ourselves to make sure this isn't a dream, but it's actually real. You brought us to where we are, and we cannot thank you enough for this opportunity. We are so excited to bring the game to you, and we can't wait to see where we go in the future. Thank you.
