"Guys, the thermal drill. Go get it. Once it's in place, we can worry about opening that vault. But first, you need to go get it. Also. Don't forget about keycards, and the bank manager. Keycards are always useful. They'll help you bypass some of the building security. Watch out for guards and cameras. When you're ready, start the timelock, and if the phone rings, you'll just have to patch me through, and I'll do the rest. I'll try to keep GenSec off your backs for as long as I can. But first, you need to go get that thermal drill. Remember about civilians, don't get careless, or this will go bad. If you kill too many civilians, it'll be almost impossible for me to trade you. By the way, the front entrance seems like the obvious way in, but they'll have a lot of security around. Maybe look for other ways in. If you take care of the operator, you won't have to worry about those cameras anymore. There's a back entrance, so lockpick away if you like it sneaky. If there are witnesses around, things might get loud. You'll probably need that thermal drill first though. It's quiet out there tonight. Keep it that way. Once you're inside that vault, don't forget about those deposit boxes, they might contain something worthwhile. But remember: gold is golden. You'll have to figure that out. I'm sure a clever crew like you can figure it out. I would have loved to have Genghis Khan on the team. Hmm, nice tech. But nothing I can't handle. There is no spoon. We are in the wrong line of work gentlemen. I've always wanted to be guard in a museum, if it wasn't for, you know, the whole robbery thing. Maybe we could go there for our next big score. On with our heist here. Guys, the thermal drill. Go get it. Did I ever tell you about my grandpa and his heisting days?"
Actually no Cook Off is much better for money now
so because it is an enemy you SHOULD be able to kill it?
Kinda yeah, the turret goes completely against the normal mentality of playing loud. If I wanted to be running and hiding, incapable of going through the majority of the map, with the bots being completely worthless, I'd play stealth. Then ECMs wouldn't be worthless either.

Heisters!
It’s no secret that not every heist succeeds. Many times, a part of the plan fails or just doesn’t go together as it should. Sometimes it’s the lack of foresight what dooms the team. Sometimes it’s minor slipups which make the plan fall apart in the greater scheme of things.
However, there’s one thing we’ve never accounted for.
It’s the team. Namely, the size of it.
Bain has reached out to some of the Crime.net contractors - Vlad, The Butcher and The Dentist - to provide assistance in this scheme.
Now, what is this scheme?; you might ask.
We are proud to announce the Accomplice Update for Crime.net.
Each of the mentioned contractors have provided us with means of contact to some valuable individuals, each skilled in their own field. You will be able to rent them for certain heists. Every accomplice has their own set of skills and equipment. Which also means they have their price. And they won’t hesitate to name it.
Who we won’t hesitate to name, however, are the accomplices themselves;
Vlad’s Accomplices:
-Viktor - the Driver - What he lacks in driving skills, he makes up in price. His cut is relatively small.
-Mikhail - the Sniper - Plain and simple, he gets the job done. His cut is fair enough to be a good addition to the team.
-Leonid - the Pilot - Unlike Vlad’s cousin you had the pleasure of meeting in the “White Xmas” operation, Leonid is actually a very competent pilot. He demands a fairly big cut.
The Dentist’s Accomplices:
-Ryan - the Driver - Doesn’t talk much but he’s probably the best driver out there. He’s probably only in it for the money. Big money.
-Dent - the Sniper - Sure to put a dent (get it?) in the cops’ skulls. Quite skilled in his profession and does not charge too much for his services.
-Rob - the Pilot - Quite good at what he does - and what he does is he pilots planes and helicopters. His cut is appropriate for his work.
The Butcher’s Accomplices:
-Marko - the Driver - He's got quite a history with evading the police pursuits back in Croatia. He does not demand too much.
-Goran - the Sniper - Probably the best sniper you can get; however, he’s quite a slow shot. Demands a high cut - high job quality equals high cash quantity.
-Petar - the Pilot - In case you do not trust Bile enough (shame!), you can always invest in Petar, who's slightly better but still not perfect.
Bain’s Accomplices:
-Twitch - the Driver - the regular driver employed by the crew. Does not demand a cut, as he’s already paid by Bain individually.
-Iliya - the Sniper - An old friend of the Payday gang. Skilled and accurate, albeit he takes a few seconds to line up the shot. Demands a low cut for his work.
-Bile - the Pilot - the regular pilot employed by the crew. Does not demand a cut, as he’s already paid by Bain individually.

Update 78 Patchnotes:
Update size: 420.69 MB
CRIME.NET
-Reworked the Pre-planning feature.
-Added Accomplices - named characters which will assist the player in heists. Each Accomplice will demand a cut of the money heisted in total, expressed in percentage.
-Added an e-mail message from Bain, which displays upon launching Crime.net for the first time after the update.
ACCOMPLICES:
-Added values for new Accomplices:
--Viktor reduces the Escape Stage chance by 15 percentage points and demands a 5% cut.
--Dent has a 82% firing accuracy, 10 second wind-up time and demands a 8% cut.
--Petar reduces the Escape Stage chance by 15 percentage points and demands a 5% cut.
--Marko reduces the Escape Stage chance by 25 percentage points and demands a 14% cut.
--Mikhail has a 90% firing accuracy, 12 second wind-up time and demands a 10% cut.
--Rob reduces the Escape Stage chance by 25 percentage points and demands a 14% cut.
--Ryan completely negates the Escape Stage chance, arrives at the scene 50% faster (if not stationary during the heist) and demands a 22% cut. He cannot be picked in two consecutive stages.
--Goran has a 100% firing accuracy, 20 second wind-up time, can one-shot any police unit (including Special units) and demands a 15% cut. He cannot be picked in two consecutive stages.
--Leonid completely negates the Escape Stage chance, arrives at the scene 30% faster and demands a 22% cut. He cannot be picked in two consecutive stages.
-Repurposed and readjusted the returning Accomplices’ skills:
--Twitch is now a regular driver; he does not reduce the Escape Stage chance and does not demand a cut.
--Iliya has a 75% firing accuracy, 8 second wind-up time and demands a 4% cut.
--Bile is now a regular pilot; he does not reduce the Escape Stage chance and does not demand a cut.
-If a Driver or a Pilot Accomplice is injured during the mission (i.e. an Escape Stage is activated), the following Accomplice’s cut is not deduced from the heist’s reward, but the Accomplice becomes unavailable for the next three days (heist stages).
GAMEPLAY:
-Added Helicopter Escape to the pre-planning feature of a select few heists.
-Added new Escape stages, where the crashed van is substituted by a crashlanded helicopter.
-Raised the chance of an escape happening at the end of a day:
--If the players escape during an assault wave, the chance of an escape happening is 80%.
--If the players escape between assault waves, the chance of an escape happening is 55%.
This update is our attempt at refreshing the usual gameplay scheme. It is highly subjective to your feedback and the values may change depending on your opinions.
And remember; keep those helmets flying! ;)

[editline]not actually edited, this is just a fake excuse to add something like an editor's note :V[/editline]
Apologies for this wall of text. Yes, this update is fake (this is the second time I write a fake update and post it here :v: ), but I was very bored and I wanted to share an idea I've had on my head for a very long time. GTA V did heist setups spectacularly good and in a way that actually makes the player's decisions feel important - the inspiration is fairly visible here.

Isn't the Dentist like a dead contact now?
Ya know since we already "fulfilled our contract " with him.
Also you forgot to include Alex on the Bain accomplice list.

I thought Alex was Bile except with a bad microphone. Or that Alex died/disappeared somewhere between some heists. The last we hear of him is Big Oil D2 after all.

Cook Off is barely playable on public servers
Damn, i got fooled hard.
On Hoxout day 2 do y'all save the cards for doors or objectives? I usually have shaped charges tho

Nah, we don't see much of him because Bain thinks he's a idiot. He's always dissing him because of he's fuckups.
Be it on Big Oil or during the Panic Room heist on Pd:Th
On Hoxout day 2 do y'all save the cards for doors or objectives? I usually have shaped charges tho
I usually save one for the last door and spend the other one on main room doors and 2nd floor access

alex is a different person than bile, the difference between them is that alex is more of a faggot, douchebag, he probably got sad in how we treat him and left and now he became the new gensec enemy, drives his helicopter and instead of throwing misplaced ammo bags he throws grenades :v:
Yes, this update is fake :v:
I would actually really love this, it would spice up preplanning/gameplay a bit, that Driver reference is awesome too even tho the Dentist's contract is over.

I kinda feel like what people said about the heists basically rewinding the timeline whenever you do them is true, and that's why even though [sp]Hector is dead[/sp] we can still do his contracts, same with Dentist
[editline]20th September 2015[/editline]
So having Dentist have accomplices can still work

and the side jobs actually support this too.
This PRO ADVICE is coming from someone who hasn't finished most loud-exclusive heists on Death Wish.
Please go away
Okay, from someone who regularly plays DW and has all achievements, ECMs are sorely underestimated and in a well-balanced team it can make heists tremendously more easy. I once bought ECMs to a DW FF loud and had no downs most kills on day 3, and on maps like GO Bank it turns turrets into the most OP force in the game. On maps like Cook Off you can pause assaults and move bags at practically any point.
[editline]20th September 2015[/editline]
If there's anything wrong with turrets, it's how it sucks challenge from the game when you actually have a well built team and you bring ECMs. This game is already pathetically easy, it doesn't need to be easier. So on Deathwish you lose like, what, ten seconds working around the SWAT turret without ECMs, but you kill the entire assault when you do have them. The amount of challenge they add is too small to justify their existence as a tradeoff of not bringing ECMs.
the only map I have problems (as in it's just not fun and I have to deal with them) with the turrets is election day day 2A loud
those like, 6 snipers that are constantly up were bad enough. their respawn rates were worse. THE FACT THAT THEY CAN SHOOT THROUGH THEIR WALL COVER is terrible. THE FACT THAT ALL OF THAT CAN HAPPEN BUT AT THE ESCAPE ZONE IS BULLSHIT.
couple that with the turrets and it's now the only map I will demand someone bring at least one ECM to if we're not taking out at least one.
that map has a lot of problems, really
Stupid question about ecms and swat vans (as you can clearly tell I don't play stealth/spec into ghost) So with a basic ecm, no skills apart from one point unlocking ghost tree, can that ecm convert a turret for you? If so, how long? If you were to ace all possible ecm skills how long could you effectively convert a turret for before the ecm runs out?

I think the ECM affects the turret no matter the skills, for as long as the ECM is active. So with the relative skills, one ECM could convert it for 30 seconds max.

anyway do you guys think we will be able to ride goats in the goat simulator crossover?

This is purely speculation, but I figure the real reason why they dropped Alex is because Ulf Andersson (Wolf) also voiced him, and he fucked up his vocal chords screaming for Wolf
This game could do with dynamic escape zones. Like, if the escape vehicle is past 18 snipers and 3 SWAT vans, you could radio the driver to move somewhere else.
You ever have one of those games where everything just fucks you up?
Try joining Rats, get tased, lose all my mag because Kriss Vector. Run into bathroom to reload and let armour regen, shield walks in and stands in the doorway, pinning me in place. Can't use a grenade because he's too close to me, don't have any piercing weapons, can't manoeuvre and shoot him from behind because it's a tiny bathroom. Get downed, teammate inspires me up and shoots the shield, run out of bathroom, suddenly blackdozer right in my face, downed again.
And this is all in the space of less than a minute.
So, to get ready for the PDTH port, I went and played a bit of good old PDTH.
I know I'm late as hell for this, but I had no idea Simon Viklund was a civilian in it.

Does anyone else find Counterstrike or whatever it's called to be a really good skill for hosts? As a host, Cloakers down you pretty much instantly and in DW you can't even reaction fire kill them due to the insane damage thresholds, so I find CS to be a really helpful tool to keep things flowing without having to worry about Cloakers.
It also lets me fight up to 3 Cloakers at once. It's not a very common thing, but I was doing Art Gallery loud DW and in the parking lot I had to fend off 3 cloakers while the bots revived my bud. Really tense, really fun.

I would use counter-strike a lot more it didn't cost so many fucking points to allow me to counter Cloaker kicks.
on another note: Does anyone know why does Overkill always leave major updates for thursday? They never ever leave for other days like other companies companies. Not to mention is kind of a odd day of the week considering Friday is a better day for doing this sort of stuff.
