New enemy looks pretty cool, really happy we're having a new free update that looks pretty good.

i can't wait for the new enemy to be literally batman, except with all of the additions of silly and overpowered dlc weapons in the past couple of months making him a complete joke to defeat.
New enemy is all the specials combined. Has the shield, ability to tase or down players instantly, uses laser guided guns to one shot players, and has the HP of a skulldozer.

The captain winters guy looks pretty boring really. I thought the new enemy might be something crazy like one that shows up in stealth sections or something. Though I'm hopefull he will be more interesting in execution and mechanics. Overkill seem pretty good at that. The new inventory system looks pretty cool as well, though goddamn I bet that's gonna break a few mods. Also this may be looking into it too much but I saw whats-his-face coming up as a "nemesis" and I imagined if you could do sort of counter-missions against him like a reverse contracter. I pictured short optional missions that only go up for a limited time and are automatically pro to foil some investigation he has going against bain. A heist where shit is already going down rather than you causing everything would be fun. If you complete it then you get something like boosted exp/money/preplanning favors for the next couple of missions to show how bain has a bit more breathing room and if you fail to stop him you have a penalty instead to show bain is trèading more cautiously as the net closes in.
A friend of mine was thinking that this police effort to take down the Payday gang might result in them raiding our safehouse. Overkill did say we were finally getting that customization (suggesting it might become relevant again) and it's just about the time of year where the heisters start having nightmares about safehouse raids.
You'd think that the new FBI captain would be somewhat suspicious of the skulldozer bobblehead.

i ve been thinking about this for a while, what if the new enemy uses his shield to charge at the heisters knocking them off much like the charger in L4D?.

What if winters is only being hyped up as a cool looking but generic superhero because this is actually a big fake out? he gets cutscene murdered five minutes after meeting the gang before the real gensec enemy turns up.

Unrelated to the actual game but I'm finally chugging through Hotline Miami and just up to doing the epilogue missions before moving onto the second. It's nice to have some context somewhat on Jacket at the very least (even if his Payday counterpart is obviously not canon).
