I hope for this coming Crimefest Overkill actually know what the rewards are instead of just naming them and then spending a year deciding.
I wish the FBI files were in-game, rather than being a separate website. And as others mentioned, this doesn't bring anything new apart from player stats. I have yet to see Captain Halfass in action. I did 3 heists where I purposely waited for him to spawn but nothing happened. Does he only appears on specific heists/difficulties ?

Damn, Winters is really bad. Well, time for Crimefest.
The enemy himself is boring, but what he does is interesting. A non-stop assault, but the kicker is that he tends to camp rather far away. Let's say you're playing Deathwish Big Bank. Normally you'd be a bit campy once you got the drill, the idea being that you wait out the assault and move during fade and anticipate. With this guy? If you're too campy, then it's an endless assault. So you either gotta take pains to not be too campy to begin with so you can preempt him and fall back when he is defeated, you just deal with a never-ending assault (which is difficult on Deathwish), or you gotta mount a counter-assault in the middle of the assault, fight your way all the way to the front of the bank while facing legions of enemies, and face Winters while you and your team are greatly weakened. So something forcing you to play more dangerously in order to make the game easier is an interesting concept, especially after the Perk Deck update where camping became easier than ever.

A little bit underwhelmed from what I've gathered so far. But first the pros: -Cinematic. It's awesome. -New Inventory. Looks so much cleaner than before. Very nice to dive in. -Look of the FBI files. I like it. Now for the Cons: -Winters seems very hastily put together and doesn't even require much more than explosives and fire. He'd be more interesting if he had some sort of temporary AoE Tazer effect if you get too close. Or let him use small armed drones. Just hiddling in a corner and calling more cops doesn't improve the game. -FBI-files could've used a bit more info. I want to say on a fairly optimistic level that this is just the ground work. Hopefully there will be more to come. All in all this progression provides a lot of potential. Please use it, Overkill.

All units on the map receive a 50% damage reduction until Winters dies. So he effectively doubles all breakpoints.
Anyone think Winters' shield looks really goofy?

Fucking lmao we had a bug in alesso where no cops spawned until we killed Captain's turtle army.
Is it just me or winters doesn't actually make the assault wave neverending? It just seems like it gets stuck in the fade phase and cops barely even spawn as long as he's alive, we had like 3 cops spawn per minute on DW alesso until we killed him.

Either Winters kept assault going properly, or he simply made it so that fade never ended. If it's the former, the game got a lot harder because the pressure would never let up. If it's the latter, and fade never ends, (fade is the part of the assault towards the end where enemies stop spawning, meaning pressure eases up), that means the game got a whole lot easier because you could just not kill his phalanx and ignore him, like you would a SWAT turret, and no enemies would ever spawn anymore.

So unless I missed a second tweet saying the same thing I guess we can assume the voiceline-heavy unit was canned.
I would have expected Winters to actually lead the battle, not cower with his buddies at a distance.

Do you want to be Captain Winters? Do you want to at least sound like him? Do you want to annoy teammates by making them think he spawned? Have some Captain Winters Voice IDs. cpa_a02_01 - "And now we have our captain!"
