Man that shield looks [I]really heavy[/I], I'm impressed winters can keep it upright so effortlessly. Like damn that thing looks like it could take out a small car if you dropped it and he lugs it around one handed.
Winters would have been more interesting without the shield phalanx and shield. He could have been a lightning speed runner like the cloaker that runs about the area giving buffs to units until he's dead or forced to flee. Maybe they could have given him a grenade launcher that launches different varieties of grenades for varying situations like artillery shots. Giving him a shield and shield buddies in a static position was lame.
There were so many ways they could have made Winters interesting. The most sour part about is they took the good ideas that were floating around, like making him give passive buffs to law enforcement among other effects, but they half-assed and just made him a variation of an existing unit and not something entirely new like a special unit should be.
Can't say I'm too disappointed. At least we didn't get a fucking dog.

The damage resistance buff for Winters starts at 10% and increases by .5% every 5 seconds to a max of 50% resistance. Of course I doubt you'll be able to take him out quick enough before it raises to 50%.
Does the buff apply to he and his men?

My friends and I went through Winter's like childs play at deathwish, Piglets, with fire and a Rocket launcher. Boom, he didnt even last a second.

the changes he makes to assault and teamplay are fun -- would suck to fight if no one on your team had DLC of any kind

Honestly what were we expecting in that regard? Not much else it would've been, also has nice flavour text for the various units and heists.
Winters could easily be changed from his current state into something much more fun, keep his bigass sheild, cut down the phalanxes and his insane HP he gets and, get this, have him move around the map, not attack the hiesters but have him stay mobile. Have it so he can co-op regular sheild into his Phalanx or have new ones move in to assist him later once the initial few are dead.
Working with what he is now he could EASILY be made more fun.
Nothing that a little fire can't solve thought.
To be honest I'm kinda glad that there are mores excuses than ever now to bring fire-based weapons to heists. Dozers, Vans, Shields and Winters.
One by one they bite the dust as I just burn their corpses down.

Looks like they're dropping a few hints in the FBI files. AI adjustments, Gage betraying the gang, the Dentist's true nature, and other things are being hinted at in here.

It's actually not a terrible thing. In fact, I think it's the best addition to Payday 2 in months. It's a cool little in game wiki with helpful, complete information, and the PD2Stats copy actually functions, although this should have been in game. It's something that actually adds to the heist, crime theme, something that most new content, like fucking Ninja packs, western packs, chivalry packs, all this dumb bullshit doesn't. This [I]adds[/I] to the game. It [I]belongs[/I] here. It's the first addition update in a long time that I can say belongs in the game.
My problem with it is that this did not need a fucking year to develop. After spending a year at the drawing board, this was all they could create, and that's [I]seriously[/I] underwhelming.
Long story short if you promise me an excellent meal and continue promising it to me for a year and it turns out to be a graham cracker I still like graham crackers but don't expect me to not be disappointed at how underwhelming it is

Yes and no. It should be integrated in the game better, but also a much more simplified version should be on a webpage. Shouldn't have to log in to the game to read stats.

On this note, I've never really looked but are the characters different heights in-game? It's be a nice detail and wouldn't even require the hit-boxes to be changed.
I'm pretty sure they're all the same height, except for when you're in first person and everyone else is a foot taller than you.
Also, it's extremely disappointing that none of the gang and not even Bain give a shit about Winters. He looked so frightening in the trailer, but in the game characters think that he's a SWAT Turret and Bain does not acknowledge him at all.

maybe it's because I saw him before I saw the trailer but he does not look intimidating
that whole thing where they add a way too long pause before showing his face just made me like "...and who the fuck is this guy :v:"
