i think i know the hint behind this net, maybe its the SLAUGHTERHOUSE trap?
though less likely to happen, most likely CATCH UNWANTED CRIMINALS could refer to hackers just like happyhead said.
If that anticheat thing just hide cheaters lobby, then it's okay to me. If it ban them forever from online, then fuck this.

We can't fail crimefest with this
Oh god if they're finally adding in the terrible troll-face masks from Payday 1..:hiddendowns:
I feel like I'm the only one who's frequently begged for this here and I've never seen it elsewhere. Is this my fault?
I just think they're fucking hilarious ironically, as they're so obnoxious looking. I kinda hope they barely even touch up the quality
Wished there was more giveaway of that paydaycon mask,it look nice
Well, Overkill renamed the image to "crimefest-unlock-tier2-letroll.png"
That must mean it's a pack with the other 3 and not just troll face right?

Oh yeah, here's the sound ID's for that 'xeno' thing:
Definitely a new gun.
Oh yeah I forgot. This is definitely what the face hugger reference is, a pulse rifle. Wonder if it'll have underslung grenade launcher too
Clover's first challenge was completed. Crime.net upgrades. That's neat.
I think it'd be really cool if, when it comes time for the Cagliostro mystery to be solved, its a heist that involves Bain in person. Given his obsession with it, I'd imagine he'd have a hard time resisting basically his biggest goal in life and just letting his crew get to enjoy it without him. It'd be a great way to end the arc of Payday 2 as well. The gang solves the mystery, they all hop in the [del]mystery machine[/del] escape van, then something happens with them getting caught by Commissioner Gordon and Bain, not being a fighter like the rest of the crew, ends up being "killed" (captured), providing some set up for Payday 3.

Could be nice but there's support for one more year, and still so much stuff to do for payday 2
Could be nice but there's support for one more year, and still so much stuff to do for payday 2
I didn't say right now, did I? This is just a piece of the mystery, and basically the first piece really since launch.

:mystery:
All the voice actors & physical actors seem like really cool dudes, it's a shame this whole fuckup with the Twitter shit happened.
If the alien thing means futuristic weapons, then thank god. Fuck all that weird historic western pack stuff, the only thing that actually made sense from it all was the Nagant.

Are you saying space guns make more sense than vintage guns?
I wish there was more incentive for infamy. I know there was the idea of adding more stats to infamy levels, but I'd also love the idea of infamy locked weapons you can get for free.
Things of stupid caliber like the RPG and flamethrower, except with silly side-effects and gimmicky-ness.
I had the idea of the last infamy 25 unlock being the golden gun, 1 shot and you cannot replenish the ammo for it, but you can kill any enemy you want in one hit, whether it be winters or an armored turret. Then you have to rely on your secondary for most of the time.
Another idea I had was a revolver unlock that does less damage than the other revolvers, but the bullets can rebound off walls, and on the bounce it does bonus damage. Shit like that.
They would also have silly particle effects and noises just to add to the "this is a special weapon" sort of motif. Nothing overpowered compared to current weapons, but if you are skilled with the weapon, you can change the game.

I always had the idea that on the second infamy of a certain skill tree you would unlock a unique weapon that pertained to that skill tree, such as a Pancor Jackhammer for the Enforcer and a Smith & Wesson Model 500 for the Mastermind
Guys its a fucking fishing net get hyped
[editline]vintage meme[/editline]
Anti cheat probably
I hope not, but only because a functioning anti-cheat was not a thing we should've had to unlock.

Call it the Shalashaska and call it a day.
Infamy unlock guns sounds like a good idea, actually. I would be behind that.

SpeedRunners is having a free weekend. Which means that you can get the crossover masks now if you download the game.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/207140/
No idea if it will go away once the weekend is over though.
[EAT CAPTAIN TO END ASS]
When's FG42.
I'm all for infamy power creeps with skill point reduction, but infamy restricted weapons? Let's not
All I want from crimefest is the ability to change my character in the preheist lobby
But I know I won't get it
I thought the incentive to Infamy was so you could feel the joy of numbers going up again
Am i the only one who Infamies just for the sake of having a purpose to level

Also, being able to change your skill set/perk deck in the said lobby.
There's nothing more frustrating than buying a DW Shadow Raid heist and realizing you forgot to switch from your loud to stealth build.

You can change your skillset in the preheist lobby. It's only when you get into the ready screen that you can no longer change skills.
Man, If we really get the m41 from alien, I hope this also means we get some badass under barrel attachments in one of the rewards.
Are you saying space guns make more sense than vintage guns?
Well, yeah, because we already have some futuristic shit in the game already. The sentry being one and a reference at the same time. Skulldozers are also hinted to have some drugs in there too.
I'm not saying pew pew ray guns, I'm saying original gun designs from Overkill that evoke the idea of future combat, like the Tavor or the new handgun's Russia's working on that look decently modern without being some way-out-there bullshit.
I just really don't have the patience for all this old shit and I doubt there's that big a market for it in Payday 2 compared to the more regular weapon packs. This might just be me though, for all I know you people love these old ass thingies.
I keep hearing how this game has a plot, but I just can't see it anywhere.
Where do you guys get this stuff?
