I have lots of fun with Meltdown because I, without fail, run a sniper proof build every single time I play it.
Also helps to get used to the rooves they spawn on and actively take them out while you're driving. Just pull little stops on each corner before the face-the-sniper turn and you're good.
Though I do wish there was a way to make a host-only driving mode, since playing with pubs that try and fail to do the car run is the most tedious thing ever.
Can we get the scary music to play in this thread.
Not gonna lie, a big reason why PD2 doesn't have that heist movie feel to it, is because of all the silly gimmick weapons. Like, there's not going to be any tension or drama when you have a guy brandishing a medieval axe and long bow. I know this complaint sounds like "uh, my immersion" but I really hope that when/if they do Payday 3, they won't go overboard with the silly stuff.
Why Overkill thought it was a better idea for the sequel to have useless fucking missions like Four Stores where you 'heist' a fucking 7-11 I have no clue.
I think it's because OVK wanted this game to have more of a "career" feel to it, like you're starting from the bottom, simple stuff like a jewelry store, maybe up the ante with a bank, and then eventually, move onto the big jobs, the professional stuff like Big Bank.
Or, perhaps, episodic like one person mentioned previously. Unfortunately this whole concept along with the "career" thing are kinda thrown out the window considering you can skip doing jewelry stores and jump straight into something like Firestarter. I really think Overkill needs to start pushing for a chronology, an underlying plot to Payday, more stuff like Hoxton Revenge. Like, each heist should flow into each other, somehow, make us feel like that last job we did actually had a purpose, I would absolutely love to know what happened to the stuff we stole for certain contractors, like why the Butcher needed a thermobaric bomb, just what is the purpose of the Dentist's Box, and well, so much more. Vlad exchanging dialogue with Bain during Meltdown is a wonderful example of this.
I really, really hope Overkill doesn't waste the potential of the FBI files.
I wanna know what's the deal with Sokol and Vlad sharing the same last name.

Overkill only know one Russian surname.
Yknow I think Sokol is young enough...
Maybe Vlad cucked dimitri at some point...
Perhaps that's why dimitri turned him in

"maybe he shagged his sister or something"
Vlad is Sokol's uncle, confirmed.

uh
it's still not unlocked
I don't think the Jacket Up challenge is going to get completed in time.
It's really just a bad idea from the start, in the first place gangsters only spawn in the following levels:
Big Oil day 1 (12 of them. If you're lucky there might be a few extra doing a drug deal.)
Rats (maybe half a dozen on days 1 and 3, lots on day 2 but fighting them is a pain in the butt)
Firestarter day 1 (Maybe a dozen of them)
Nightclub (Maybe half a dozen of them)
Hotline Miami (Maybe a dozen on day 1, a fair few on day 2 but the majority will get shot by cops before you can get in melee range)
Now, of these five levels (Out of 31 total) where you're even capable of advancing the challenge in the first place, only three are commonly played: Rats, Firestarter and Nightclub (Hotline Miami is a DLC and Big Oil sucks massive amounts of ass so they get played fairly uncommonly). And on top of that, unless you can convince the whole team to all use the baseball bat or not shoot the gangsters beforehand (When trying to get Payday 2 players to do something is like herding cats), they'll just get shot before you can even get in melee range.
And we're supposed to kill a million of them like this?
It'll be completed in time, but it'll take a week or two.
I am so very sorry for you.
everyone has their own taste in games, for me i prefer PDTH in terms of heists, but for gameplay its PD2.
Pretty sure that the final reward of the event will be Dead man's hand available in the OST
Boosting boots,
"You're not strangers to the news cameras. So when you're the 6pm criminal superstar, make sure you move with grace and elan."
Anyone have any idea?
I have absolutely no clue what that could be.

a day after its release, it's over a 10th of the way to completion
i'm pretty sure it'll finish

Meth-fuelled jetpacks?
I think that's something like parkour
that would be kind of ridiculous, but seriously what else could it be?
Boots customization v:v:v
oh and the wanker challenge is almost done
[editline]3rd October 2015[/editline]
or that boot thing could be some kind of cod-like exoskeleton we get for a particular new heist

Maybe we'll get the ability to climb certain things like NPCs can?
Either driveable escapes or 3rd person animation update. Leaning towards the former though.

the little animations says "reach new heights" so I guess no
So, while playing Big Oil day 2, the game bugged out after 30 minutes and stopped unloading corpses and props like smoke grenades and shields...

Maybe it's just me but it's giving off some Silent Hill vibes there.
Pyramid Head mask when?
"Boosting Boots" could be that news choppers will fly above the map sometimes, when it's gone loud?
That would be a cool addition.
That would be incredibly cool actually
I know it's not possible within the confines of the game but it's always struck me as weird there's no like barricades around the areas were in especially in the street maps
You'd think gjered be coverage
Go to http://www.twitch.tv/simonviklund if you want to hear some nerds say pay day
Could be official support of the 'bounce' bug that lets you climb
the HB challenge is complete. now we'll have to wait for the next website update.
