thought to be fair i think seeing every enemy's head stretched to a single point on the map while an army of hoxtons blocks the road would make any game entertaining
We can hold an unlimited amount of drills, can throw heavy bags a great distances, have the strength to knock down Shields, carry a minigun and an RPG at the same time, Sprint in a very heavy set of armor, but we can't shoulder a 10 pound RPK.
I would've thought that the second point would've been the more important one but there you go.
(Though as an aside, at least the shield one makes sense. It's a normal guy, plus a gigantic shield the size of him that is robust enough to block bullets. That thing is gonna weigh a lot, making it significantly easier to knock him down.)
Honestly this is one of the cases where I don't get why it's that big a deal and I think it's fine the way it is. You could argue it's them just being being too lazy to add proper iron sights but they clearly went out of their way to program in the new, non-iron sight behavior specifically for the weapon class so you can't have it both ways, and there's a mod that fixes it so that you can get what you want anyway. So I don't understand the outrage, especially considering that' they're not designed to be long range weapons so that kind of precision simply doesn't matter (even an 18 accuracy LMG will have worse spread than an average 18 accuracy assault rifle).
I'll probably feel this way until overkill actually bring something new to the table.
We got driving, and who says they won't bring some new features with this crimefest?

Who fucking care about logics when you're playing a game where you fight an army of clone cops, and where half of his own storyline isn't mentionned

I've always wanted to make a video like this but longer, and title it "Payday 2 is a perfectly functional game that has been out of beta for 2 years"

Nothing says they wont bring something nice with crimefest, but that hasn't happened yet and i'm pretty hesitant on getting too excited until we actually know what we're getting.
Driving is an amazing feature for the game but it's not been utilized very well so far. Car shop is frustrating and meltdown, while using it interestingly, is a massive pain in the ass.

This crimefest's heist will most likely have driving, according to the leak. Meltdown is a pain only if you play with a bad/unorganized team

Car Shop is fine it's just stealthing it with pubs that's horrible. I find it loads of fun in Meltdown as well
Car Shop is fine it's just stealthing it with pubs that's horrible. I find it loads of fun in Meltdown as well
I think the main problem i have with car shop is that i absolutely hate stealth and the time it gives you to drive is really unsatisfying.
With meltdown the swat van turret and sometimes the snipers can be the absolute worst. It's the the fault of the driving mechanics themself, just the way they've been used so far.
Car Shop is probably my least favorite map in the game.
A good thing they could do for meltdown is preventing the twat van from moving if a car is near it,so the driver won't drive right in it not seeing it was moving
this is why my drivers ed teacher taught me about scanning
Car Shop is probably my least favorite map in the game.
tbh i feel that car shop is nothing more than a glorified tech demo for driving with meh stealth tacked onto it
i do and always will consider meltdown to be the first "true" driving heist, and hopefully not the last.
Are you supposed to actually bring an LMG up to your face anyway when standing? I always thought their explanation made sense. Maybe it's just too unwieldy to bring it up to your face.
[t]http://www.overkillsoftware.com/gageweaponpack02/manual.png[/t]
(Also the LMG Steelsight mod looks awkward and terrible.)
That says while advancing though. Their own fucking manual tells them that the shit they're doing with it isn't right. Trying to fire a LMG while moving and using the iron sights would probably not be very fun, hence this little pictograph telling you what to do while advancing. While advancing, brother.

It's not really about precision for me, it's about shit not making any sense in comparison to what they've done before, with PD:TH and the Brenner, and what they're doing now with the ridiculously broke shit they're releasing and actively working on as we speak.
OVK is known for being inconsistent, but this is still a fair point that they should look into. This is just a minor issue in the face of the myriad of bullshit that you have to tweak about the LMGs to make them even remotely close to being fun or good to use, so I guess it can wait.
Edit: Also that mod stuff is ridiculous. "ovk shouldtn fix their agme!! modders shoudl."
Edit: Also that mod stuff is ridiculous. "ovk shouldtn fix their agme!! modders shoudl."
This is like saying the game is broken because it doesn't have a HoxHud bag or down counter. It's not broken to begin with. We aren't talking about something like the Unofficial Skyrim Patch here, we're talking about a quality of life, 100% personal preference mod. You're just being histrionic.
The "while advancing" bit is flavor text showcasing the movement speed penalty, both figures are while moving.
Inconsistency is a valid point for a game's overall direction... but still doesn't necessarily mean it's broken.
Jacket came in. Taking this to my next convention with some buddies who are cosplaying the payday gang.

Also, looking at it what people have bought this mask with.

Also try to keep your head at a slight angle when looking at people. Looking at someone straight on looks..

really unnerving.

I got the one you quoted, a little paint on the eyes and glue the beak shut improved it a bit.

Personally I opt'ed for a white shirt rather aqua as he appears to be wearing a white t-shirt in HM. Contrasted better with the jacket too.
Still no clue if we'll successfully hit 30k online players. At most I see 6k to 9k online half the time.
On the topic of lmg iron sights:
Didn't Lolnoob post a video about how bipods in the code enables iron sights when placed down?
We can hold an unlimited amount of drills, can throw heavy bags a great distances, have the strength to knock down Shields, carry a minigun and an RPG at the same time, Sprint in a very heavy set of armor, but we can't shoulder a 10 pound RPK.
This reminds me of the one thing that really does bug me about LMGs. The move speed penalty doesn't make any logical sense.
The heisters can sprint around at mach speed with the 11kg Thanatos just fine, but the 5kg RPK is just so heavy and unwieldy they can't run fast with it.
I can run faster with a RPG on than a LMG.
FUCK LOGIC!
If you put your LMG in your pocket it's fine.
I can run faster with a RPG on than a LMG.

Actually the RPK is the only LMG in the game right now that's lighter than an RPG-7 (shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone familiar with RPKs and how they relate to the AK series), said RPG also has considerably better balance than most LMGs too.
Being honest LMGs kinda suck. As far as complaints go about movement penalties or ironsights go a very valid one is that they're simply not worth using even if they didn't have those penalties.
I still love my KSP though.
Did a lot of Hoxton Revenge lately and I'm glad to see that the numbers went up decently enough. I mean we still got shit to do but will surely be completed soon enough. Same with Jacket up.
I honestly forgot how satisfying it was to bash someone's skull with a wooden bat.

The RPK has the same movement penalty as literally every other LMG in the game.
