That's what I initially thought we could do to it. It seems like such an obvious tactic, but Overkill just wanted us to fill it with bullets.
If anyone wants that script pre-converted to BLT let me know and I'll send you a link to mine. I never play without it.
Be warned though I've noticed that it causes some weirdness with the moving turrets on Meltdown.
I wish swat vans had a cop manning the gun with low health but a tight hitbox. That would be far better than an invincible, aimbot machine.

I really like this idea, so you can blow it up by spending an ammo bag or two, or disable it temporarily with fine aim. It does make ECMs almost fully redundant for loud, but they already were in the first place. I don't think anyone uses ECMs against vans apart from testing the gimmick.
Is it just me, or is the Falcon one of the most "meh" feeling rifles in the game? I love me a good FAL but damn.

It does sound like the most obvious way to do it. Hell, they already have assets for the insides of the SWAT Van from The Bomb: Dockyard and Hoxton Breakout; it's all fully modeled. Just chunk a part out of it, throw in a computer screen or hell, just slap a laptop in there somewhere, and bam. Balanced party van = done.
It's not like it would be that complicated. OVK's engine supports spawning objective interactibles on the go, and this would only alter the NPC turret AI which they already can do with ECMs.

Yeah, but I was thinking this could last until the turret runs out of ammo. We then say that you don't know the reloading procedures for the van's gun, and just leave it there afterwards.
Maybe you could also directly interface with the turret and shoot it yourself or something.

It's a bit of a caveat. All I really did was set those attachments to make the gun fire very short lived PDTH sniper tracers.
If you use any mods that change that effect then it'll mess with the MG42/C96/Sterling Star Wars muzzle attachments as well as the toggles that let you enable sniper tracers for snipers or for all raycasting weapons.

I'd still really like it if they could give us some proper vehicular combat. Make cops a bit less accurate when shooting at moving cars and let us drive them in places where there's cops besides van turrets and snipers. Maybe a Vlad job that has a good old fashioned drive-by shooting turn into a running battle to escape a-la heat street but with actual cars.
So I think the meme challenges unlock both one of the masks and one of the remakes,and they'll give the real hint at the end of the RTC event

Big Oil DW Bulldozer mutator unmodded AMCAR and Chimano 88 with no armor, crew chief perk deck only, no skills, and only melee you can use is your fists. And you have to do doctor miserable.

It makes all the weapons in the game more realistic, adds new gun-related gameplay mechanics and attributes, balances every gun so that all guns are worth using. It also adds new mods, descriptions, and replaces all the weapon and mod names with their real-life equivalent, which is impressive.
In short, it makes PAYDAY 2 into the best gun simulating experience.
If you ask me, Overkill should officialize his mod and hire this guy. Talent, imagination, accuracy and balance like that, you don't see that every day.
