I personally am kinda on the fence about it, it makes recoil and aiming both feel very weird, and while it makes some of the worse weapons more viable (like the AMCAR being actually good) I found it left my MG-42 really worthless.

I stopped idling for resources in mgsv for idling in menu for pd2, hope we make it

Somehow I suspect a lot of players just look at stats somewhere and are like "Oh we'll never make it like that" and quit the game. On a large scale, that might just be what makes the challenge fail right now.
