Offline practice is a really good way to get to know the game, even if you'll probably fail a lot of jobs because the teammate AI is miserably incompetent. Crime.Net really is that shitty. once you have a bit of offshore cash it's best to just buy the contracts you want. Speaking of failing jobs, don't sweat over a failed mission or two. Progression is hellaciously fast once you're comfortable with the game, and the money you can earn from small heists early on is pitiful anyway. Getting kicked for seemingly no reason sucks, but doesn't mean a whole lot at the end of the day.
I made a few icons for [url=http://steamcommunity.com/groups/sc_mod]my friend's mod[/url], he's doing a few changes to Ghost skills (including getting rid of Moving Target): [img]http://i.imgur.com/Ro3MQdl.png[/img] Granted they're just some modified default icons, but Overkill already does that themselves anyways.

Still, wish there was a toggle or something to forego that particular bit of realism and just have the guns all share the same ammo pickup by caliber regardless of how they're fed. LMGs just end up being fun to use for a bit until you realize you can't sustain yourself even if you're a decent player and make each shot count. Also wanna thank you for making this game fun again. Like 550 hours in the base game, but these last 100 with your mod on have been the most fun I've had in this game in a while. There's a reason why pretty much all my posts over the past few pages have been pushing your mod. It's just natural now to want to spread the love of an actually balanced and fully usable inventory. Edit: Strike that LMG comment. It actually works fine if you just one tap dudes, but that 'spraying down dudes' fun factor is lost if you want to keep ammo returns completely even.

Let's play a good old game of Skill Icon Rorschach, First one looks like an SMG accuracy increase, Second one's increased rate of fire/reload after a kill, and the Final one is a living enigma unsuccessfully trying to enter a turnstile sideways

Christ, is it just me or is this game getting more and more unstable? I'm constantly getting infinite loading screens, massive stutters, and the game just froze extremely hard and made me spend like 10 minutes waiting to get control of my computer back while forcing me to listen to an endless loop of the fucking drilling noise. It's getting to the point that the only games I can compare it to for instability are Bethesda titles. The worst thing I've ever experienced though? Something I've never experienced with any other game in my entire life? This hasn't happened in a long time, and I apparently deleted the screenshots of this, but for a period of time the game would at random become this incomprehensible mash. Like, I would load a level, and then in that level, there were just, I don't know how to describe it, it looked like pure white noise of random spikes vaguely colored to what the colors were in the level. I couldn't see past this haypile of fuckness and if I moved or looked around it all shifted. Y'know when bodies glitch out in games like New Vegas and get weirdly stretchy and shit? It was like that was taking up my whole screen. The only effect I can compare it to in real life is that it was like looking through a fucking kaleidoscope. And bizarrely, it seemed to be the game itself, nothing wrong with my computer at all. The pause menu still overlayed on top of all of this and so did the HUD even, but the world was just a bunch of fuck.

Imagine Dota 2 as it is forced to work on Quake engine. Not quite similar, but you got the idea.
Since we're getting a free LMG,maybe they could replace one of the useless technician skill by a skill that let you use the LMG iron sights?

I am going to be a pessimist this time, and say that the memes are just masks, that are there to pad out Crimefest. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that I am wrong, though.

Crime net overload is yet another example of overkill thinking their game is a whole lot bigger than it actually is. It feels a lot like the old crime fest where we were forcing friends to join the group or making fake accounts, now I'm telling friends who don't play the game anymore to get into payday for something they don't care about.
