Nvm then :v:
Question - I noticed that shell casings don't stay on the floor, even though I can see them flying out of my guns all the time... for such pseudo-realistic weapons, it kinda breaks the suspension of disbelief.
Will they ever add that to the game?
Huh, I never noticed them... I just figured there weren't any.
I started thinking about it after starting a mission, firing my supressed gun outside, and not hearing the ding of the shell casing hitting the floor, and not seeing it anywhere...
Btw didn't know there was "tactical reloading" on Payday :O

I never really noticed this!
i thought that was common knowledge
I honestly haven't paid enough attention to it, it's a damn good feature :v:

Now if only there were shell casings errywhere, after a fierce shootout...
I bought the game when I was already level 60 :v: you can rank up pretty fast on the free weekends!

Anyways apparently I can't aim down sight on the light machine guns, sprinting sucks when you have so much armour and having a mouse with a bunch of buttons is useful as fuck. No more trying to use the movement keys and telling everyone to hit the deck, meleeing the threats and such.
Armor does slow you down a lot, but you can mitigate it somewhat by taking Sprinter Aced and Shinobi Basic from the Ghost skill tree, and Run & Gun from the Fugitive skill tree. Gives you enough extra speed to at least move at a decent enough pace in even the ICTV while sprinting. Also a good idea to at least get basic Endurance from the Mastermind skill tree, to give you more stamina for sprinting.
Went to bed, woke up to see 4+ pages and thought more update news dropped. Turns out you guys were helping new players and discussing fav heisters. I love this thread <3
This amount of thread activity reminds me of the late 2014 days. Good times.
Anyway, just to add into the whole 'help the newbies' thing, shotguns work very differently in this game than others. The main difference is that, ALL pallets do FULL damage shown in the stats screen and only ONE of them needs to hit the cop to do full damage, any more pellets hit gets ignored and does not stack. The accuracy stat is also different in which the lower your acc., the larger the spread of your pellets and vice versa. Some people take advantage of this by purposely lowering the accuracy stat for higher success of multikills in very close fights. Personally, I'd go for an accuracy stat of 8-12 as the spread is large enough to get up 3 guys in one shot while still tight enough to hit somebody 10~ meters ahead of you.
In case you're wondering on what primary shottie to use, this is my personal stance on each one of them;
AA-12 = Pure DPS and it's a bloody AA-12, so points for that. Iirc, it has a little bit more range than the other shotties
Reinfield (R870) = Great damage with steady RoF, reliable weapon overall
Raven (KSG) = A more concealable Reinfield, great alternative to the Mosconi in FugiForcer builds
M1014 = Good for FRAG round builds with its accuracy, kinda meh on everything else
Mosconi (SxS DB) = Ultimate stealth shottie with high damage and low accuracy, works really goddamn well with FugiForcer builds and has pretty nice range too.
Joceline (OxU DB) = Mosconi with more focus towards range and accuracy, overall a very fun and powerful shottie with range equivalent to a UTS-15 with full choke in BF4 AKA very fucking far
edit: missed the Saiga because bloody hell, the gun is that inferior to the AA-12 to the point where even I forgotten about it
Izhma (Saiga) = Sorta an inferior version of the AA-12, you can mod it for stealth stuff but you're better off with the Raven instead.
God that Uts in Battlefield 4 had ridiculous range, especially considering the range of the other shotguns in the game

It gets better though since the UTS-15 is a pretty shit gun irl lmao
I rarely use shotguns for primaries. Need to give those a try along with the Raven which I've been using only for stealth by now.

Does anyone know who made this masterpiece.

So I was playing a bank heist where it's in the country side in the middle of basically no where and it was so broken. So we were all going in loud, pointed our guns at everyone, got detected a million times and told everyone to get down on the ground. Shot the security guys. No one called the cops until much after the safe doors were opened. We opened it using the key cards and waited for the damn time lock to finish. As the time went by, we kept on telling everyone to get on the ground, answering phone calls and even got some guy blackmailing us for a bag of cash. There were even civilians that were outside of the map with the ! on them for whatever reason. Something broke...
Anyways, the other bank called and was gonna go pick up something. Then the cops called about suspicious activity and will bring some cops to check things out for safety. Then some civilian called the cops, who was later shot. We got all the bags out and everything with the plane, it missed the first time with the pick up. Lot's of shooting and then we escaped via the underground tunnels and somehow we had a bag of meth. What.
The Compact-5 is a super underrated SMG, especially when modded for damage.

are you sure you didnt bring the bag of meth from the start then you just sniffed it a bit with your buds.

I find the visual recoil is a bit too much for me, I prefer running cobra or vector. Nonetheless it's a great sidearm for new players. If you've got the ak/car mod the para smg is a great sidearm. I often switch between the vector and para if I want a little more accuracy or a little more damage.

yeah but when the compact-5 is the only gun that doesn't have DLC involved, it's pretty good.
Also someone tell me what assault rifle and attachment combo is best after getting the goty dlcs. It seems like the Queens wrath rifle is the best when stock spec wise compared to my moderately molded AK.
There's a lot of various attachment combinations for all guns, half the fun is experimenting with those yourself, even though sometimes it's very hard on your cash. Just keep in mind that, as people already mentioned here, 42 damage / 18 accuracy / 25 stability are the ideal stats for any assault rifle, but most of the time you'll have to sacrifice one stat for another.

Sprinting (and moving in general) with armour gets much better if you grab skills that improve your movement speed, such as Sprinter Aced and Shinobi Basic in Ghost tree, Run and Gun Basic in Fugitive tree and Endurance Basic in Mastermind tree. Don't forget to take those if you're going for armoured build.
Who else wants to bet that a SWAT van turret (instead of a normal van) will crash into Wilson house in counterfeit PD2 like usually in PDTH? :v:
Oh Christ, talking about SWAT vans, imagine doing Heat Street with them.
I wonder how will the payouts work in the PDTH ports, especially for ones like Panic Room and Undercover.
Would be pretty cool to have the contract payout be low as shit only to have get boosted up to 12 million~ after securing the main loot. Would feel really fucking satisfying.
[editline]24th August 2015[/editline]
Anyone here got some kind of list showing all the new synergies i.e Hostage Taker ace + Muscle made by the Perk Deck balance update? Would really like to try out new builds once my laptop gets fixed.
Oh Christ, talking about SWAT vans, imagine doing Heat Street with them.
I'm assuming they'd add some parked cars like Hoxout Day 1 if they did put SWAT van spawns.

Queen's Wrath is a good gun on paper but it gets fucked over by hidden stats. Two easiest guns to mod well are CAR-4 and AK Rifle (not the 762 version). Even with the quad-stacked mags you can max them out and it's easy to keep them fed with ammo (so long as you go easy on the full-auto).
Just downloaded payday 2 again after quiting for a bit. All the missing dlcs look like some sort of satire.
I just realised. You know what's in FBI files? [sp]PDTH heists[/sp]
Hi guys, not really a huge poster here or anywhere but I would like an opinion from you, would you recommend me tracking down a Completely overkill pack?
Hi guys, not really a huge poster here or anywhere but I would like an opinion from you, would you recommend me tracking down a Completely overkill pack?
you might want to wait until october to see the full content of that pack before buying it, otherwise if the content got revealed and you didnt like it, then you just wasted 20 bucks for nothing but something you hate and 4 glowing masks, id say wait for october.
I remember a couple months ago someone found out you could still access the Completely Overkill DLC page and I bought it just to see if you could get it and I got the masks. Then I got a refund on it because I just wanted to see if it actually worked. Then I used the 20 bucks I got back to buy a game.
theres no way the completely overkill item will live up to the hype, certainly don't pickup the dlc on the premise of getting just that
