While I agree that it's a tad silly, I could still see it work as an alias, I mean, we have Dallas and Houston on the crew. Hopefully she'll get a cool personality or a neat backstory like Jiro.
If she actually has a personality outside of "is Australian" like Dallas and Houston do then that'd be fine, but I don't have much hope after how most DLC heisters have been handled.
Surprising no-one at all, Almir has mentioned at paydaycon they're going to be adding a new Australian female heister soon.
What the fuck's her peck deck gonna be? Surely they must be running out of perk deck ideas by now. [editline]29th August 2015[/editline]
Ok I'm drawing the fucking line here. I could deal with the other heisters being national stereotypes, but now it's like Overkill isn't even trying. What's next, a Canadian heister called Toronto? A German heister called Berlin?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoxton Locations make good aliases. That, and Sydney is an actual human name.

Hoping we might see more of Simon's live VA recordings. Love seeing those!
I just realized that we need one more female heister to be able to do a 'Ladies' Night Out' achievement.
fuck no, theyre back.. http://www.gamespot.com/gallery/best-cosplay-at-pax-prime-2015/2900-306/18/ and this time they won best cosplay at pax prime too??? the fuck???!!

And if it's her alias, sure, but they seem to have dropped the whole alias thing past Clover. Anyway, unrelated, but the best part of HoxHud is getting falsely flagged as a cheater because of a combination of desync and hosts with shitty internet. Can the HoxHud devs just admit that the anticheat creates more problems than it solves and have it off by default already? Hey Coyotez, if you ever see this post, I want you to convince the rest of Overkill Studios to release the card mask pack as DLC. Not everyone of us has the money or time to fly all over the country for your Cons, as nice as it would be to be able to do so.
Oh and BTW, where is that guy from Overkill that used to post here and was on a trip in Japan in March i think ? (Not talking about Coyoteze here) Back working or not?
Met him briefly when I was shopping for some PC parts (if I recall). He does retail now alongside other stuff. Recently the store he works at was almost robbed. I say almost because I dunno the right term, but he was showing something to a customer and they tried to grab it right out of his hands, but he managed to pull it back and chase after the guy! There's video footage and everything: https://www.facebook.com/webhallen/videos/1012648125423481/ :scream:

I'll take the opportunity to see if i could get into Lions Game studios AND even the Croteam studios. Oh boy, i can't wait.

The irony of the situation.
Just thought is put my two cents in. I've played a fair amount of PD:TH and PD2.ive had much more buggy experiences with cloakers in the latter. Many, many times they just stand and crouch and look at you. Half the time they don't even charge at you. And the other half when they do, they usually glitch through obstacles or disappear for a moment and then insta kick you through the wall. I can safely say in PD2 they are as equally buggy as they are functional, and even then I'm not sure if that's correct. However, in PD:TH, it's the exact opposite. I've never had buggy encounters with them and whenever one charges, I'm usually able to sprint backwards through the map and depend on my teammates to kill the cloakers while I sprint away (which is a feature I really miss). Tasers in payday 2 are also bugged in the sense where they tase you for a second and then stop. That's definitely not intended and you can see its just some weird A.I. bug if you're looking at them when they do this to you. The specials AI in PD2 is far more buggy than in PD:TH.
Yeah, this is my biggest gripe with PD2 vs PD:TH. PD:TH as a final product is just straight up better in most things. The sequel didn't really deliver on a lot of anything except for more variety between player choices, better first person animations and a proper character for Chains, everything else is a downgrade of varying proportions. Then there's the DLC fuckfest. Payday 2 isn't even close to the end of it's life cycle and it's already got 25 pieces of paid DLC. PD:TH came out with a single DLC and that DLC alone was worth more than any PD2 DLC released to date. Two full maps, an entire skill tree and three new weapons. Like I said, right now it's old game quality vs. new game quantity. I'm sure PD2 will improve and get more refined as we close in on 2016, but some part of me tells me that we'll never see the amount of detail PD:TH had until a Payday 3, and maybe not even then.
Oh my God, you people are complaining about content that isn't even released yet. Are you guys even aware of how ridiculously salty you are collectively?
I was in an office complex that was basically a bunch of doctors offices. I know there's a hospital heist in payday: the heist but it would be cool to have one in a location like this finding something. Maybe a stealth mission to destroy records or something.
Face (or voice) of the new female heister, Sydney: https://twitter.com/DamionPoitier/status/637443073505521664
The Australian heister is named Sydney? Hahahahah I hope she says cunt every 3 seconds in true Australian fashion
How dare people write constructive criticism!
The only reason why I even bother typing this stuff up is because I care. I play the fuck out of these games and I really do like the community it's built. This is a great game series and it could grow to be so much more than what it is right now. It's very apparent that the series' potential is being held back somehow and I wanna know what the fuck's happening at Overkill so I can figure out why the game suffers in so many aspects that the first game pulled off decently well. This sequel could've easily been GOTY.
all i want is the queen mask, i'd be willing to pay $3 for the entire card mask pack just so i could use the queen one

The levelling is linear and boring, there's no gun or mask customization. PD2 will have PDTH heists soon and there's the voice update coming, so soon there will be no reason to play PDTH whatsoever. It's just an inferior game imo and I'm sure if Overkill didn't move on and make PD2 they'd start the 'DLC fuckfest' in PDTH anyway.
I'm a terrible person.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I prefer Payday 2 to The Heist. Both are great games! PD:TH's strength was it's style, characters, over-the-top heist missions while Payday 2 has stronger gameplay elements, more customization. more variety and so on. Hopefully Payday 3 will take the best elements of both and give us a superb game.
I'm thinking since people don't like the Japanese-only voice for Jiro there should be an alternative (included in the Yakuza pack.) Jiro for Full on Jap-Mode Kento for English with Jap accent. Just a thought.

Well, if Overkill working on australian heister... Or Please. (It will be helluva interesting how ironsights will work on Owen). :v:

I mixed up my weapons on overkill and 145+ depending on the heist, usually it was the Amcar but in the case of No Mercy it was the Brenner or Reinfeld. I imagine the P2 versions of the original heists will somehow lose the great atmosphere and feeling from them so there'll be reason enough to go back and play P:TH. As for multiple ways to complete a heist, both games are hit and miss on that. In the case of RNG you're right about Diamond Heist - although you can get in the vault silently if you're lucky - but in the case of Counterfeit and No Mercy you could always do half the heist silently. Compare that to Payday 2's preplanning, although there's a choice people usually play the heist in one set way. For example, pressing F and G on 16 bags while shooting cops isn't fun or viable so everyone uses the bus escape on Big Bank. At times preplanning is almost superficial, like HM day 2's bag placement. All in all both games have systems for variety that could be improved, but I'd like to see alternative approaches like No Mercy's implemented into preplanning in the future.
I wish they'd make some skills support the LMG already, I need my faster reloads god damn it!
The only reason I ever see people praising the first game is either because they miss the heists and consider them much better than even the bigger heists we've gotten for the second game, or they're one of 'those' people that seem to hold the difficulty level of Payday: The Heist on a pedestal like it's a good thing.
