Very questionable. I won't get into too much detail here, but I'll quickly outline some problems.
-Build wide, not tall. A few skills are very good values and nearly all builds should take them. Endurance basic from Mastermind; Transporter ace from Enforcer; Sprinter ace, Fast Hands ace, and Shinobi basic from Ghost; and Hidden Blade or Thick Skin ace (depending on armor), and Run and Gun basic from Fugitive. These skills increase mobility significantly and are good for any build.
-Shockproof ace is not as good as Shaped Charges ace. Mag Plus is not as good as Bulletproof. Turrets are not good. Silent Drilling is not good. Nerves of Steel is phenomenally good. C4 is not good as a weapon and is only good for its stealth detection and door opening abilities. Because you are not using stealth you should focus on the door blowing ability.
-Ghost for a loud build is doable, but questionable, especially if you don't know what you're doing for a multitude of reasons. Try combining Mastermind-Enforcer, Enforcer-Technician, or-Mastermind-Fugitive starting out. Nevertheless I will humor you. Moving Target is not good. SMG Specialist is questionable to ace. Shinobi ace is only good if you're not taking Hidden Blade ace, and worthless if you're never planning on stealth.
With these tips in mind this is a much more solid build for you to take.

They don't mind letting me try my thing and pushing forward even if I mess up. Managed to actually pull off two Framing Frames loud which is surprisingly easy if you're geared for it.
It basically turns stealth into "Oh, well that's nice." rather than a requirement which is a lot less stressful.

Yeah, the Lion's Roar, Clarion and Valkyria fill that niche much better than the AMR with its limited ammo, but he asked specifically for AMR v. CAR.
AMR is a fun gun, I like fun guns
AMR is a great non-DLC gun so that's already a plus in my book.
It can go up to 40 damage without any DLC mods unlike th Car that needs the mods to be at it's full potential.

But in the game he's robbing banks and stealing nukes. Just played a bit of DW with the new armor buffs and I only 2 things to say.
1. Armor is fucking brilliant now. The extra 15%~ armor buff on the current Armorer really helps and Bulletproof + armor recovery conveniently sets my armor regen to be equal to my reload periods which has resulted in me literally screaming IM FUCKING INVINCIBLE a few times.
2. Jesus Christ now I remember why I switched to dodge, fucking Blackdozers. 400~ damage at [B]50[/B] fucking meters with a fucking [B]AUTO SHOTGUN[/B] is not fucking fair no matter how you put it. You can atleast take fucking cover against skulldozers, but not bloody black ones.

This is my main hang up about switching over to an armor playstyle for soloing (after roughly 1000 hours as a dodge-man). I usually am fine until a Blackdozer comes on to the map, and then it's impossible to take them down on my own. It just makes me feel dumb.

Just tell them to use the server room PC while you find the right PC. Obviously you should take care of that task since you know how to find it and they don't.

I've tried that, if you don't find it instantly they get bored and decide to do it themselves since you must be incompetent, then no-one's using the server room keyboard.
