Oh my goodness. This gambler buff makes me very happy. I was expecting just a cooldown reduction, or a heal/ammo increase, but both is absolutely wonderful.
every perk but grinder got significantly buffed
rogue got nerfed
Kind of disappointed to see Hitman didn't need the complete rebuilding that it needed, but all the number changes look quite good.
Infiltrator is pretty damn good now, especially on close quarter areas of a map. If you got underdog aced you can effectively take 47% less damage.
Off-topic of the current Perk update
I am really bummed that i can't go to PaydayCon after having wanted to go to it ever since it was announced
Maybe if Overkill actually gave us a date in more than 2 weeks before the event it wouldn't have mattered but i couldn't possibly fill in a free day and plane tickets in that time
lol lemme just book my flight and hotel for next week, re: paydaycon
actually would have have loved to go but i'm not going to pax and i'm definitely not using miles or hotel rewards for that
Yeah, and they still haven't even given a time or place or any actual details.
Gambler is pretty fantastic, Just did hotline miami on overkill and I don't think we even touched the medic bags
But what the fuck they didn't even touch hitman and burglar, possibly the shittiest perk decks to begin with
Sociopath seems pretty good. As long as you can keep killing things, you'll have a decent amount of armor at all times. It might be excellently paired with that one fugitive skill if you have it.
I appreciate them actually going to adjust things and make them more useful than they were before, though, I still feel as though perk decks as a whole could use some more tweaks. This update felt like a good quick-fix to issues, but there are still things that plague various perk decks that should be changed, like the aggression skills on muscle and rogue, those should have been removed and replaced. The armor piercing thing on rogue should have also been removed and replaced with something more useful.

well it's about fucking time. I'm guessing this just went up today?
Jesus damn all the changes look great
Did lionsgate put hitman in their contract? It's the WORST deck and it's not here
http://www.overkillsoftware.com/paydaycon2015/
Fucking Damion, Eric and Ilia are there?
Now i am even more sad about not being able to go
Fuck
I'm gonna have to get there super early to beat all the PAX shitters
but no doubt, I WILL be there to fulfill my destiny of meeting Simon

I guess keeping an hostage around will be a good idea now right.
Wow, I must say that the new Sociopath is a bit like the old Grinder, except for armor. I've been using a heavy ballistic vest, and I was sandwiched between multiple units, as long as I kept my killstreaks going strong, nothing was able to immediately penetrate my armor regeneration. And even better, since the panic chance is a lot more common, if you find an enemy that's in the panic state, you can score an easy hostage or health regen since melee kills heal a lot more now. Very good deck transformation indeed.
I love these changes! Gambler is really good now, you can get 16-20 hp from ammo drops once every 4 seconds, and the whole team gets healed for that same amount now instead of half.
Looking at all the changes, they all seem pretty good. Don't forget at the very bottom of that page, they tweaked Bullseye and Hostage Taker (skills). Bullseye now restores 15/45 armor on a headshot once every 2 seconds, and Hostage Taker now restores 1.5% / 4.5% hp every five seconds. I'm gonna go MuscleMind, and regenerate 8.5% hp constantly.
I'm gonna play the shit out of this update.
I still don't understand why hitman wasn't changed at all. Maybe it had to do with copyright reason with the movie or something?
I wonder if the Hitman deck will be completely redone with the John Wick update 2
surprised there wasn't one of those bain main menu message things that pop up any time something major is changed regarding mechanics or skills
they should probably do that

Looks like I can make it to Paydaycon! Awesome. Time to start growing my terrible patchy goatee.
But the fact that it's first-come-first-serve, during PAX, and it apparently has a capacity of 250 means I'm probably gonna have to get there early.
I was hoping for them to make Grinder prof per kill instead of hit, slowing it down overall seems ok I guess.
Is canary severely broken again? I appear to be unable to intimidate civilians.
When I equip the gambler perk deck my concealment decreases (or rather, the value goes up). Anyone know why?
Edit: nevermind. It seems to have fixed itself. Strange.
I like these changes, they're a step in the right direction. Great job, Overkill, this is the stuff I like to see the most. However, I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm somewhat disappointed on the lack of an update on Hitman. I think we can all agree that out of all the decks, Hitman needed a buff the most.
I'm also slightly concerned about the power creep. This game just got quite a bit easier across the board.
Interesting times ahead of us.
Uh, the update page says the Muscle perk deck's capstone is regenerating 4% of your health every five seconds, but in game it says 10%. Jesus Christ, is the latter accurate? That's insane.
The 8.5% regen with Hostage Taker and Muscle is really good.
RIP using health kits.
I want to point out that the way dodge works, 5% is a lot more than it might seem like. Thing is, the more dodge you have the more each dodge point matters. You go from 0% to 1% dodge, it's not a big deal because that 1% is hardly anything, you reduce incoming damage by only 1%. Go from 98 to 99% dodge and you just reduced incoming damage by 50%. So you gain much more effective health in the second case than in the first. So that nerf hits Rogue a lot harder than Crook. I think this is a fair nerf.

According to posts I've seen around, it's a typo in game. You just get the 4%.

Looks like the numbers of % of the deck completion bonus with the regeneration one were swapped, but only in text.
Anyone else noticed how Big Oil Day 1 became harder to stealth? That's because the majority of the thugs tend to be on the upper floor, while they used to be spread even on the two/three floors. Now there are usually 8 thugs upstairs, 1 downstairs, 6 mobile thugs as usual (3 in, 3 out) and none in the garage.
