this is probably gonna be the worst dlc yet
also the site's music is awfully boring
That Javelin throwable is hilarious.
Ok let me just pull 10 javelins out of my ass real quick so I can throw them at the cops.

There is a Walther PPK :v:

Two of the melee weapons are just reskins.
Seriously?
I just hope the ranged weapons are good.
You know, I had my doubts at first but now i'm definitely not buying this.
Greatsword is a literal direct upgrade to the katana, it has the exact same stats but with 70 (450) knockback as opposed to the katana's 7 (45) and one less concealment than the katana. :v:
While PD2 gets some melee weps and...more masks and some bows, Chivalry gets...a Medieval version of Dallas. Ehh.
Well, most of the established players in Chivalry don't even want these tie-ins.
They loathe anything that breaks their immersion, like the KF2 crossover items.

it's probably slow as fuck though
Kinda surprised Overkill didn't try to slip in something like an armor replacement of knight armor as a re-skin for Iron Man.

we already have that, in the armored transport DLC.

We don't know about the hidden stats yet, so it's either going to be a straight upgrade or something not worth using.
meh
Gonna wait for crimefest
Man.
This sucks.
So we've got three projectile weapons (When projectiles are still buggy as hell and basically only usable if you're hosting), one throwable that's probably gonna end up not as useful as dynamite, molotovs or the shuriken and yet more useless melee weapons.
Definitely gonna pass on this DLC.
So this happened on framing frame

As everyone already pointed out, we've had the PPK forever. Now a Walther P99 on the other hand...
Those stats on the fucking crossbows and bows, damn. It just seems like proof to me that Overkill has an aversion to going back and adjusting and tweaking older stuff, and instead just opt to release newer things that are better in basically every way, shape, and form.
Nonetheless, I still have a feeling all three of those weapons are going to suck, because projectile weapons instead of hitscan don't seem to work particularly well in Payday 2 unless that projectile is going very fast, which isn't the case here.
That's a awesome poster but a shit DLC
Powercreep is insane on this update. Holy shit, is it really that hard to turn old, bad weapons into good ones?
Oh, right, you can't make money that way. Shekelkill, for fuck's sakes.
The free butcher pack did update some of the olden goldies, so there is a precedent for a free gun update.
Man OK I never wanted to mention this because I like him and want to go easy on 'em, plus he doesn't work on the actual game, but it is kind of awkward when Coyoteze is in here and everyone's criticizing something and he just happens to completely ignore it :v:
[editline]e[/editline]
I mean I get that it's his job and all so he's not gonna talk shit on it but it's just awkward

It did and that's actually the first DLC I really did want to buy to support Overkill's decision to update shit and get things running again, but ofc it was free. I can only see a weapon balance update coming out on Crimefest or some similar event though.

Pretty sure he's just an animator, so he's not exactly in charge of weapon balance or anything regarding the deeper engine works of the game.
I think it's better that way too. Whenever he posts something, whatever discussion we're having usually gets derailed to heck and turns into something more directly related to meshes and animating since that's his field of expertise.

I really like weapons in pre-historical pack DLCs. Sniper/Shotgun/Assault packs were pretty unique, with modern weapons and lots of mods. Melees were crap, but they still represented different categories. And actual weapons were pretty balanced, too.
Now it's just CRUNCH THE NUMBERS UP, because damage is totally what everybody wants.
Also, everyone who bought Western/Ninja packs got fucked with this pack coming out.
This DLC is definitely a pass for me, too.
dozer bobblehead came in today (yesterday)
it's cool and painted/detailed well but as a bobblehead it actually kinda sucks, lol. the base on a bobblehead isn't supposed to move when you move the head.
source: buying many a high quality bobblehead for my dad, who collects them
Why does the English Longbow have a fire rate of 300?!
The real question is why does it have 36 stability?
Or why does it have 29 concealment? Or 650 damage?
This whole DLC is just "why".
I feel bad for Coyoteze or any Overkill Facepunchers when I see this thread :(
It's still a terrible DLC though
