The real question is why does it have 36 stability?
Whoever is in charge of the weapon stats on the update page probably forget to spec out of leadership. It happened in the ninja pack dlc page as well.
So, this latest DLC... What weapons got outdone again? Heard that longsword is already better than katana. Like holy shit, do a melee overhaul already, you wouldn't need to make each DLC melee weapon outdo the ones in the last DLC.
I want a pre-historic DLC where we get throwable rocks that 1-shot dozers and wooden clubs that cause explosions, because that makes just as much freaking sense as a scottish scotch drinking fat woman running around at 30 mph using a longsword to steal nukes. Because there just isn't enough power creep already.
Why does the English Longbow have a fire rate of 300?!
At that point are you just vomiting arrows?
The real question is why does it have 36 stability?
What about damage? 650 damage for the longbow. It outclasses all but one of the sniper rifles for damage, and it's literally just a piece of wood and a bowstring.
I knew the stats had to be bullshit for people to actually want the weapons, but this is just stupid overkill.
Man, I just looked at the models closely, yeah, the only custom work done for this update other than coding is the different arrows, they're all just model ports.
paid dlc for model ports takes the absolute piss

You better be taking notes
Truth be told, personally, I feel left out that I didn't buy at least some of this DLC, mainly weaponry, masks idgaf, heists idgaf if I join a host that plays a paid heist. The thing is, there's people sniping specials from miles away with Lebenslaugers, controlling choke points with molotovs, fucking Dozers with the Thanatos, stopping Cloakers dead in their charges with taser melee and poison shurikens/knives. Meanwhile I'm sitting with a shitty ass 24/18/25 Car-4, which is my MOST viable tool right now, backed up by a Strykr-C18 when dodging or Locomotive when techforcer. Plus I have Cards as my only throwable, I don't even have the grenades DLC. Just shows how screwed out of options non-DLC users are(note: I do have courier DLC, that's why I use Car-4). Now I know that with Butcher mods, UAR became a very good non-DLC rifle, but it can't do the things mentioned above, nor can Car-4.
I feel so bad when I'm dodging and encounter a Shield and where others can pop a sniper into his eyes, I have to either run away or do some bullshit maneuvering around him while he is locked on to me, spinning around fast enough to spawn a fucking tornado. At least with techforcer I can stunlock these shitters to the ground, they can't even do anything as I smack them around like pinballs. Shame I can't do the same to cloakers.
Sorry for the long rambly kind of post, it's getting late and I'm sort of tired. Smell ya later when the Caveman DLC comes out in October.
Hopefully this wasn't the big crossover project that Almir was all excited about because tbh this is looking to be the worst dlc pack for the game so far.

that project is probably the goat simulator heist
SHould've had a Renaissance Festival heist to go along with this DLCs
Whats probably going to end up make or breaking the deal for me to get the dlc is if we get some really nice legit knight helmets as masks. Not one of those super shenanigans front half is real back half is still a mask.
What would be super cool is if one of the masks is always on your head, but when you "put your mask on" you flip the visor down.
SHould've had a Renaissance Festival heist to go along with this DLCs
All enemies during the heist have unique models for different medieval things:
-taser = archer
-cloaker = assassin
-bulldozer = knight/paladin
-shield = tower shield
and etc.
that project is probably the goat simulator heist
I'm honestly not looking forward to that one. Maybe it's just me but the premise sounds really dumb. Like how could a Goat Simulator heist even work?
Would it really have been that hard to make another endless styled map, ala Cook Off or White Christmas, and given it some medieval props? Hell, they could have just taken things right from Chivalry and spruced up White Forest. Instead of coke in boxes, we got gold coins in brown sacks, that fell from a tree. And maybe a reskin of the cops to have knight-like appearances?
Most of that would be purely cosmetic, and audio. Level design would be replacing some things, maybe adding some additional cover.
It really wouldn't have been that much work, compared to making a new map from scratch. Plus, then we would have a new heist to dick around with, and this whole thing would have felt a lot less like a cash-grab promotion for a game that was (and probably still is) dying off.
This is just so god damn lazy.
I know this part is late (I just modded the Ninja Pack last night), but even the weapon mods have been getting lamer. Both the Lebensauger and the Pistol Crossbow have two mods that are the same, and the Pistol Crossbow has a mod that is a straight downgrade, and the Kross Vertex only has one unique mod. That's ridiculous.
The only thing from the Chivalry pack I was even remotely interested in was the Buckler shield (I was hoping for a new Shield mechanic, maybe something to provide a ton of defense while limiting weapon choice and movement speed) but it looks like it's just another basic melee.
Crimefest is coming up next month, we can probably expect a fair amount of free content coming with it.
Personal prediction is the release of the ported Payday 1 heists. And maybe some more news about modding - Steam workshop support?
Should've had a Renaissance Festival heist to go along with this
Maybe even pull a Killing Floor and reskin the cops on certain heists for the holidays. Tripwire got tons of mileage out of the Christmas/Hillbilly/Carnival zeds. Even something simple (like how Cloakers wear Santa hats on White Xmas) would go a long way.
Lot of wasted potential here.
It looks so much worse considering that every other chivalry crossover was free for owning chivalry/vice versa. Obviously Overkill feel that they can get away with charging for this, and I only hope that they're proven wrong.
Is there any reason to use a silenced Sniper Rifle? The main upside of a Sniper Rifle is shooting people from far away, and a Silencer makes it so nobody hears the shot, but in stealth it's worthless because then you have to answer the pager. Either you run across the map (ruining the point of the snipe) or you have someone else answer it (why can't they just shoot 'em instead?). Plus the suppressor drastically drops the damage output (unless you dump points into Silent Killer).
The only thing I can think of is shooting through walls in stealth (very situational, also requires you to be close to the target) or taking out thugs in Big Oil or Firestarter (even more situational, will most likely just go loud anyways).
Big Oil and Firestarter are pretty much the only levels it might be useful, and only with a large team.
Of course silenced Thanatos + silencer skills actually ups the damage.
It looks like the new crossbow might go through shields/armor... Mentions a knight getting pierced
Of course silenced Thanatos + silencer skills actually ups the damage.
Which is useless since you kill everything with one shot except Bulldozers which requires 2 shots (3 on Deathwish). The extra damage from Silent Killer doesn't help with the Thanatos.

This as a mask please
Kinda surprised Overkill didn't try to slip in something like an armor replacement of knight armor as a re-skin for Iron Man.
If they do do that itd be announced with the masks
I only fear that Overkill will try to force this dumb "members milestone" shit like they did the last time. One million is already a massive number of people, what can you go for this time around?

I honestly don't expect them to make us grab more people, because if they wanted us to do that they would've warned us back near the end of July probably.
I expect that they'll just reveal and give out the stuff for free, or do another Hype Train type event.
I feel bad for Coyoteze or any Overkill Facepunchers when I see this thread :(
It's still a terrible DLC though
Pretty sure it feels like more effort and love goes into his trailers and animations than the actual in-game content we get. So we can at least compliment him on that.
They better not pull another Hype Train.
Are poison tipped arrows even worth using.
Have they un-fucked Shadow Raid yet?
