Even 4 extra skillpoints would be ridiculous, 80 would be insane.
Do we really need more overpowered builds than we already have? Like honestly.
So I thought of a few weird ways that would be nice to reward people at the higher infamy levels, and the sheer amount if time that it takes to reach them:
-Every infamy level past infamy 5, that also rewards a mask, rewards 1 extra bonus skill point to the bonus given every 10 levels.
-Each of the 4 far corners of the infamy tree reward the player with an additional 20-30% skill point requirement decrease for tier 4 and upwards similar to levels 2-5 of the infamy tree. Traditionally, each far corner would only effect Fugitive and One other skill tree, requiring all 4 for maximum potential.
-The Ace of Spades throw-able weapon deals additional damage based on your level of infamy. As well as cosmetically looking like your current infamy card.
-Players at infamy 18 and higher have permanent access to the offshore casino.
[sp]Somebody at infamous 17 with all of the bare minimum requirements to reach each mask tier would have 80 extra skill points at their disposal at level 100.[/sp]
[sp]The additional skill point requirement decreases would allow for potential "super builds", such as somebody with Aced Akimbo, Bulletproof, Iron Man, and Inspire.[/sp]
[sp]Somebody at infamy 25 would be able to one-shot kill most specials, bar the Bulldozer, with a single card. Making it more viable and powerful the longer you play the game.[/sp]
You're trying to fix a problem that isn't there.

I think a viable option would be simple things that don't directly affect skills like getting more favors on jobs [sp]I really want to do thermite and C4 tunneling on big bank[/sp], extremely minor movement speed buffs, extended inspire range, etc. But I think adding more skill points is the wrong way to go.
Thread is pretty quiet, sooooo....

I just reached 1000 hours in this lovely game, so I would like to give one lucky person a Payday 2 DLC of their choice.
Rate this post anything and you'll be entered into a raffle which will end tomorrow at around 5 PM PST

For my Payday 2 stealth improvement guide, I've added the following:
- For any contract, 1 favor is added for each two players with an Infamy level between 6 and 15.
- 1 favor is added for each player with an Infamy level between 16 and 25.
- 2 favors are added if all players have completed all the other contracts by the same contractor on the same difficulty than this heist.
So you get additional favors with Infamous players and fidelity to the employer. Makes sense, doesn't it? And it can only get you a maximum of 6 additional favors.
I love the idea of additional favours, even if its a perk or skill for mastermind (non stacking, like other mastermind stuff).
I feel it doesn't really break many things, but it makes heists like Big Bank or Golden Grin cooler because you can get that special useless but cool favour (looking at turrets on BFG).
When do you guys think another sale will roll around? One of my best buds agreed to buy me some DLC once it goes on a sale, and I'm gonna have roughly 5 bucks added to my Steam account for the very first time just so I can buy some of the DLC, but only the important stuff like the Gage Weapon Packs and the AK/CAR Mod Pack.
I think OVK's way of handling DLC is awful, but this is pretty much the only game I play anymore, so I guess I better pay up.
Edit: Also isn't the new enemy and the FBI files coming out in like 10 days? I'm actually curious if that'll pull through at all.

I'm not sure where you got that 10 days thing from, I thought he was coming with the new crimefest?

I believe there's generally a fall and/or Halloween Steam Sale.

The Gensec enemy and FBI Files will be released on Septermber 24.
FBI files could be some sort of teasing for the remakes
That reminds me.
Does anyone know how many masks Payday: The Heist had back in the day counting the Alienware masks?
I'm starting to think that the Completely Overkill reward are maybe re-made versions of the old Payday: The Heist masks. I mean if you count every mask I'm pretty sure you can have a number that goes higher than 25.

I'm pretty sure the CO pack secret stuff is part of a new feature
Yeah just got past 250 achievements yesterday. Hoxton revenge stealth was easier than I thought. Got to lads for Tabula Rasa. Grinder makes this incredibly easier and we got hold on 4 keycards, got the armory and closed two entrances. Afterwards we did "We are rockstars on this job" which was very easy and finally "Boston Saints" which was rather annoying because it really requires a lot of skillpoints to survive in a decent manner. Still got all of them. It was a sucessful day. Now I try the achievement on Firestarter Day 2 again. These boxes must be trolling.
Just clutched an Ovk Big Oil day 2 [Even though the host did most of the work before they all went to prison] My heart is beating so fast I'm about to have a heart attack.
So does anyone know how to replace the circle for the exp you gain during the end of a heist, since I had to reinstall hotline hud again and forgot about its giant blue circle of an exp circle it has and I wanna remove it.

I believe its Mod Name/gui/textures/pd2/hud_progress_active.texture & hud_progress_active_back.texture
Edit: this is incorrect this should be the interact circle.
I believe its Mod Name/gui/textures/pd2/hud_progress_active.texture & hud_progress_active_back.texture
Incorrect
It is:
Modname\guis\textures\pd2\endscreen\exp_ring.texture
Been thinking about a support perk deck too. Something like the extra favours or discounts on assets(which IIRC was a levelling bonus on mastermind...?) and taking semi-useless skills like Nine Lives and making it a team wide perk ability. However, a completely passive buff -deck could be rather boring to play. Then again I always put points into Inside Man and the like.
I wished silent killer was more viable for loud,it cost too much skill point for the options it give currently.

It certainly could use a move-to-perk treatment *coughHitmancough*

It's a 'part of a big project', my bet is weapon customization
wow.. im dumb, i just realized you can stick your body crouched out of the longfellow window when sitting next to the driver using the crouch key, so that you can shoot cops
just like this

im really an idiot, how come i never noticed this? its been 4 fucking months and didnt even know about it.

Wait what?! This changes everything.
Wait what?! This changes everything.
try it yourself, enter the longfellow and sit next to the driver seat, then press the crouch key and there you go, you can shoot cops while still inside the car, though dosent have an animation to it like GTA :v:
It's really impractical though, since you move way too fast to actually hit anything. You're better off just sitting in the car.

just tell the driver to slow down, duh?
just tell the driver to slow down, duh?
For what ever reason would you ever slow down in Meltdown other than trying to help another player that was downed by the numerous swat vans and snipers?
Remember when one of us discovered that pressing space skipped the level up screen and everyone exploded in surprise?
