It ought to be something like just a regular open-hatch mounted machinegun that cops would have to walk to and mount to use against you. Then you can just shoot the gunner which can be replaced by another cop, creating a threat that's easier to deal with but also eventually returns if left unattended. Maybe even players could even try to take the risk of being in the open and using it for themselves.
yes actually there shouldn't be a thing that makes it nearly impossible to access most of the map because you chose to play on anything above v. hard
when other game have invincible enemies,no one complain but when it's payday I never had a single problem with turret personally, and I'm not highly MLG skilled
You guys will never know the satisfaction of ganking a dw swat turret and destroying it in less than a minute Try it, it's fun
name another coop mp game that has invincible enemies double points if its a wave based shooter triple points if its a game that people actually like
I haven't found any but 1 - I'm sure there's some around 2 - because no other game ever did it doesn't mean it's bad
2 - because no other game ever did it doesn't mean it's bad
Nobody is arguing that it's bad because it's unique. The SWAT Turret is objectively a poorly designed enemy. It's a huge cannon that can glitch out your AI team members, and force them into a continuous down-loop. It doesn't encourage strategic play, because it just cuts off every escape route. For instance: Watch Dogs. You have to kill it, or have an incredibly quick (non Pub game usually) team to actually get out in the original escape car. Even with the armored car asset. [editline]20th September 2015[/editline]
You guys will never know the satisfaction of ganking a dw swat turret and destroying it in less than a minute Try it, it's fun
They're not difficult for human players with molotovs to kill at all.
so because it is an enemy you SHOULD be able to kill it?
yes especially in fucking bank heist where there are two of them this is a heist for beginners and there are swat vans
yes especially in fucking bank heist where there are two of them this is a heist for beginners and there are swat vans
It's in fucking Four Stores, too.
yes especially in fucking bank heist where there are two of them this is a heist for beginners and there are swat vans
that's one of the only heist where they are fucked up only 1 turret was enough
Four stores also has them. And since it's in the middle of the goddamn road newbies are bound to get their asses handed to them.
Four stores also has them. And since it's in the middle of the goddamn road newbies are bound to get their asses handed to them.
Newbies get their asses handed to them by turrets no matter what. Most of them seem incapable of comprehending that you can just ignore it, even in cases like Hoxout where you should be following the truck instead of standing in one spot shooting a stationary enemy.
Most of them seem incapable of comprehending that you can just ignore it
and not only the newbies
that's one of the only heist where they are fucked up only 1 turret was enough
Election Day warehouse loud would like to have a word with you.
have you guys ever thought of just taking ecm in loud 2 ammo bags and 2 med bags are already enough in most heists
Election Day warehouse loud would like to have a word with you.
The turret in GO Bank is also a huge pain, especially if the drill parts get dropped in the front instead of in the back.
have you guys ever thought of just taking ecm in loud 2 ammo bags and 2 med bags are already enough in most heists
This PRO ADVICE is coming from someone who hasn't finished most loud-exclusive heists on Death Wish. Please go away
so because it is an enemy you SHOULD be able to kill it?
Imagine the level 2 sentry in Team Fortress 2 being unkillable, does that sound balanced to you? Because that is essentially what the SWAT Van is, and if you think that sounds anywhere close to balanced, that's fucking mental.
when other game have invincible enemies

I haven't found any
Do you even read your own posts? The SWAT Van is undeniably poorly executed, you SHOULD be able to kill an enemy especially in a wave based coop game, to add on top of that it shouldn't require the whole team to waste all their ammo reserves OR be forced to buy DLC.
This PRO ADVICE is coming from someone who hasn't finished most loud-exclusive heists on Death Wish. Please go away
To be fair though, ECM Feedback can help a lot in fuck-up situations and unless you're using something like HE Rounds or an LMG, you can just get profit pickups since Walk-In Closet is a free mini FL Ace. One dude with Aced Meds is also enough especially since health regen skills are becoming more common nowadays.
Van Turret was really rushed, and the Crimefest enemy was in the works for almost a year, they can't fuck up it... Right?!
Van Turret was really rushed, and the Crimefest enemy was in the works for almost a year, they can't fuck up it... Right?!
One can only hope.
Van Turret was really rushed
Heck, Hype Trail was really rushed and poorly executed. Let's hope Crimefest 2015 will be rad!
The turret in GO Bank is also a huge pain, especially if the drill parts get dropped in the front instead of in the back.
Combine that with "oh yeah put the skyhook in the street" basically makes me want to scream.
swat van turrets shouldnt even appear in NORMAL difficulty.
What piqued my interest in the new enemy is how they've described it as relying heavily on dialogue. Sounds like it could be something really interesting.
What piqued my interest in the new enemy is how they've described it as relying heavily on dialogue. Sounds like it could be something really interesting.
maybe the new enemy is bain talking even more than before
What piqued my interest in the new enemy is how they've described it as relying heavily on dialogue. Sounds like it could be something really interesting.
Crimefest also mentions you'll shit bricks when you see it. Maybe it will tell you ghost stories or something.
maybe the new enemy is bain talking even more than before
"Guys, the thermal drill. Go get it. Once it's in place, we can worry about opening that vault. But first, you need to go get it. Also. Don't forget about keycards, and the bank manager. Keycards are always useful. They'll help you bypass some of the building security. Watch out for guards and cameras. When you're ready, start the timelock, and if the phone rings, you'll just have to patch me through, and I'll do the rest. I'll try to keep GenSec off your backs for as long as I can. But first, you need to go get that thermal drill. Remember about civilians, don't get careless, or this will go bad. If you kill too many civilians, it'll be almost impossible for me to trade you. By the way, the front entrance seems like the obvious way in, but they'll have a lot of security around. Maybe look for other ways in. If you take care of the operator, you won't have to worry about those cameras anymore. There's a back entrance, so lockpick away if you like it sneaky. If there are witnesses around, things might get loud. You'll probably need that thermal drill first though. It's quiet out there tonight. Keep it that way. Once you're inside that vault, don't forget about those deposit boxes, they might contain something worthwhile. But remember: gold is golden. You'll have to figure that out. I'm sure a clever crew like you can figure it out. I would have loved to have Genghis Khan on the team. Hmm, nice tech. But nothing I can't handle. There is no spoon. We are in the wrong line of work gentlemen. I've always wanted to be guard in a museum, if it wasn't for, you know, the whole robbery thing. Maybe we could go there for our next big score. On with our heist here. Guys, the thermal drill. Go get it. Did I ever tell you about my grandpa and his heisting days?"
Imagine the level 2 sentry in Team Fortress 2 being unkillable, does that sound balanced to you? I was thinking of the new enemy using a portable LRAD (A Long-Range Acoustic Device) to deter or deny players to certain areas of the maps. Either that or the enemy plays 'brown noise' which makes you supposedly shit your pants because of the frequency.
The turret in GO Bank is also a huge pain, especially if the drill parts get dropped in the front instead of in the back.
Also it's parked right next to the manhole you have to slowly interact with and then throw loot down to escape. I only got away by the skin of my teeth on DW because pre-nerf dodge rolled all the right numbers.
