Please post the method you use for combination and the result so we can get a better idea for how this works.
Ok, so it seems that whatever imprint you put in last makes the difference (might be wrong here).
For example, someone on the WF forums did a cat imprint on the left, dog on right, and used a dog egg for the incubation, and got a Kavat. So things are definitely a bit wonky when it comes to the "rules" of this bug.
I wonder if you can just put 2 kavat imprints into a kubrow egg and skip getting the 10 Kavat codes altogether?

If there are no kubrow imprints there shouldn't be any risk of any class but kavat classes and no risk that any kubrow parts spawn onto a kavat/vice versa.
so can you start a dog incubation then put cat codes in, or is it just that you can put dog codes into cat incubations?
I assume both but Kubrow eggs are way easier to get than 10 codes so most people are using kubrow eggs for incubation.

This was abomination(Smeeta) imprint in right slot first, Chesa imprint in left slot last.
This one is most related to the Chesa family of Kubrow.

You can revisit junctions and fight their specters again.

One of the few redeeming qualities of Archwing was that at least all slots for weapons & archwings were unlocked. It was less restrictive in a way.
No matter how much they upgrade archwing now I'm never going to be able to appreciate it again, adding specific archweapon & archwing slots killed it for me and I honestly slightly enjoyed archwing. I couldn't play it long but in small doses it was a nice break.
all i want to do in archwing is just go gundam levels of fucking fast and dodge missiles
just go fucking play ace combat and watch literally any anime with outer space robots and there you'll have what you need to make archwing fun all around DE get on it
