Perhaps, but Kavats are pretty darn powerful (for example, cat's eye=red crits for days). It's somewhat worth it maturing them provided their color scheme still fits post-maturity.
Shame you can't have one as fully cosmetic pet which runs around while have one for battle.
Also why do you need free the incubator machine thingy when you make new pet? I mean the other pet could just sleep outside it, let us flood our ship with animals.

What bothers me the most is that you can't have a Kavat and a Kubrow out simultaneously. The whole stasis cycling is a pain in the ass.
Hopefully the infested area gets turned into Kavat/Kubrow/overall big arsenal/storage room.

If they were viable IN ANY WAY, I wouldn't mind as much either, but they're both hot garbage, they literally exist for no other reason than a status symbol.
Like to put it in perspective the lato vandal is literally fucking worse than the normal lato in both burst and sustained damage.
