Sometimes the Primes are a bit different, like the Fragor being a really average hammer while the Fragor Prime is a hammer that hits stupid hard and stupid slow.
edit: also sometimes an augment mod won't work with the prime/upgraded version

Most Prime versions are just straight up better.
Note that I used the word "most".

I like to collect them all. Besides most of the vanilla frames look complete different from their Prime counterparts.
It's all about style and having more to choose from is better. Who cares if the normal ones are worse than the Primes?

Albeit now that we have Vauban and his Beret helmet you can color him yellow and have a "French's Mustard" too.
I caved and blew 100 plat on a latron prime set when I could've used some slots.

It genuinely pains me seeing all of those pure void jet black and eye gouging red colour schemes. The amount of people unironically trying to be edgy stalker manz is growing.

I just realized I have over 3,000 plat worth of arcane helmets.
I use black and red because I actually like the colors. Blacks, whites, greys, reds. The only exceptions are for Chroma, Mesa, Rhino Prime, and Banshee
Chroma gets colored partly based on his current energy color. Mesa gets colored browns to make it look like she's wearing old, dusty cowboy shit. Rhino Prime is only allowed to look like a 40k Space Marine, and Banshee gets white with very light blues for that spooky ghost look.
Well it isn't like Black, red, and etc are bad. It's just particularly ugly when it's 90 percent of the frame is black and then accents of red are added in for the sake of typicality. Give them a bonus point if they have the krimzon guard's sigils on too.
Black and red can potentially look amazing anyways if it's done in moderation or at least with somne skins. It looks great on Volt prime for a Monsoon cosplay from personal tinkering.

Didn't they already make an apology post on some Reddit thread? Maybe I'm just remembering wrong.
Also, I've been using a PS4 controller to play recently, and I actually really like how it feels in the game. Unlike other shooters, you really don't have to be accurate in WF, and I feel like it's easier to fly and jump around with a controller. Much more laid-back too when you're grinding out missions.
I sorta doubt the update's gonna be out at least until this second round of Acolytes is over. It really seems like a "sorry dinner's taking so long, have some cookies in the meantime".
