"lets not dilute the drop tables" "let's put every goddamn part on tower 3 survival because fuck you you're gonna grind for it anyway lol"
the dojo broke again [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/266088771214914078/36DAAF6383052A366048845A06D369F07FC7C5DD/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/266088771215007626/306D828965DC97D6FEEBB3A1BFE904CB2F5EE3D9/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/266088771215007371/3200AC5FDF47A55D45EA3D259003AC0D113FD66D/[/t]
These new Bounce alternatives are pretty fun. This is not okay. Realtalk, I'm probably going to be making an in depth Mr Plinkett style video on this bullshit. I already spent 2 hours writing a script this morning just on explaining grind vs content, the design council, and the balance between bullshit and non-bullshit in a free to play game. I haven't even touched Vauban or Nitian Extract.

More than anything, having each new item that uses it take double what the last did is just not reasonable

here's an excerpt of my unfinished script I'm sharing it because of how fucking interesting the resource costs then vs the resource costs now are.
Lets take a look at the requirements for the frame, shall we? Vaunban Prime Blueprint Vauban Prime blueprint drops in one of the most rarest gamemodes to find a match in. The drop chances are also terrible. Vauban Prime Helmet Blueprint. Vauban Prime Helmet blueprint also drops in one of the most rarest gamemodes to find a match in. But the difficulty of the mission is slightly lower. Thanks Digital Extremes. Vauban Prime Chassis Blueprint Vauban Prime Chassis blueprints drops in one of the most hardest gamemodes, of the highest difficulty. It takes about 20 minutes for you to obtain a chance at getting this blueprint. Vauban Prime Systems Blueprint Vauban Prime Systems Blueprint drops in the second hardest gamemode, of the second hardest difficulty. It takes exactly 20 minutes for you to obtain a chance at getting this blueprint. I'll compare the resource requirements to a popular frame that you see in almost every match because of how useful it is, in fact, he's probably more useful that Vauban Prime. Meet Frost Prime. He breaks the balance of the game, meaning he's good. Resource Requirements for Frost Prime vs Resource Requirements for Vauban Prime: 1800 common resources compare that to 47,000 common resources That's a lot of resource requirements for a frame that is arguably worse than the frame that it's being compared to. <mumble>It gets worse</mumble> Lets look at uncommon resources. 1020 uncommon resources. It consists mostly of a resource that you can get on one of the first areas of the game. compare that to 29000 uncommon resources 7,000 consists of oxium, the exploding "drops from 1 enemy" resource. You'll get around 20 every minute, meaning that it takes roughly 5 hours to farm 7,000 oxium. Fun fact: This blueprint used to call for 14,000 oxium until they thought it was too much, THAT WAS YOUR LINE? WHAT THE FUCK. 9,000 consists cryotic, the extractor resource. It takes roughly 3 hours to farm 9,000 cryotic. The rest are two times of resources that are common, but not common enough for you to have 8,000 and 5,000 on hand. Onto rare resources. 1 Orokin Cell: 1 can drop from an early level boss. 1 Neural Sensors: 1 can drop from an early level boss. 2 Morphics: 1 can drop from an early level boss. compare that to 23 rare resources of that 23 <stop music> 20 are Nitain extract This was the point where I lost all feeling in my rear end. This was the point where Digital Extremes inflicted so much pain, my brain put my butt into a state of eternal numbness. I can no longer be butthurt, I can no longer enjoy the feeling of having a butt. <start sad music> It will take me about forty days to obtain enough Nitain to get Vauban Prime, going off my average playtime of 3 hours per day. It will take me about forty days for the butt medication to kick in, and several years of butt therapy to ever feel anything again. Digital Extremes will forever be known as the people who fucked me hard enough to the point where I couldn't feel anything.
Jesus christ, I'm never getting vauban prime with these resource costs. And I sure as hell won't be spending 100+ bucks on prime access. DE pls reconsider ur choices :disappoint:

I tried it in the Simulacrum and my Aklato did 19 damage before applying Shred on armored enemy. After Shred my Aklato dealt 20 damage. Same with other weapons I tested. The damage boost was in the range of 1-3 damage. Maybe I should try with more heavy hitter guns. The best "bounce" grenade after the patch is the Concuss. It's a radial stun with 12 seconds radiation and it has a good range. The others are for the "comedy" part mostly.
So Prime variants are supposed to be harder to get than the normal versions right? So why did everyone think that Vauban ( A frame you get from alerts and login rewards ) would have a Prime that wasn't hard to get? I know people will still say its shitty, and it is. But its not supposed to be easy. At least you have a goal you can achieve if you work towards it unlike the regular Vauban where its time that decides wether you get it or not.
I expected Vauban to be hard to get. I'm talking like 5 Nitian Extract hard to get.

[editline]18th May 2016[/editline] And in this case I prefer wait
Vauban Prime aside I really wish you could choose your guide for missions. I get sick of hearing Lotus every time. Give me some Tenshin or Darvo. Some of Darvo's lines are genius. "They locked you out? That's cute"
That was easy. Keep moving.
right, Vauban Prime came out and with adjustments to his kit I thought "hey maybe I'll play the game again!". Now looking through this thread it instantly killed any desire I had for it. I really can't stand this retarded grind anymore. How fucking delusional people who write craft requirement numbers are? They literally put everything out of their asses and community just accepts it, I can't believe it. I bet even if people spam same sentence in Twitch chat during their stream about this being a clusterfuck they won't notice and just ignore that.
Does anyone here have spare Wyrm Cerebrum and BP before I have to resort to my superior haggling skill in wf market? [editline]18th May 2016[/editline] Loki parts sure have inflated quickly, is he really that big of a meme frame?
There is nothing wrong with the Vauban Prime's crafting requirements except the 20 Nitains. Everything else can be grinded in no time, but for Nitain you have to just sit&wait for alerts.
Does anyone here have spare Wyrm Cerebrum and BP before I have to resort to my superior haggling skill in wf market?
If you're still looking I have one BP stashed away
I think Vauban should take 30 Argon instead. I mean getting that would be easy because you will have over 100 at the time you've got the parts.
If you're still looking I have one stashed away
I am indeed still looking for it
There is nothing wrong with the Vauban Prime's crafting requirements except the 20 Nitains. Everything else can be grinded in no time, but for Nitain you have to just sit&wait for alerts.
7,000 Oxium.
The craft material for Vauban that hit me the hardest is Oxium (I only have 300 :v:), I mean 7k holy shit that's probably a month worth of em if you don't dedicate into Oxium farming Cryotic still isn't as bad as the shitty icepop mace but it's going to take up my whole reserve
I am indeed still looking for it
I'm in-game now, same name as here Tonight's you lucky night Meet me in the Dojo. Wear something sexy.
7,000 Oxium.
Pfft, it's nothing. Run Cerberus or just do some key/core farming on Triton. Also AFAIK Hydroid's Pilfering Swarm should work on Oxium Osprays.
Shout out to Ruby_Axe for being :thebest: [sp]and touching me in weird part at the dojo[/sp]
Pfft, it's nothing. Run Cerberus or just do some key/core farming on Triton. Also AFAIK Hydroid's Pilfering Swarm should work on Oxium Osprays.

7,000 Oxium.
7,000 Oxium is roughly put 700 Oxium drones, with pilfering it would be obviously roughly 350.
Assuming that the resource requirements are this insanely high to drain the stockpiles of veterans, maybe they should just put a cap on resources to prevent these insane stockpiles from accumulating in the first place. I can only assume the Sibear's huge Cryotic cost was a similar response to people grinding tons of Excavation missions before they got nerfed. Would also be solved by caps.
7,000 Oxium is roughly put 700 Oxium drones, with pilfering it would be obviously roughly 350.
So it's not that bad. Like I said you can do multitasking, farm keys and cores while killing the drones. It's more about people's mindsets being set to "grind this one specific thing". You'll need the keys anyway to farm more stuff in the void.
Remember that Zephyr is still, depending on your platform, if not the least, one of the least used Warframes in the entire game. She only has a 600 Oxium and this has persisted after the oxium gain increase. Back when she was released, remember that you could only get one, maybe two oxium per osprey for something that required 600. Now its about 10 for something that requires 7000. Its literally worse than the requirements for pretty much the least owned Warframe in the entire game.
