i still don't fucking get why single daggers in this game have the lowest crit chance and damage but a fucking warhammer and greatsword and a goddamn chainsaw whip have greater chances and damage

Not in the late, [b]late[/b] game. If the enemies get a high enough level stealth finishers will still always 1 hit them with covert lethality (which is only available for daggers) whereas other melee weapons will have fallen off so hard it's painful
I shouldn't need to have to stealth kill with the fuckin things alone just to make them feasible
i mean shit even when you're ash/loki/ivara with invisibility for those guaranteed crits they just don't amount to the damage that other weapons can dish out, even without mods.
Shit, isn't the Sheev slower than some other fucking weapons that aren't even in the dagger class?

i just sometimes like to vary things up but when i don't feel like i'm getting the use out of something why should i even bother using it still
but i hate just using things for the sake of "mastery fodder," i wanna at least get the most out of what i wasted my time for
Am I right in the thought that it's the base damage that determines the power of elemental damage? Because I tried making my soma into one but it was utterly useless but my galatine on the other hand destroyed whatever it touched. BTW, I am supposed to use the cards to each strenght right? So crit and speed is the way to go with the soma?

Yeah I know the balancing is bad, just pointing out that enemies can scale so strong that you can pretty much [i]only[/i] kill them with daggers (using covert lethality), so it's not like they're useless.
Every melee weapon is good as long as you slap Body Count on it. Perhaps not all of them are end-game viable, but end-game sucks anyway. Why not just enjoy the game and use whatever the fuck you want?
For example 40 minutes of T3/4 survival is enough for me as pretty much any weapon with good build should still clear it just fine. Don't really have interest to go beyond that.

It would be much faster if you didn't try to solo grind them...
Try selling off duplicate no value items (Like all your spare oberon BPs) under your miscelaneous items in your inventory, and some of the useless dupe mods in your fusion terminal. At the very least sell some of the fuck ton of sentinel mod dupes you probably have.

Void or Dark Sector missions give a good amount of dosh.
When in doubt, sell all your Oberon blueprint parts, too, they go for 7.5k a pop.

Did some research and seems like void is the best way to go - but wasn't there a 5 minute survival mission that yields 10-15k creds per run? I remember doing a ton of that before I temporarily quit WF

If you have a decent single target weapon you should be able to instakill capture targets, and you can get ~30k every minute or two with higher level keys.

There are dark sectors, that give 20k per solo run, you can do 5 rounds defense that could be about 3-4 minutes or 1 excavator in Excavation which is about the same time or a little faster. But if you have a lot of Void capture keys, it's much faster, you can do them like in 1 minute, if you use Volt/Nezha.

Pluto's Dark Sector Excavation is my favorite so far. 3 Excavators tick by pretty quickly and you'll get a guaranteed T3 or T4 key, as well as either some 3k-5k credit caches or a 5-pack of golden fusion cores, in addition to the 20000 credits for completing the mission and the usual XP and resource bonuses from Dark Sector missions.
Pretty good bag of mixed goodies for my purposes. Especially if you don't mind the credit caches.

No way in hell i'm getting Ivara via spy missions. Does Darvo ever sell warframes or does the price of Ivara in platinum ever drop over time in the store?

Just take Limbo, Loki, or a decent stealth frame and settle into a Grineer spy. Easier than Corpus, and it really isn't that bad compared to other frames.
I multitasked Ivara by levelling 4 frames from 0-30 on spy missions to get her parts. Then proceeded to get the blueprint and helmet back to back the next two spy missions after she was finished crafting.
Just do grineer spy missions (considering buying a holiday home on Hapke, basically lived there for a week) instead of corpus missions and it won't suck as much.
Getting Ivara is at least 5x less painful than getting Limbo.
I prefer corpus spy personally, it's more straight forward, just don't hit the lasers.

If you've got Limbo Corpus spy just becomes a joke as you walk straight through the beams, occasionally dispelling a camera or two
If Limbo is easier to get than Ivara then that gives me confidence.
Energy drain eximus gives me cancer every time.
