So I took a break from Warframe but I left a tab of wf.market open and I keep getting pm for people who want to sell me Primed Reach for a 40p buy order I have left over I still don't really want to close the tab but I've set my in-game status to offline and I just got another pm and it's even offering at R7 wtf I don't recall activity being that frequent on wf.market, does Primed Reach drop from a tree or something in the new update?
So instead of grinding the same mission type, you're grinding different missions and probably more of them?
Sounds like we'll not only have to get Projections, aka the new keys, but also level them up with Luminence for every single planet in order to unlock more than one kind of reward for the rng roulette. Did they really ever say they wanted to reduce the grind? Cause this couldn't get any more hypocritical if they did.
I mean, that all depends on how the numbers turn out. If just doing 3 random Void Tear missions would already give you enough Lumi to have a 50% shot at getting a drop that nowadays sits in RotC T3S at 5%, it would be great. I just hope they won't "play it safe" with terrible drop rates and then pull a 7000->3500 Oxium to soothe the outrage. But it'll probably take a long time for the community to determine how much Lumi matters and how much time and how many keys on average you'll now need to sink into rare Void drops. There's too many systems like choosing a reward or Lumi rebounce from team mates picking the drop you brought to the table to make a direct comparison in any other respect than average time and keys needed per drop IMO.
So instead of grinding the same mission type, you're grinding different missions and probably more of them?
Seems like the only real difference is they're adding a stage forcing you to grind exp for your void keys rather than just farming for the tier you want...

The grind is less simply because it's not RNG gated anymore.
The devs seemed to state that luminous drops inside void tears somehow but no idea how rare or in what quantities
I really hope they just screwed up the icons on those mock-ups and they're not seriously making keys drop regular weapon/warframe pieces [editline]7[/editline] Bonus: Forma with Orokin Cell icon
I really hope they just screwed up the icons on those mock-ups and they're not seriously making keys drop regular weapon/warframe pieces
Given that it says "Vauban Systems" without a mention of prime but it's a vauban prime icon... who knows?

So is rotation C hell a thing of the past now?
So is rotation C hell a thing of the past now?
Could be even worse, they haven't specified what you need to do to close a void tear so they could all be like 30 minute survivals or something also they haven't specified how rare luminous is so we could be spending 3 hours farming to unlock the capability to get, say, a chance at vauban prime even if you already have a key that works for them. So the new workflow apparently looks like: Farm projections -> farm luminous (presumably with other projections you have to farm) -> use all your luminous on one projection -> wait (god knows how long till a void tear is opened that you want) -> try desperately to find other people who have farmed luminous on the exact projection you have, possibly with no way to confirm it -> complete objective of unspecified difficulty -> repeat
Guess I was right to assume that the void rework wasn't gonna make things easier.
I know this question has probably been asked and dealt with, but what happens to our keys? will they be transferred into these new projection things or turned into ducats/cores?
I know this question has probably been asked and dealt with, but what happens to our keys? will they be transferred into these new projection things or turned into ducats/cores?
It's one of the first sentences in the post.
Any Void Keys you have will be converted into Projections of a similar tier
So higher tier means better tear? if so people could just farm t4 keys until update hits then just drown in prime garbage.
The concept of 'Key Sharing' has been an honor system for a long time in matchmaking. We are condensing that idea in this new system. For every Squad member with a Projection in their inventory, you'll get to select a reward based on the results of their Projections (there is a chance of duplicates and up to 4 rewards will be displayed). You’ll be able to select a reward from any of the Projections that were used by your squadmates for the mission. If more than half the squad chooses your reward, you’ll receive bonus Luminous (read on for an explanation of Luminous). Only players with a Projection will be able to select a reward. If the Tear is not sealed (or never activated at all), your Projection will not be consumed.
Tell me I'm reading this wrong, and it doesn't mean that now each player has to have a key to get a reward at all
Yeah but theoretically you could just use a trash projection while one player uses good projections to avoid wasting good projections.
Tell me I'm reading this wrong, and it doesn't mean that now each player has to have a key to get a reward at all
Dev confirmed later in the thread that you need a projection.
To receive a reward, you need to complete a Projection. We'd like to make Projections tradeable (some technical aspects to deal with), so there are a few ways you could load up a lowbie or an ally with Projections. You could, for example, give a Projection to each of your squad mates that has a part you need, then do a single Tear together for the most efficient chance at your item of choice (instead of running four keys back to back). Yes, this means less collateral prime parts, but that is also part of the point - efficient acquisition rather than a mountain of unwanted parts. Ducats and other variables can/will be tweaked accordingly.
[editline]dd[/editline] holy shit look at this fucking post
*walks in and scrolls through forums* Oh... Oh my, so far this seems really cool! It's dangerous to go alone... Take this. *pulls out large selection of craft beers, slides them to @[DE]Drew* SHARE! those imaginary beers are for everyone!
i just got cancer [sp]and shitposts like this kinda fuck up the discussion[/sp] [sp]also my warframe account is older than drews, nice[/sp]

i remember someone in the discord channel going deep into the RP section and telling us about a very creepy relationship between the kubrow and it's owner :v: edit:
why the fuck cant people just wait till its out to see if its good or bad like fuck its de theyre going to fix it in a couple of weeks if its broken anyway
They still haven't fixed sorties being shit and a sortie token system is still nowhere in sight
why the fuck cant people just wait till its out to see if its good or bad like fuck its de theyre going to fix it in a couple of weeks if its broken anyway
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah are we even playing the same game? The fucking Focus system was touched once. ONCE. And it didn't even solve any of the problems
PC is in the shop getting a stripped fan bearing fixed, is Specters out yet?
i'd say friday is a reasonable expectation
i'd say friday is a reasonable expectation
Thursday or Friday. Thursday is when the consoles are getting their updates for Lunaro, they could possibly release it alongside it.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah are we even playing the same game? The fucking Focus system was touched once. ONCE. And it didn't even solve any of the problems
The focus system being a bit grindy and unbalanced also isn't preventing anyone from getting endgame loot either? They're a small studio with a lot on their plate, they supposedly just hired a tonne of people so hopefully they'll have more room to work on a wider range of things soon. Keep your pants on, they fuck up a lot but it's not like they're actively sabotaging the game like some of the saltier players would have you think
I think de knows void is pretty important, its not like theyre going to let the end game flush itself down the toilet
Say that to every prime part being on rotation C.
Remember how DE said ducats would be used to purchase void parts by recycling old ones - and it would be how you got void items that are vaulted because vaulting is a terrible thing? Is this going to be the solution to vaulting then? Are all vaulted items going to return in this void update? If not, then I don't like it. If it does, then I do like it. It's the only thing I want from the void system, to stop vaulting.
Say that to every prime part being on rotation C.
Then what would you put into the rotation C? Ammo Drums? New Primes are mostly in rotation C for a reason. They encourage people to buy the Prime packs and then when the next Prime comes the other Primes usually become easier to get. If you pay you get everything instantly, if you don't pay you have to grind. If you wait your grind will be bit easier. Also there is always trading. You can just grind some other stuff and gain some plat and then trade with other people for the parts. This game is based on the grind and it has worked great so far. I don't see any reason for DE to massively rework that.
