We still had both t-72s and a bmp-3 and alpha still alive /w humvees. That was still do-able.
I was really looking forward to some action in the end. We all got regrouped and ready to go, suddently arty. Still, wasn't the most annoying thing. The thing that really rustled my rump was that the Bradley fucking took 3 APFDS Arounds from a t72 and have literally 2 fucks. Also H4b4sch got fucked up
We still had both t-72s and a bmp-3 and alpha still alive /w humvees. That was still do-able.
most of alpha died
We got respawned and drove back.
Oh boy I can't wait until RHS Drops their fucking Damage system. Even with RHS Vehicle vs RHS Vehicle it drives me mad.
most of alpha died
Before arty
Before arty
they came back and died when the mortar hit the large fuel tank [editline]11th October 2015[/editline] we died the first time because the postprocessing made it impossible to see who was shooting us from the ultra dark valley
I was a dumb and was using HE-I to attack an M113 with my BMD-2M It killed me with .50 :v:
Even though the game ended prematurely I had fun.
Even though the game ended prematurely I had fun.
tbh I was having a swell time even though our BMP did a sick flip right into some mines maybe we should do this mission next weekend with less mines

It's pretty clear to me that I spent too much time haunted by russian helicopters these last few months. However, I would like to point out that I wasn't informed about any kind of AI support, and the rocket strike was danger-fucking-close. I was damn sure they were engaging our tanks so I pooped my pants. It was only 20% my fault tbh.
Wasn't aware either. I was just watching over the first town, when suddenly explosions everywhere. Turned out to see what was going on, and saw rockets whizzing past my head towards the town. At first I thought that it was Enemy Air Support engaging our units in the town, but then saw that they were in fact Mi-8's Looked really impressive tho.
at least we got one of those fuckers
We never did rescue that SU-25 pilot...
My events of the mission were as follows: Walk into town Get shot once Die instantly before being able to return fire Respawn and head back Walk into town Get shot once Die instantly before being able to return fire [editline]12th October 2015[/editline] Then watch nukes go off
Mallow, was prevent instant death off? Or does it just work unreliably? I and the squad got fucked real bad on multiple occasions. 5-men-stronk not too stronk.
Mine was: Take point on a slope left of the street Drive into a mine Wait for sappers Watch helos do their firework Try to attack some enemy vehicle, but pesky grass blocks view Cant drive into pesky grass out of fear for mines nuke dark-as-my-soul PostProcessing Move into second town, proceed in removing freedom Bradley appears, proceeds to *plink* *plink* with puny cannon Eats 4 APFSDS rounds into the front, magically not doing any damage to the inner-workings of said Bradley or the crew inside. Hide from A-10, chill nuke 2.0
It was only 20% my fault tbh.
Remember when I said ID your shit before you shot it?
Remember when I said ID your shit before you shot it?
Don't pull that old line when you had optics and the pwople out of tanks didn't. It was very dark. It was so danger close I thought it was enemy.
I had to choose between optics that make me puke or optics that I can't see shit with. I wish that RHS would have optics that provide more than a 2° FOV and are bigger than 5cm on my screen.
Mine was: Mikes yelling commands I obey Mike tells me FULL SPEED AHEAD! I go fullspeed Accidently pressed D at 80 km/h BMP did a sick flip and lands perfectly Full speed again explodes seconds later Most fun i ever had driving a tank, we should replay the mission.
Mallow, was prevent instant death off? Or does it just work unreliably? I and the squad got fucked real bad on multiple occasions. 5-men-stronk not too stronk.
i got shot three times and only went unconcious, died instantly from the fuel dump blowing up
i got shot three times and only went unconcious, died instantly from the fuel dump blowing up
AI loved you in the first town. You were their prime target.
Remember when I said ID your shit before you shot it?
As I said, I spent too much time these last couple of months hiding from russian choppers. I did ID it, I did know it was russian, so I opened up on it naturally. I got too used to the thought that they are my enemies, and the danger close strikes, as I said, did not manage to convince me because I was pretty sure they were bombing our tanks (they weren't, but it definitely looked like it from my point of view).
First of all, that was fucking awful and I'm sorry, that was bad zeusing If anyone wants to have a go at modifying the mission and running it again feel free, I'll toss you the folder Imo the mines weren't a bad thing, they were intended to hold the armour back whilst the infantry entered the town and had some fun (which I do think happened), but people apparently didn't take the threat of AT mines seriously enough, leading to things blowing up Instadeath was on, which was a massive mistake, any rerun would want it turned off Artillery could have been better placed (they were actual fire missions by onmap artillery, I didn't expect it to be so accurate, I also fired some smoke rounds from them as a warning but that apparently didn't get through) If I did it again I'd probably respawn everyone when they died and would ace capture them to make sure they wouldn't have access to the most powerful reconnaissance tool in the game Also it didn't help that the RHS nuke apparently only works on targets close to sea level

Hammer 2 driving into one was our own fault. Wouldn't change anything here. I'm fine with leaving the Infantry to go first and have some fun. That way I can also make me some ramen/tea/coffee while having some banter in the tank until sappers give the go-ahead. We actually saw the smoke in the town, but just thought that people just accidentally popped smoke cover. For me it looked like white smoke, if you used red smoke then I might have seen something else. Nukes are fucked, thats why they removed them from the scud launcher and are only avaialble as a script function. IMO, i'd be up for fixing up the mission and finish it on sunday. Despite various things that happened, I had a great time.
Ace spectator stops me from using the escape menu, not sure if it's the same for others.
Honestly I'd happily re-run that without instant death as the short period I had shooting at enemies was quite fun.
