why you guys say instadeath do you mean that instadeath was on or was prevent instadeath on?
I also learned that APFSDS is practically useless against anything other than unarmored vehicles. Seems like HEAT is most effective against anything armored in RHS. (Which doesen't really make much sense to me).
Also mine detectors don't seem to work, clearing hammer 1 back to the road whist being gatted by the a10 was interesting to say the least when we had to do it eye and interact was a good mish just ended too soon

The issue is that due to engine limitations, ACE is IIRC using the Mine-detector for misc items like bandages since there's no misc item class that works with Arsenal. Due to this, they also disabled mine detection. That's actually really stupid, breaking vanilla features purposely without giving any disclaimer. So instead of working 40% of the time it now just works 0% of the time. [editline]12th October 2015[/editline] Oh nevermind, does not look like it's entirely on purpose, but a side effect of having other mine detectors in your inventory and it using only the first one it finds, in this case one of the medical items that have a detection range of 0.

I can certainly see why they did it.

Yeah I assume to the passengers behind you backblast from mods would be an issue, you can only fire frontally while standing up though, but because it also contacts the vehicle be assured for some explosions!
