Moral you better post that video of me doing a sick front flip in the truck and then landing it with no casualties.
Sometimes I forget how good looking Arma can be at times.

Also a pre-brief event was created for 30 minutes before the mission
Ahh yiss CUP Vehicles got released on the Steam Workshop.
woo?
Since a bunch of you had such a hard on for CUP, i kinda wanted to have a look at it myself, and i'm gonna say this - I'm really impressed with CUP's way of thinking green!
An Abrams Hybrid! A massive multi-fuel turbine engine kicks the beast into motion, and then the gentle whisper of the electric engines whizzing you across the landscape! Brilliant!
[vid]https://d.maxfile.ro/uxvyywjxyb.mp4[/vid]
Of course, the enemy will laugh at you for having a fucking hybrid tank, but they'll quickly realize it was a big mistake to underestimate the sneaking capabilities.
2016 Toyota Abrams
They call it the whispering death for a reason :V
CUP is still quite rough around the edges - however, we're going to pick it up because it works better than RHS, which works with nothing else, not even the base game
[editline]27th October 2015[/editline]
Also should be about ~4gb worth of memory space removed from the modpack
With CUP terrains, we should also be able to shave off the maps we don't use, further reducing modpack size
CUP supporting ACE already and Respects Vanilla Content and handles the same as vanilla content already makes it better than RHS for me.
Especially the fact that it uses the non-retarded damage system, where I don't have to consult a combination of Wikipedia, prayers and the blessings of RNGesus in order for hits to do Damage. (I'm looking at you APFSDS rounds).
Also the fact that drivers in Tanks have the Vanilla Driving optics, where you see 2x as much of your screen as opposed to RHS Tanks.
Also Non-retarded Gunner optics. In RHS, Zooming in Gunner optics does for the most part not zoom the optics at all, but changes the Optic mode to something else (NV, TW). I don't know if RHS missed the last 15 years, but thats what the N button is for.
I'm also really looking forward to CUP Terrains. Especially that AI can't see trough bushes and Trees anymore, which was something that was misconfigured in AiA.
I refuse to use CUP anything unless it merges with ACE because I personally like RHS.
I'd hold off from getting CUP just yet. It lacks some must have stuff like IFVs, and the units are not capable of replacing LOP just yet. It kind of sucks since most gear in LOP is inaccurate reskins of RHS gear, and CUP doesn't have most units finished since they have to seriously alter them.
We never really used RHS units though, so for replacing RHS it's basically just replacing the vehicles. For that, it's adequate and better in some cases.
Just got back from the future guys, got to check out Arma 5
Still no 3d interiors
A Prediction: We switch to CUP then people complains about everything is broken and begin demanding RHS back. :hammered:

Has there been any significant performance updates within the past months?

Too bad, we're already using CUP ;)
(CUP Weapons that is. Mostly the launchers tho.)
Also what has Merging CUP with ACE3 to do with you liking RHS?
A bit late:

So this has me worried:
After Nexus, players will be able to enjoy infinite jogging, basically: stamina only comes into play when players are in a flat-out sprint.
http://www.pcgamer.com/what-to-expect-from-the-next-year-of-arma-3-updates/
Why would they do this? There's hardly a punishment with the current stamina system, now they're going to make it even less punishing in that regard? Remember the Arma 2 system where if you sprinted forever you'd slow down to full-stamina walking speed? That worked pretty well. Give me that, not this stupid system.

The fuck are you talking about? With the current system your character goes out of breath and your aim goes completely uncontrollable after like 50 meters of sprinting with fairly light gear.

yes and no, it's fair that soldier should be able to run with his gear but they've made it so how much you carry, will give you less ability to sprint for long distances, or not at all.
It gives you less ability to do things, and ties into the armor system, carrying more protective gear = less time to sprint and it's kind of punishing in the stamina does drain quite quickly.
Yeah, fair one. I still don't like the idea of infinite jogging. It's bizarre that you're carrying 30+ kg of gear, yet it has no effect upon you because you're not sprinting.
Current system is poop.
New system is gud.
I don't care if it's realistic to be out of breath as soon as you leave the Base, I don't want to take stop and gather my stamina every 30 seconds.
New System also makes Rocket Launcher Carrying, Machine gun wielding ghillie suited and DLC Body armoured up infantry wearing carryall backpacks with Shitton of Ammo and Rockets players on ub servers completely unfeasible as opposed to annoying them.
I also like the fancy UI element it has c:

My time is limited, I wanna have walking / hiking segments as short as possible, and I really don't fancy the idea of being punished even more for being forced to walk in certain scenarios.
