I take full responsibility for shooting Ratcliff out of rage, but people really should learn to recognise that the Ghillie-suit wearing person looking at them and waving at them isn't hostile.

I didn't notice any dips until the end when many people rushed into the base but it was great, surprisingly so I didn't notice.

What is even Poe's law.
Does anyone have a clip of the pilot bailing out? I never got to see it because someone ran me over with a strider.

Or in other words, without the some signal (like emotions), there's no way on the internet to tell whether or not someone is being serious about something

I hope you know that ghillie suits aren't exactly known for making it easier to tell apart friend from foe. None of us knew that the recon team had any kind of special gear, and it's not like Mike personally shot at you either. It could easily happen that a new player shot at you, who knows, maybe we will never find out. Waving is not the best method of letting someone know that you are a friendly because they could have looked away for a split second or whatever. Take cover, take up your problem up the chain, and wait until it's clear.
I feel the uniforms in general weren't well thought out in this mission. We had very similar gear to the AAF and in the early morning hours my squad managed to take down both Tinter and Tomoe because the light conditions made us believe without any doubt that they were enemies. We only realised our mistake when it was too late.

Understandable but Accidental Blue on Blue never justifies Full Fledged Team Killing

I waved at them four separate times, it was pretty obvious that I was friendly, I looked nothing like the AAF, I didn't act like an AI, and I was making no attempt to shoot at Alpha. I find it hard to believe that they didn't know I was friendly - not to mention that I was teamkilled -again- when I got back to the helo.
Additionally, earlier both Tinter and Tomoe were killed by Alpha when they were right in the middle of the open, without acting like AIs, with friendly gear - I feel that people need to take more time to PID friendlies, although I admit Jager could have communicated our position better.

Command told us to fire on you apparently.
Well, people need to learn to take their own initiative, command can't see and hear everything
We're not a soviet motor rifle brigade where conscripts can only fire their rifles with the explicit will of the unit's political commissar

Well I guess we won't find out until whoever shot at you decides to comment.
As for Tinter and Tomoe, someone brought our attention to them as possible contacts. Tinter was completely still and went prone after receiving fire. None of his actions were distinguishable from AI. Friendly gear doesn't matter, guns weren't visible thanks to the darkness and they were wearing reskinned AAF uniforms just like us.
Server is now running @FP_viet so it will be possible to test whether you can actually join now.

But that's not how it works. There's a difference between knowingly shooting friendlies under orders and just double checking something with command if you are unsure.

I'm pretty sure there were some new/newer players that mission. I heard 1 or 2 people fire at most, so it was probably some really confused people who were getting conflicting orders.

I did reject SQL's order to shoot down the Heli at first, since I couldn't guarantee that the round would hit (It was flying away at a fast rate), and I only had a single Round.
So I waited until it came straight at me, and only shot once it was close enough to be sure that any kind of countermeasures would not work.
People were panicking for me to finally shoot, but the helo was still too far away to get a guaranteed hit.
When It got close enough, I fired and scored a direct hit without the Flares being effective. Helo Crashed quickly after that, putting my one and only round to good use.
So yes, even if command gives you an order, you need to assess the situation from your own perspective, since Command can't know everything and has to care about a lot of things.
My guess is, simple miscommunication. It can happen.
