Reminder that we have a mission tonight CO38 Capraia Sun [t]http://i.imgur.com/vJsZBIs.png[/t] What? Capraia Sun is a coop mission for 38 players. Rebel forces have been quite active in the Taliyakos island chain, south of Greece, demanding independence. UN forces, the majority made up of the reconstituted CDF, have been deployed to the island chain in order to protect civilians. After a CDF helicopter is downed over the island of Capraia, a US Ranger Quick Reaction Force is dispatched to rescue the CDF forces. Who? The mission is for 38 players. You can jump in on the day and take a slot, but there is a slot reservation system in place. If you have reserved a slot and don't turn up, then your slot is void. might drop actually, its fathers day also it's 4am so chances are i'll be asleep anyway
What gun does an AR use vs a Rifleman? I'm thinking of trying to get on but it's Fathers Day, so I probably won't reserve a slot.

Yes sure I'll take it. It being my asterisk spot
Not used exactly by us as described in the guide, but more important now that suppression is a thing. You can stop enemies advancing, keep them in cover to allow other people to flank them and basically just make them less effective as their accuracy drops.

Reminder that the mission is in two minutes
join pls
Couldn't come, really sorry.
top tier 9/11 mission apart from my bullshit death at the end
Mission was amazing from CDF perspective. Comfy castle camping.
CDF fucked the enemy up and carried everyone. Also Cuel and me are battle bros now. Holding an entrance by ourselves against infantry and armour.
CDF sat up in a castle while us fat americans did all the REAL work.
I didn't get left behind in the end, it was just my real mission starting. CDF always comes out on top. I hope the rangers were thankful for us protecting and rescuing them.

So yeah, regarding the lightning incident: How the mission worked was that when blufor reached point Oshkosh, everyone would respawn. However, Soleedus and Orwell, my unfortunate victims, were apparently detailed by Holt to push through everything. Of course, this would have prevented anyone from respawning if they died after Soleedus and Orwell had pushed so far ahead, and with most of the ranger force still fighting, then that would deny people who should have had the opportunity to respawn the opportunity to respawn. So, I first attempted to stop them by remote-controlling an AI AT dude, and I managed to fire at them - however, the rocket went about 3 inches above the top of the Humvee they were travelling in. So I wasn't able to stop them, and so took to using zeus to try and stop them before they reached point Oshkosh. I attempted to stop them by dropping some 155mm howitzers on their heads, but they were travelling so fast that they simply passed by the impact point of the rounds before they could land. By this time they had passed point Oshkosh and triggered the respawn, which wouldn't trigger again. So, in a fit of mild anger, I zapped the humvee that Soleedus and Orwell were travelling in with the zeus lightning bolt. In retrospect, this was a fucking awful idea, I could simply have asked them to stop, and I'm cursing myself right now as I should have done that. The respawn issue was fixed by manually executing the code on the serverside. Pretty much, the entirety of the fault for that incident falls to me and me alone. [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] Also, what did people think of the "Optics for Everyone" policy? I had the feeling that it would make the mission too easy but I guess not
How many mission makers does FPARMA have?
Cuel, me, mallow, fartparty and I can't recall anyone else who has made a mission recently.
Whitefox makes missions occasionally Hypnotoad made missions but he stopped and I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to make them
Optics didn't really matter much, the hard part was seeing the enemy through all the vegetation
