This seems pretty cool. The sounds for the weapons and explosions are nice, and the uniform models are good quality. I really like the inventory system they've added. You can only carry what you'd be able to physically carry on the gear that you have. In the case of the US Marines gear, the chest-rig you get has 5 M16/M4/AK pouches on it, so you can carry 10 magazines with it. If you try to add any more it'll spit the extras out of your inventory - and you definitely cannot carry MG ammo boxes. Have to stick any extras in your daysack.
There's also a medical system implemented, however I've yet to have a chance to play with it myself. Most of the time it's me getting shot and bleeding out in my tests! So I have yet to test it on an AI. I did see them dragging back wounded buddies from the formation, though, so that was nice to see. It's got gauzes/bandages, tourniquets and the faction equivalents of pain killers.
Worth keeping an eye on. They're going for a total-modification, from what I gather - not so much an addon compilation. Seems good so far!

It is an okay mod, with good sounds, but a number of systems like the complete removal of zooming, their own medical system which breaks the entire mod if removed, and their seeming focus on obscure Russian special forces weapons at the expense of combined arms will kill it for a lot of people (myself included), the amount of special snowflake that mod has makes it even worse than RHS.
Didn't VTN at the very beginning announce that they won't ever be compatible with ACE (Back when ACE or AGM wasn't a thing) and will do their own ACE-like system? And also won't be working with any other mods?

They're another total conversion mod and aren't really interested in being compatible with other mods, especially not for something like ACE where they're both making the same system differently, I.E. Medical system.
Yeah, I get that it's not a friendly mod for compatibility. I don't mind that if they're going for the whole haul and are trying to offer a different type of gameplay. Incompatibility for me is an issue if the mod isn't an all-in-one overhaul and breaks compatibility with other necessary mods.

I feel it works far better for a mod like VTN where they're actually touching the core gameplay, but for a mod like RHS they're basically adding some features which are kinda neat but it would just be better if the mod was compatible with even vanilla, even if it meant getting rid of these superficial features.
Nexus update is in RC right now, BI said a good two weeks and it will be on stable.
