Is there anyone who's willing to teach me the basics of this game? Or, well, how to get better at shooting in general? Is there any mouse settings in-game I can configure and if so to what?
Find the Aiming Deadzone slider in the options and ramp it up to a comfortable level. Practice range adjustment(PgUp/PgDown) and firing at moving targets(300 meters away=1 second to impact usually). Scopes are your friend. Use the C button to enable tactical walking for urban battle and, if you're fighting from cover, resting your gun as is always the better option, especially for everything that fires bullets bigger than a 6.5. Don't run and gun unless your enemy is right in your face. Crouch sprinting usually leads to not getting shot when moving to cover.
The basics are really simple and it just boils down to you knowing how to do stuff like drive, walk around, adjust range, and ID targets before you shoot at them. The tough part of Arma is putting your gameplay skills to good use.
Suppress the enemy and always keep a picture of the enemy's position and the cover from them. Good shooting is as much hitting your target as it is staying alive to keep your team together.
