basically for some stupid reason, the exe is compiled to always require admin (which will elevate using uac), the jar doesn't
change the start menu shortcut to point to the jar, change the icon to the icon sitting in the directory, problem solved (as long as arma3sync isn't installed to %programfiles%)

The ORBAT was something I really enjoyed in the campaign and BI missions and tried to replicate some of this in yesterdays OP aswell.
It was my first time working with ORBAT and thus it has some mistakes in it, like duplicated 1'st Fighter Division and some of them not showing the entire command chain.
I'm definitely gonna continue with those in future missions, where it's appropriate.

Whenever I had to do player placed fortifications, I basically just used the R3F Logistics script.
It has a "Factory" which is an object that allows the players to spawn various kinds of objects (You can define which are allowed) and set up a budget much like the Zeus cost system.
And then you have the logistics part where you can drag the objects you define around and place them where you want them.
Been using it since Arma 2 and IMO it's the best script for player built fortifications I've come across.

There was a lot of buffoonery. Aside from some terrible memeing, the "interesting" beginning and general fuck ups...I actually enjoyed the mission quite a lot, Alpha did it's job quite well with no major casualties while following orders given to them.
I do wish that the mission went on for a little longer and that there was maybe more enemies, but that could have been down to the IFV tearing shit up.

i think the heavy green AAF vest goes really well with IDF, i want to chuck it into the loadout
i think I might do it anyway, i'll make a box with normal vests if you happen to get one and dont own the dlc

I think you can force the DLC loadout onto people without the DLC with scripting
I think Charlie did okay and we were total war heroes coming to the rescue of the Pandur even if it had kind of rescued itself by the time we made it to it.

Aren't you allowed to spawn with, but not swap the DLC equipment? I remember spawning with Marksman vests before and nothing alerted me.

i know you can do that, it's just that if you don't own it you'll be attacked with intermittent popups that are only slightly invasive. you don't have to click out of them, but they can obstruct your vision a bit
if you get a dlc vest and don't own the dlc you can swap it out for a vanilla one, but you can't pick the dlc vest back up

you could make a check if the player owns the Marksman DLC and if he does, give him the vest, and if he doesen't, give him an alternative.

Well, the CUP vehicle pack is adding the AV-8B with a whole load of loadouts, along with other stuff like the LVTP-7A1, technicals and BRDMs
Expect it to be in the modpack
