It would have been nice if we got briefed on some small details, like ROE, and who our allies or enemies are. I'm not asking for much here, surely. I still don't know if there were indeed suicide bombers, and if yes, how were we supposed to handle civilians. This wasn't just a logistical nightmare, it was a nightmare on every level.
I really liked the sound of the rifles we got in this mission, very powerful. We should use them more
Death is totally free then, you just respawn and teleport back into battle.
We could have respawn done with checkpoints like in previous ops, that worked just fine and it's far better than having to patch up an entire squad that just died in some stupid truck accident. It's not like you necessarily have to wait 10 minutes every time you get shot either, it can be a matter of seconds if there's a friendly medic nearby and death is essentially free in that situation. There's also the fact that people never seem to wake up on their own and went unconscious with the tiniest bit of damage with that setting on, i don't know if it was the recent update but i actually got knocked off my feet and could wake up on my own on this OP, it made firefights much more interesting.

TBH I'd like to enable instadeath in our missions, and ACE capture anyone who dies But then again, we have too few players for it [editline]16th August 2015[/editline] Plus we just need more missionmakers and tempo of operations
http://arma3.swec.se/game/data/9047712 Alvy -2 score Explain that rey
I see -1 score, I think I might've shot Redgord thinking he was an enemy...I always do that to Red :v: EDIT: On second thought, I think I know why my score is -1, I think it's because the game thought I suicided because I fell through the staircase and died?
no fucking way, its your responsibility to keep track of the front vehicle and keep spaces, don't be an ass about it.
As I had explained to Kauk, We were ordered to go full throttle. We got a little close to Charlie 2 and once I had realized they weren't going full speed I attempted to slow down. After that Charlie 2 slammed on it brakes a second later and at that point it was too late. To be honest in this case Both Vehicles are at fault. We need to start calling out our stops / turns prior when we do convoys and shit next time.

It may be related to short range radios? I'm not sure.
into a rock or an IED no fucking way, its your responsibility to keep track of the front vehicle and keep spaces, don't be an ass about it.
Pulling off the road to break isn't that much to ask for though. IEDs on the side of a road a non issue because no one puts IEDs there hoping that trucks are going to pull onto it, and you should be able to look out for rocks most of the time. A broken tire from running over a rock is worse than losing 3 trucks. Of course it's not your fault as keeping track on what's going on behind you is pretty hard, but pulling away from the road could've helped and it's not too hard to do.

Video is going to be just some highlights. Way too long and too many stops and starts for a full length video.
Alpha was radioing every time we planned to slow down and called turns, so I think there was some failure of communication somewhere? It may be related to short range radios? I'm not sure.
Yeah Alpha had some rock solid communication about the vehicles. It was being passed on both SR and LR whenever were stopping. Halfway through the mission, not sure who, but they kept on trying to overtake us in the convoy so we weren't in front then it started to go a bit down hill from there since the lead vehicle just gave up communication entirely.

If an RPG explodes in my face I should be DEAD.
Custom face ban when. [t]http://i.imgur.com/GiJyvJX.png[/t]
Main issue I had was the trucks being so loud constantly that it was hard to hear between SR and LR along with people talking in proximity chat. What I loved most though was the interactions between players and game masters. Such as Toad playing a solider at a checkpoint or the quartermaster. Really added to it all.

I'd like to apologize for my fucking around I did in the op today, it dragged the rest of the OP down with it, revving the engine, Team-Killing, driving like I'm playing Dirt Rally and all that shit. Also want to know if anyone is interested in a small Saturday coop I have nearly finished for roughly 12 or so players, it will have instant death and some elements of having to work stuff out and not being spoon fed, it also uses totally vanilla content.
On the topic of apologizing, I want to take some time out to apologize for getting somewhat mouthy in global chat, that was not the right course of action and I know that I can pull the excuse of "I was up for 18 hours and not feeling good and wah wah" but honestly, it was really shitty of me to say stuff like "Are we just going to sit here?" and "Will the 15 minute breaks stop any time soon?" I see it as very immature of me, and would like to apologize for that, despite feeling somewhat sick, tired, and also having a more explosive attitude because of that, it was uncalled for and I really should've just left and stayed quiet instead of opening my mouth. I even remember saying to Mallow that "I usually wouldn't say this" so I personally want to go out of my way to apologize to command and the event organizers, it was really shitty of me to act the way I did in global chat.
In case you're wondering if you can do stealth in Arma, yes you can. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Q6mx1V6.jpg[/t] You just have to be vewwy, vewwy quiet.

So, it is safe to say that Bravo squad was best squad?
Honestly I didn't pay attention to the chat at all I only used it to get Cloak and Toad's attention when they weren't responding on the radio I was too busy trying to decipher the non information command was giving me, and trying to hear the radio over those fuckloud trucks, and as for the constant breaks, it was because the convoy kept getting separated. People would crash or get run over or spend ten minutes not doing anything because somebody took off all their clothes for some fucking reason and now had no gear at all, or I'd constantly be interrupted when I finally get command on the radio. and my priority was to hold and regroup before the entire situation turned into a total cluster fuck But all in all it was way to fucking stressful to be platoon lead. I wasn't very good at it, it's not a slot I pick often and it'll probably be a while before I do it again So for all that, im also gonna hop onto the apology train
somebody took off all their clothes for some fucking reason
That would be me. While I was in ACE Surrender mode, somebody removed all my gear, and thus was unable to put the clothing back on, since it was meant for a different faction (Civ I think). So yeah, thats that.
Rocks please.
I can see it now... Gaza Striptease 2?
I briefly considered giving a bunch of practice grenades to civvie ai for Gaza Striptease, but those still explode and it'd cause a shit storm even though the grenade doesn't even do any damage

Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?
