Yo Get in the server dudes
Anyone else getting errors when you didnt have them before?
If anyone cares at this point I can't play today. Pretty tired and construction workers are making tons of noise. So take my slot if you haven't already.
mission starts arma crashes teamspeak crashes task manager wont open WELP.
What's the channel password in TS3? [editline]a[/editline] And the server. :v:
peps were pretty eager to start without me
Alv~: zez was that you i was hanging out with Alv~: after i shot your entire squad, it sounded like you zez: probably zez: if you were the blu guy Alv~: i was in blufor Alv~: yes Alv~: that was me zez: wasn't my squad anyway Alv~: rip Alv~: who were they zez: alpha lel Alv~: rip alpha boys
Apparently Alpha had no clue I was an enemy because our suits were too similar...also, my game kept crashing and maintaining an FPS above 15 was pretty much impossible.
Lost power because of a thunderstorm, come back and I had no idea what was going on. I guess it was fun to run around looking for friendlies, which I didn't find, I didn't find anyone.
Me neither, no idea what I was doing, I just walked around the wilderness alone for 5 minutes then the mission was lost and everyone left. Was that it? Actually wasn't it supposed to start in 5 minutes? I thought I was showing up early.
that was an extremely gash mission if you wanted feedback for that TEST WIP then you've got it. opfor and indfor looking identical from 200 meters out, squad leaders wearing white????, distinct advantage to opfor's spawning position and it just running poorly despite a lack of AI
Also CUP Saiga has an effective range of 5 meters. I had to spam 20 buckshot rounds into some poor dude to kill him.
Alv~: we spent more time setting up the mission than we did playing it Alv~: lol Akula: fparma.jpg
Yeah, pretty much the best explanation I can think of, don't take it too hard though, if it wasn't so crashy and laggy performance-wise then I would've stuck it through but I kept crashing over and over.
How hard is it to make missions now that Zeus is a thing? I have a pretty cool idea for a mission but not too sure what I'm getting myself in to.
Anyone can do it if you give yourself enough time, for a Zeus op you just need a solid idea of what to do, sort out the objectives and spawns and respawns and spawn in enemies yourself.
How hard is it to make missions now that Zeus is a thing? I have a pretty cool idea for a mission but not too sure what I'm getting myself in to.
Zeus is a bit hit and miss, given it's hard as a player to not abuse the situational awareness you're granted. It's good though given it makes the AI appear like they're a reactive force, rather than individual elements working by themselves. As far as the mission editor is concerned, I'd recommend you watch this Arma 2 tutorial series. It's what got me into mission editing, and a lot of it is still applicable: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL72C90619AC5646B7 There's also a series made by another guy for Arma 3, which is a little bit more advanced, but should still be helpful for people new to editing: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrkL6P4ISPsQMcXwI9ropkctVrxaPRUE7

[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20521740/ShareX/2015/08/2015-08-22_15-42-51.mp4[/vid] Jesus this was way to much fun.
Guys reminded me of a mission, TVT We were driving, got desync and ended up out of the car, abanonded. Enemey came out of no where, i end up joining up with them and pretending im with them, it worked until someone actually noticed " hey that guy has a red name"
These escape missions are fun as hell (except for the whole raining ifrits thing)
custom faces are disabled now and voting treshold raised to 30%
custom faces are disabled now and voting treshold raised to 30%
A REAL HUMAN BEING.
and a real hero
IMO the TvT wasn't a bad effort, it had some neat mechanics. However, it was a test, and coupled with the fact that I have TvTs with a passion, it wasn't that good. However, if CSLeader puts efforts into his missions and has better design decisions, I feel like they could be good.
custom faces are disabled now and voting treshold raised to 30%
nothing of value was lost you're a legend now if you can find a way to auto-ID ban memes then we'll be perfect
I dislike TvT because it feels like it's more effective for everyone to split up and use guerilla warfare, but I want to stay together
i agree with killdozer, but i see tvt as a warm-up/cool-down for the main event when we used to play arma 2 i felt we did way too many tvts (24/7 cache hunt anyone? thanks 2nd47), and now in arma 3 i feel we don't do enough of them [editline]22nd August 2015[/editline] sorry i called you niklas. at a glance, your avatars look the same to me
I'd probably say decrease the control point amount, make them more focused, always give each team one close enough they can fall back on; make it only capable to cap a point with 2 or more players. Remove WICE news, unlike COOP it doesn't make sense.
