Not nearly as bad as the yesterday game I was in. We were driving a convoy through Altis at about 5:30, when suddenly the fog started lifting out of the ground. Didn't matter much since we were supposed to drive the convoy out of bog and up to Negades. However, as we scale the serpentine I notice that the fog is lifting, and in a time span of a minute this nigh fucking impossible to see through layer of fog completely obscures everyone's sight. No joke, I never saw that happen in Arma before.
Thanks to Tomoe, some of us already know how to navigate that kind of thick fog with our eyes closed.
can't wait for you worthless fucks to realise that the mission is just logistical nightmare with an extra toad in the children getting attacked photo you'll see the slow fucker trucks and take your own lives

can`t wait
Lowered the sound of the rubber boat and speed boat in dev so come the stable new release 1.50 I can maybe not get deafened by 2 stroke engines

No more falling down buildings when you turn in a tight spot would indeed be nice.
Going to make mish on Sunday so Endgame people can have their own day and because shit has come up on Saturday.
Going to make mish on Sunday so Endgame people can have their own day and because shit has come up on Saturday.
good boy.
It would be ten times worse is what I meant.
Solution: Stop looting enemy kit
Solution: Stop looting enemy kit
This times a million. Too many people steal AKs, RPGs and enemy uniforms or turbans or whatever when we have perfectly good uniforms and weapons given to us. You sound like the enemy, you look like the enemy, and with the amount of team killing going you might as well be the enemy. Keep the gear you are given.
A reminder that End Game still has two player slots to fill, and seven team slots to decide (2 BLUFOR, 5 OPFOR). Also, the VRDM has 18 players max, rather than 16 - so if you don't want to play End Game but do want to play that, you could probably fit in. Assuming people do want to play it after End Game.
put me on blue

It's not a solution, though not taking what they're wearing is probably a good idea.

Context is important for looting the enemy bodies, and it also depends on what kind of things you are gonna loot. Medical Supplies, Grenades and other misc items are free game. Launchers, Mostly all right, but could still potentially make people think you're an enemy if you are on the other side of a wall, and only the tip of your RPG is visible. But that should happen so rarely that it doesn't matter. Rifles? Only when you are low on ammo, and no opportunity to refresh supplies, unless your side has the same guns as the Enemy Faction. (Russians vs Insurgents for example). Uniforms / Vests / Hats? Big fat no-no. Backpacks? Should be safe.
What about tinters mission scheduled last sunday?
if tinter wants to do it on sunday especially, then we'll put the mission back to the weekend after next and mothball it for now.
My mission is especially broken, so no need to worry about that. If I get it fixed at all I can wait a week to schedule it.
My mission is especially broken, so no need to worry about that. If I get it fixed at all I can wait a week to schedule it.
Cool. Sunday it is.

But the one OP I did with you guys was incredibly frustrating because multiple people had picked up AKs and RPGs about five minutes into the OP, and decided to stand around on rooftops with weapons up. This was about the same time that our IFV was dodging RPGs and small arms left and right, so it was kind of a pain having to meticulously inspect every target outside of FLIR for the uniform underneath the vest and weapons. [editline]25th August 2015[/editline] I mean usually all the vehicles you guys start with have plenty of ammo in them too, but everyone is very eager to pick up enemy kit.
i'll admit i'm usually one of the first to drop my M4 for an AK or my AK for a FAL or anything at all really [editline]25th August 2015[/editline] however it's not extremely often that i'm teamkilled so i guess i'm just lucky
I often see Uncouth taking all the watches off of corpses, without regard to faction or side. What am I supposed to? I'm quite worried.

It's when everyone has RPGs slung on their shoulders while wearing the enemy's headgear and chest rigs that things start to get really messy.
Launchers, Mostly all right Backpacks? Should be safe.
Take one or both and from a bit of distance away and from behind you will look exactly like an enemy.
The solution is to have effective communication to know where your pals are. Anything can look like an enemy when far enough away.
The solution is to have effective communication to know where your pals are. Anything can look like an enemy when far enough away.
Also proper and promt resupply can solve the problem of people picking up enemy weapons because they don't have any ammo However, this is for the mission, and both the plat lead and the squad leaders need to known when to call in the resupply elements.
Take one or both and from a bit of distance away and from behind you will look exactly like an enemy.
Which is exactly the time where you don't engage the target because you can't identify if it's friend or foe or even a civillian. If it starts to engage you, then go ahead and return fire. If it does not then don't shoot at it. If you see the unit in a place where friendlies are or previously went, then assume it is friendly. If the unit is in a place where no one was before or is not supposed to wander off to, then you can assume it's an enemy. Basically, only shoot at the target if you are damn sure it's an enemy. going just by the Backpack and maybe a launcher is not the most accurate assumption. Especially since we often use the same backacks for both friendlies and enemies, and lauchers look very similiar at long range (ie. small line of pixels on the back of a small pixelized unit in the distance).
Its still retarded to steal enemy gear that makes you look or sound like them
Make a script that removes every item the enemy is wearing when they die except for the uniform to make them not look naked. No more looting. No more bitching about looting. No more bitching when getting killed because of looted gear. Problem solved. Make sure there's logistics for getting ammo to the front Problem solved.
