Okay this is just ridiculous. Partied up with a friend and we got in a 2v4 match.
the matchmaking really needs some work and abandoners needs to be punished in my opinion. I've lost so many matches simply because people keep leaving the match, leaving me alone or with another guy against a full team
Luckily the devs plans to make a complete overhaul of the current matchmaking/levelling system, hopefully soon.
August 4th Patch Notes
User Interface Interface Update - The Frontend UI has been overhauled for a cleaner, more functional experience. - Please report any severe bugs on the forum! Store - New, more space efficient display for better browsing - Weapons and Skins can now be previewed in 3D by clicking on the "Eye" icon for eligible items - Sales are now supported and will begin appearing soon! Armory - 3D preview is now the default view and will show your current loadout, including equipped weapons and skins. - Rewards for Class Leveling now shown on Class Info page. Party System Beta Test New Party Server - We are rolling out the first pass at our new Party system backend. - This replaces the existing Party backend with a faster, more reliable system that should make partying up a much smoother experience. - This is a public BETA of the system and THERE ARE BUGS! Please report issues you encounter on the forum, and see the known issues list below. We intend to rapidly hotfix major problems with this system. Party Balancing - In significantly unbalanced matches, player parties will now be split up amongst teams to achieve a better balance. This will only happen if the average rank of one team is at least 10 ranks higher than that of their opponents, and will typically only affect larger parties (3-4 people). You will be notified in lobby chat when this occurs. - Parties will still be kept together in all other circumstances. You will not be split up against evenly matched opponents. Matchmaking and Team Balancing Team Deathmatch Level Requirement - The primary "Team Deathmatch" Playlist now requires Rank 3 to queue up for. New players must play in "New Recruit" until they achieve that rank. Matchmaking Tweaks - While the full overhaul to Matchmaking is not ready yet, we have made a few small changes to place more emphasis on finding a match of players close to your Rank. - Intermission time between matches has been reduced to 30 seconds from 60. The Fane Bug Fixes - Fixed issue preventing some abilities and other actions like Execution from functioning correctly inside the center of the map - Fixed miscellaneous collision issues - Performance optimizations Deceiver Infect - Reduced impact damage to 205 (was 225) and DoT damage to 200 (was 250) Shroud - Shroud is now more visible than before to enemies Reaver Sweeping Kick - Damage increased to 400 (was 375) - Now pushes enemies backwards while they stumble - Cooldown reduced to 8 seconds (was 10) Leap Attack - Damage reduced to 200-350 (was 225-422) Tyrant Charge, Marathon - Tyrant now has a latent telekinetic "shield" effect while charging to indicate that he will deflect incoming projectiles like Bolas while Charging. Prophet Eldritch Guard - Cooldown increased to 20 seconds (was 15) - Duration reduced to 8 seconds (was 10) - Shield reduced to 325 (was 350) - Fixed a bug causing the tooltip to show 0 Shield Amount Sentinel - Slight modifications to flight display and motion blur - Added "Flying Tutorial" to the Tutorial section Siege Mode - The Fane has been been added to the Siege Mode rotation. Known Issues - Infrequently, the host of a party may not see the invited player in their party list in the UI. - If two players quit an active game and form a party, the party host can matchmake successfully but the client may encounter difficulties. - Closing Nosgoth via Windows (or alt-F4, etc.) while in a party may cause adverse effects. For now, as long as you quit via the in-game Exit prompts, you will correctly leave your party. - Motion Blur stays on even when turned off in the options. - Siege Mode Points sometimes don't display their charge.
They're still working on the matchmaking overhaul.
I just got 3 beta keys. if you or a friend wants to give this a try, PM me!
Does anyone have a spare key? It's for a friend who I'd like to play with.
I have three keys if anyone wants them.
I thought this game wasn't going to be nearly as good as it was. I'm very glad I was wrong. Having tons of fun with it. Glad they gave an opportunity for non-buyers to try it out.
I'd ask, but my machine probably wouldn't be able to run it full stop, let alone at any high framerate.
I'd ask, but my machine probably wouldn't be able to run it full stop, let alone at any high framerate.
It runs surprisingly well imo..
Maybe on a Windows 7 machine, but I'm still woefully behind the curve in terms of RAM and OS.
I'm having trouble with the game. Basically after 5 minutes or so it will disconnect from the game to the lobby. After that, I get stuck in an infinite authentication loop when trying to join a game.
It's way better than what I was expecting, I really like it. It runs surprisingly well imo..
Not really. It runs well on good machines, it runs poorly on old machines. The settings don't really scale all that much.
I really don't like the Sentinel ability that lets you grab people. As it is right now it's very very easy to take someone out of a fight simply because you can make such a tight circle while using the skill. IMO they should change it so you can only move ever so slightly to the left or right not have a full range of motion. Also it can be comboed so easily into an easy kill it's stupid. Grab, drop, dive bomb, slash 2-3 times. Done.
Yeah, it's like TF2's charge-turning pre-Love and War. Wouldn't mind a nerf to Sentinel's mobility.

You can physically pass through a Human, staring almost directly in to them, but miss the grab completely. Restricting the ability to correct would basically make it impossible to ever hit or land as all they have to do is easily roll out of the way or even just walk to the side a bit. So their solution was to give it a tight turn radius. You have to be accurate, but you have a lot of room for correction. Its really not that hard to avoid if you pay attention to your surroundings and know how and when to move. Yeah, but drastic u-turns mid-air? Doesn't feel right
Funny thing about the Grab is that I, myself, cannot grab anyone unless they are standing still on high elevated flat surface and I still have like 10% chances of actually not failing it :v:
Yeah, but drastic u-turns mid-air? Doesn't feel right
Believe me, trying to do that for a grab will almost never work, and quite often get you in a position you can't readily get out of.
Ever since I threw healing flask on my alchemist I've been doing a lot better.
Ever since I threw healing flask on my alchemist I've been doing a lot better.
Alchemist is my Fav Human class, i basically can't hit anything else as everyone else, but with Alchemist i can just snipe with this shit. I am thinking about getting a Fullbore cannon but i'm holding off with all of my Purchases/Chest openings since they are going to relase 2 more classes!
Here are some beta keys for you guys. BENUDE-757-CADATE-235 FAPUDA-957-GOGOFA-225 FAWOME-255-COWODA-205 TEBUDE-275-BOLAFA-205 BEWOFE-207-JANANE-225 Enjoy

I feel like the alchemist needs to be buffed a little bit though, their grenade launcher does shit for damage despite the difficulty curve. Also I feel like making it so you have to rent weapons is retarded. Why not just give us permanent unlocks?
Are you kidding, the grenade launcher does a shitton of damage. And you can buy permanent weapons, sooooo.
I agree about GLs, and you can either Rent for 7/30 days or Unlock Permanently, you just need to click "Buy"
Are you kidding, the grenade launcher does a shitton of damage. I feel like the nade launcher does less damage if you damage yourself too because I die before they even drop to 200hp.

MELEE" CQC is not humans best side, even with GLs A.K.A. try to aim better with GL at longer ranges
I agree about GLs, and you can either Rent for 7/30 days or Unlock Permanently, you just need to click "Buy"
Actually, equipment can be rented for one week, or bought permanently. Perks can be rented for a week, 30 days, or bought permanently. But the cost on perks to actually buy them is insane.
Alchemist is meant to be a support class, you would do tons of damage with the grenade launcher, but will have difficulty killing things with it, especially one on one. I use it to hit any vampires that might be around corners or on rooftops.
I think that Hunter and Alchemist are the Damage Dealers while Prophet and Scout are the supportive classes, but with switchable skills we got we can transform them all around and thier non-existant roles
