I use a thumb button as "move forward", and my other two are "use" and "reload". I also remapped the horizontal scroll feature to scroll up/down instead, but that's just because my wheel's getting worn down.

[I]Tribes 2[/I] defaulted to ESDF for controls, allowing QWAZ to easily reached for hotkey stuff like popping medkits and switching weapons. Worked great. I used it up til around 2007 when I encountered games that either didn't let you rebind controls or would behave weirdly when you did.
