I might be using "FXAA injector," I installed it and changed some settings, but I just assumed it wasn't working because the game was still fairly toned down given the settings I was running

If you're still wondering, go into Nvidia Geforce Experience, then into the preferences tab, then the share tab in it, and at the complete bottom there should be an option to deactivate the overlay.

It's definitely improved
I experienced zero bugs across two maps, and it was actually possible for allies to win
also, a dev was in my game, so they're at least [i]aware[/i] that T-Rexes are just alarmingly overpowered now

Call of Chernobyl basically looks like that (CoC is a mod) "vanilla" since it has Atmosphere 2 and shit, looks like he's using the STCS weapon replacer pack aswell.

It's not super important where you start, the stories are mostly contained within the separate games (you won't really miss out on very important things by not playing the first 2 games)
If you want to see how the series started and gain a deeper understanding of the world, start with Shadow of Chernobyl
If you want a more polished and easy-to-play experience, start with Call of Pripyat
Shadow of Chernobyl is the first game in the series, and many will probably say you should start there.
Clear Sky is the second game and well known for it's bugginess (at launch), but it had a lot of cool technologies for the time.
Call of Pripyat is the third game, and probably the easiest to get into.

No it was a public server. The servers are kinda empty on mornings but fortunately there's enough people to fill a 64 slot server when it's afternoon
